Chapter 13
Lucy looked stunned.
"Wow" she whispered to herself.
" Never knew every disappointment is a blessing" she muttered to herself and giggled.
Turning to the nurse she gave her a sweet smile.
" He is my boyfriend".
The nurse couldn't hide her smile as she exclaimed " you're a lucky girl! He is so handsome."
The nurse said and walked away from her to attend to the other patient.
The moment she left Lucy and Kim Jo stared at each other. Silence stretching and everything feels too overwhelming for them.
" Thank you. For saving me" Lucy said to Kim Jo as the silence was stretching too long for her to handle. Kim Jo smiled and slowly sat beside her, staring at her face.
" So,we are.....in a relationship now?"
Kim Jo asked. If heartbeat could be loud to human ears Lucy would have heard Kim heartbeat racing.
Lucy only smiled in return.
" Are you alright?" Kim Jo asked suddenly looking worried when he recalled the doctor words.
" I am fine. At least for now" she replied as she began to play with her fingers, looking looking down at her hands.
Just then, Lee Dae and Seo Joon walked in with their suitcases and spotted them at the middle of the ward.
They quickly approached them smiling.
" Miss Lucy! How are you doing now? Are you okay?"
Seo Joon asked before he could get close. They surrounded her asking questions and acting like her big brothers earning jealous looks from lonely patients.
Lucy smiled as she raised her head to stare at her saviors.
They are all handsome. Too handsome.
" Thanks for saving me. I don't want to imagine what would have happened if you guys didn't show up." She said, tears pooled in her eyes.
Seo Joon pulled her for a hug and Kim Jo suddenly frowned. Lee Dae notice and chuckled.
" It's okay. You are safe now."
Kim Jo said as he pulled her from Seo Joon and pat her hair, casting a deadly glare at Seo Joon.
While engaged in hugging Kim Jo Lucy saw their suitcases and pulled back, curious.
"Were you guys traveling?" She asked. Her expression changing from hope to disappointment.
Lee Dae took the chance to act.
Giving her the most innocent helpless look,he said to her.
" Actually,we were chased from our house by our relatives. "
" Huh?"
Lucy looked shocked and started to feel sorry for them but that only boosted Lee Dae acting.
" We re homeless people.we only have our clothes with us. Little amount of money we saved but it won't be enough to rent a house and buy food stuffs. We were just roaming around to find a place to rest our head for the night when we heard your screaming....and save you." Lee Dae said and gave Lucy a little smile.
Lucy turned her gaze from Lee Dae to Kim Jo and Seo Joon who have also played along with their pitiful face .
Lucy thought for a while.
Her saviors are homeless.
Her saviors were homeless because of her.
If not because of her,she wouldn't have survived what would have happened.
So she made a decision that would change her life from that day.
She gazed at them till she locked eyes with Kim Jo who has remained silence since the others started talking and smiled.
"I can help you." She said smiling.
The three boys stared at her as if they just misheard her.
"Hm?"
They all hummed t once.
Lucy giggled seeing their face expression. "They are so handsome!" Her inner voice screamed.
" I mean,you can all stay with me. I have a vacate room for you guys. A big one that you three can share. You don't need to worry about food or anything. My parents are in a three months business trip with their boss so....." She shrugs slowly licking her bottom lip and letting her brown eyes sparkle.
" For real?" Seo Joon asked in shock.
" I mean, are you serious about this?"
He asked again and Lucy only nodded.
Seo Joon being Seo Joon, pulled her for a hug and Lee Dae joined in hugging her.
Meanwhile Kim Jo was still trying to process Lucy agreement to let them stay in her house.
" Girls like this still exist?" Kim Jo thought as he continues to stare at Lucy, speechless.
" So,what did the doctor say?"
Kim Jo asked breaking the excited atmosphere with his question. Or let's say,a question to tell his friends to back off!.
"Oh. Yes. The doctor." Lee Dae said as he pulled back. " He said Lucy is fine and can be discharged but she needs to be protected from whoever triggered her emotions. She is emotional fragile so she needs asses love and protection".
" Hm?"
Lucy hummed with her eyes wide open and chuckled.
" Oh...Kay...so....? Can we go home now?"
Lucy asked.
Seo Joon squealed like a child who just received a surprised gift from his mother making Lucy giggled.
Kim Jo helped Lucy from the bed and they started walking out from the ward when she remembered something.
" The bill-"
" Has been paid " Lee Dae said to her and she only smiled more.
" Thank you guys.. again "
" You are very well welcome miss Lucy." Seo Joon said to her and Lucy could only asked the only question bothering her.
" Is he the last born?" She asked wanting to rest her curiosity.
" Yes. He can't hide it,can he?" Kim Jo asked glaring at Seo Joon for having too much attention and Seo Joon smirked.
" He can't.".
Lee Dae said and sighed.
The moment they got out from the hospital building, Seo Joon hurry to the road side and stop a taxi.
" Home address?"
The driver asked and Seo Joon turned to Lucy for answer.
Lucy fumbled with her handbag her face heating up as she felt the three pairs of handsome eyes on her. She couldn't remember the complex Korean name of Street so she pulled out a silver card and showed it to the driver. The driver seeing it nodded in approval and Seo Joon squealed again in excitement.
Lee Dae and Seo Joon put the bags in the taxi boot while Kim Jo helped Lucy into the taxi.
As the driver started the engine Kim Jo sighed.
"This is a new beginning ".
He said as he glanced at Lucy.
