Recently, two earth-shattering events shook the globe.
The first was the dramatic conclusion to the armored vigilante saga, punctuated by Tony Stark's iconic press conference declaration: "I am Iron Man!" With those four words, the world officially stepped into the Age of Superheroes.
It was an epoch-making event. Yet, the second major incident that occurred was in no way inferior—in fact, its geopolitical implications were arguably far more terrifying.
This event revolved entirely around the White Demon, the apocalyptic Level 5 mutant.
The rising star of the journalism world, Eddie Brock, published another explosive front-page article for the Daily Bugle:
"Recently, an unprecedented terrorist attack took place in Harlem. Two terrifying, green-skinned behemoths rampaged through the district, completely ignoring the concentrated firepower of the U.S. military and slaughtering innocent civilians.
"In this moment of absolute crisis, the White Demon stepped forward. With a single, casual strike of his terrifying black-red singularity, he instantly crushed the two indestructible monsters!
"But make no mistake—the White Demon is no saint. He truly lives up to his moniker!
"The black-red singularity he unleashed didn't just defeat the monsters; it atomized dozens of buildings, resulted in massive collateral damage, and permanently altered the geography of Manhattan, leaving a multi-kilometer-long trench in its wake! The sheer scale of his destructive capability vastly eclipses the combined threat of both green monsters!
"Furthermore, after analyzing the high-definition footage I captured, a chilling truth has emerged: the White Demon's power is rapidly and stably evolving. During his first recorded use of the black-red singularity, the energy was visibly unstable and chaotic. Experts theorized that the attack severely drained him, which is why he spared the military strike team that day.
"But this time? The activation speed was nearly instantaneous. The singularity was perfectly stable, and its raw destructive yield was exponentially higher than the first!
"As we know, Level 5 mutants possess theoretically infinite potential. The White Demon is a walking, breathing testament to that terrifying reality! I boldly predict that his current strength is nowhere near his absolute limit! As time passes, he will only grow stronger, to the point where even a direct nuclear strike might prove completely useless against him!
"I ask the military and the government once again: How do you plan to handle the White Demon? Taxpayer money should not be used to feed incompetent trash. We demand a viable, transparent contingency plan!"
In a hidden, subterranean base, Magneto lowered the newspaper. A rare, genuine smile spread across his face.
Standing beside him, Mystique was deeply intrigued. Ever since their plans to eradicate humanity had faced repeated setbacks, she couldn't remember the last time Erik had smiled so sincerely.
She leaned over to read the article. As she skimmed the details, a look of absolute shock washed over her features.
Even for a Level 5 mutant, the White Demon's growth rate was completely incomprehensible!
Seeing the shock on Mystique's face, Magneto adjusted his telepathy-blocking helmet. "Raven," he said, his voice brimming with satisfaction, "it seems that even without our direct guidance, this new power is naturally walking the correct path. Our cause grows stronger by the day."
...
At the exact same time, within a classified laboratory beneath Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, Professor X set down the same newspaper and heavily massaged his temples.
After a long silence, he turned to Jean Grey.
"Jean, we must attempt to establish contact with him again. He is rapidly plunging into darkness. If we leave him to his own devices, a power of that magnitude will inevitably cause irreparable devastation."
Jean nodded in agreement. But what Professor X failed to notice was the faint, lingering flicker of crimson light burning deep within her eyes—a light that refused to fade.
Meanwhile, in a sprawling, cliffside mansion in Malibu, the two main protagonists currently dominating the world's attention were casually sunbathing on a luxurious patio. Beside each of them was a stunning woman attending to their needs.
If any paparazzi had managed to sneak a photo, they would have instantly recognized the two beauties as Hollywood's most recent breakout actresses.
Yet, these A-list stars were completely relegated to background extras in this scene, without a single line of dialogue.
"By the way, Su Mu," Tony Stark suddenly spoke up from behind his designer sunglasses. "Before you went off to play Godzilla in Harlem, you said you had something very important to tell me. What was it?"
