Chapter 14 - New home

Chapter 14

*The Arrival at Yeonhui-dong**

The taxi climbed the winding, tree-lined streets of Seodaemun-gu until the engine began to slow. Outside the window, the bustling noise of central Seoul had faded into the quiet, prestigious hum of an elite neighborhood.

"We are here," the driver announced, checking the silver card one last time before pulling to the curb.

The car came to a halt directly in front of a **semi-detached house**. It was exactly as Lucy remembered—the crisp **white and sunny yellow walls** stood out against the deep green of the manicured hedges. A private garage was tucked to the side, and the large entrance door looked sturdy and welcoming.

Seo Joon was the first to press his face against the window, his eyes wider than ever. "Wait... this whole place? You live here?"

"It's home," Lucy whispered, feeling a strange mix of relief and nervousness.

The driver hopped out to open the boot, and the sound of the luggage hitting the pavement echoed in the quiet street. Kim Jo stepped out of the car, his gaze sweeping from the top of the roof down to Lucy. He didn't say a word, but the way he adjusted his jacket told her he was impressed.

Lucy reached into her bag for her keys and opened the door and walked in before stepping aside for the boys to come in.

Seo Joon was the first to dash in squealing excited before the others.

" Your house is beautiful"

Lee Dae said to Lucy and Lucy smiled in response.

" You guys can have a sit. Let me get you something to drink." She said and rushed out from the living room to the kitchen.

"Such a sweet soul. Dude, you own me 2 billion dollars for finding such a wonderful lady for you as a bride". Lee Dae said to Kim Jo and gave him a little smile.

Lucy returned carrying a silver tray with three chilled glasses of orange juice. She dropped it in the stool in front of them and they took it smiling.

" Thank you". Kim Jo said to Lucy and she smiled in response.

Lucy sat in a sofa opposite them, loosing her hair and letting them fall all over her face giving her this beautiful look.

Kim Jo was carried away by her beauty only by staring at her.

" Now that we have settled down, let us introduce ourselves better. I am Lucy. How about you?" She asked playing with her hair.

" My name is Ji-Wun. Han Ji-Wun."

Kim Jo introduced his self first smiling at Lucy. Lucy nodded in acknowledgement and turned to Lee Dae and Seo Joon.

" Oh. I am Ji-woong and he is seo-hyun. We are brothers. Our family name is Han."

Lee Dae introduced himself and Seo Joon.

" Although I heard you called your names but I can't pronounce them or even if I can pronounce them now I can't promise you guys that I will pronounce them correctly later. So I shall call you by another name that I can remember and call you easily." Lucy said still playing with her hair.

" Okay." Lee Dae said to Lucy. " Call us any name you prefer ".

" Mmmmm....how about I call you Jimmy? It's close to your name." Lucy said to Kim Jo and Kim Jo smiled in acknowledgement. Seeing Kim Jo didn't object to the name she continues" and you are sunny and you are June."

" Why is my name shortened?" Lee Dae asked looking displeased and Seo Joon chuckled. Lucy smiled at him and said.

" It's a perfect match for you. June and July are the middle set in the year."

" Thank you. I like the name " Kim Jo said to Lucy stopping any other unnecessary words Lee Dae might bring up to make him jealous.

" What do you like doing?" Lucy asked as her gaze fell on the untouched glasses of orange juice " aren't you guys drinking?" She asked looking offended and the boys quickly picked up their glasses and drank from it.

" I like singing and making music. I have dreamt of becoming a famous music Idol." Kim Jo said as empty the orange juice from the glass and dropped it on the tray.

Lucy eyes litted.

" I can sing and dance." Lee Dae added and Seo wasn't left out.

" I do all of them!".

Lucy giggled.

" I like that. I can also sing too. I can also compose lyrics. I would love to show you my talent now but it's already 10 O'clock. It's sleeping time. Let me show you to your room so you can retire for the day. We can talk tomorrow." Lucy said as she stood up from the sofa and started walking towards the stairs. The boys followed immediately rolling their suitcases along with them.

When they got to the top floor Lucy led them to the end and opened a brown wooden door. Inside was a big and wide room enough to contain five people.

There were three beds at the three corner of the wall with each wardrobe and it's restroom and bathroom. The boys entered the room smiling. Seo Joon quickly ran to take a side.

" I have to go now. See you tomorrow morning " Lucy said to them and without waiting for their response she closed the door and walked away quickly to her room which was at the other side.

The click of the door echoing in the hallway signaled the end of a long, surreal journey, but for the boys inside the room, the night was far from over.

The silence of the hallway was replaced by the muffled thuds of suitcases being hauled onto the plush carpet. The room was bathed in the soft, amber glow of recessed lighting, highlighting the sheer scale of the space. It wasn't just a guest room; it was a sanctuary. The three beds were topped with crisp white linens and heavy, navy blue duvets that looked like they belonged in a five-star hotel.

"Did we just hit the jackpot?" Sunny—formerly Seo Joon—whispered, running his hand over the polished mahogany of his personal wardrobe. He opened it to find the faint scent of cedar and a stack of fresh, fluffy towels. "I was expecting a mattress on the floor, not a palace."

June, meanwhile, had already claimed the bed nearest the window. He flopped onto the mattress, bouncing slightly. "She's nice," he said, his voice slightly muffled by the pillow. "And she didn't even flinch when we told her we wanted to be idols. Most people just laugh or tell us to get real jobs."

Jimmy—the name still felt strange to Ji-Wun, yet oddly intimate coming from her—didn't sit down. He walked to the large window that overlooked the quiet streets of Yeonhui-dong. From this vantage point, he could see the silhouettes of cherry blossom trees swaying in the midnight breeze. The neighborhood felt like a different world compared to the cramped, noisy alleys of the district they had left behind.

"She's more than nice," Jimmy said softly, his reflection in the glass looking tired but focused. "She's the first person who looked at us and didn't see three boys with nothing. She saw Jimmy, Sunny, and June."

" So this is our new home. Jimmy, can I sleep with you tonight?" Seo Joon asked giving him his cute puppy face. But instead of replying Kim Jo took a pillow and threw it at him frowning.

" You are not allowed to call me that except her"

" Hm?!!"

The two boys exclaimed in shock