Su Mu, dressed in loud floral swim trunks and sipping a glass of obscenely expensive red wine, lazily enjoyed the Hollywood actress massaging his shoulders. Hearing Tony's question, he stretched lazily.
"Ah, right. Your body is currently failing, isn't it?"
Tony's expression instantly froze. He forced a strained, dismissive laugh.
"What? Don't be ridiculous. I'm the picture of perfect health."
Su Mu offered a mysterious, knowing smile and didn't bother to argue.
"Here is the deal," Su Mu proposed smoothly. "As long as you provide me with an unlimited, on-demand supply of Arc Reactors... I will solve your little terminal health crisis."
Tony blinked, stunned by the sheer confidence in the boy's voice. "It's that simple?"
Seeing Su Mu nod, Tony didn't hesitate. "Done. You have a deal."
Su Mu leaned forward, allowing the blonde actress to feed him a cherry. He chewed it slowly before speaking.
"Your current predicament is heavy palladium poisoning, which is why you've been chugging liquid chlorophyll to temporarily suppress the symptoms. If you continue relying on palladium cores to power the reactor keeping you alive, you will absolutely be dead in the near future."
The two Hollywood actresses instantly froze, staring at Tony Stark in sheer horror. The richest man in the world, the invincible Iron Man... is dying?!
Seeing Tony instinctively reach for the glass of green chlorophyll on the table to cover his shock, Su Mu chuckled.
"Don't be so tense. The cure—a brand new element—is already hiding inside your own home. It's concealed within the diorama of the Stark Expo your father left behind. Look closely at the layout. With your intellect, you'll figure it out instantly."
Su Mu stood up, dusting off his hands. "Goodbye, Tony. Next time I come to collect my Arc Reactors, I'll give you another piece of intel. Trust me, it's just as important."
Then, under the absolutely bewildered stares of Tony Stark and the two actresses, the space around Su Mu warped, and he vanished into thin air in the blink of an eye.
Tony stared at the empty space, shaking his head with a helpless, amazed smile.
"That kid... he got even stronger."
At that exact moment, heavy footsteps echoed from the mansion's entryway. Nick Fury strode onto the patio, his single eye fixed on Tony, followed closely by SHIELD agents carrying a heavy silver briefcase containing Howard Stark's effects.
Before Fury could even deliver his dramatic speech, Tony leaned back in his lounger and offered a mocking, arrogant smirk.
"If you're here to talk about the new element, pirate, you're late. I already know where it is."
Nick Fury: "..."
High above the clouds, thousands of feet in the air, Su Mu suddenly materialized out of nowhere.
He hovered in the sky, coughing up a mouthful of blood. Within his physical vessel, the Reverse Cursed Technique was running in overdrive, rapidly repairing the severe internal tearing of his muscles and organs. He wiped his mouth, sighing helplessly.
"Even with Level 3 Blue, chain-casting teleportation is still too taxing..."
By compressing the spatial coordinates between his starting point and his destination to "negative infinity," the immense gravitational pull of Blue allowed him to effectively instantly teleport. However, the sheer physical stress this spatial distortion placed on his body was catastrophic. Even with Level 3 Energy Absorption reinforcing his cells, rapid consecutive jumps physically tore him apart from the inside out.
"It looks like I'll have to wait until either Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue or Energy Absorption reaches Level 4 before I can spam teleportation without consequence."
Just yesterday, after relentlessly practicing with minimal energy output, his core spatial technique had finally crossed the threshold.
[System Notification: Congratulations, Skill 'Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue' has leveled up!]
[Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue Lv.3 (1/1000): Generates a powerful gravitational pull. Can compress the distance between multiple targets to 'negative infinity' to achieve teleportation, or generate a highly destructive localized black hole.]
The moment it leveled up, the advanced application of Blue had branded itself into his mind.
And so, just moments ago, he had taken a single step in Malibu and instantly crossed dozens of miles of space!
