Chapter 6 A Scholar Separated for Three Days! Victory Over Sieg!

"What? Wieger is going to challenge the Chef Pirates?"

Old John frowned and paced back and forth.

Lister leaned forward and asked, "The Chef Pirates? How strong are they?"

"The Chef Pirates are the strongest pirate crew in the East Blue. Their captain, Zeff, has a bounty of 20 million Berries and possesses superb leg skills. He is a great pirate who fights with only his legs. His shoes are stained red with the blood of his enemies, hence the name Red Legs! The current Giant Axe Pirates are definitely not a match for them!" Old John shook his head.

"But the captain has already made his decision," Lister shrugged.

Old John sighed. Wiegand's smooth sailing in the East China Sea over the past year had given him courage and illusions!

They've gotten carried away!

"Perhaps it's a good thing for Wiegand to face reality."

Old John glanced at Lister and said, "You don't need to participate in this battle."

"You can't protect me forever, old man," Lister said.

Old John hesitated. In the past six months, Lister's progress had rekindled the flames of hatred that had been extinguished in him. He had already staked everything on Lister, even going so far as to teach him official secret techniques like the Six Styles of the Navy. Therefore, he did not want to see the tree, which had not yet grown, break halfway. But as Lister said, he could not protect Lister for a lifetime.

Lister, not wanting to miss the opportunity for real combat, rolled his eyes and said, "Don't forget, I'm the head chef, I don't need to participate in direct combat."

Old John eventually took Lister with him and returned to the Bloodaxe.

After a hearty lunch, the Bloodaxe set sail with its sails fully open.

On the deck, groups of pirates idly chatted, cleaned their weapons, or rested with their eyes closed.

"Sig, do you remember what I said six months ago?" Lister walked up to the burly Sig and beckoned to him.

Sieg lowered his gun, stood up, and said, "Come on, kid, let me see what you've done on the island. I told you, I'll win again!"

The pirates on deck started to jeer. Bosun Hansen appeared out of nowhere and shouted for the pirates to place their bets. Once his barrel was full of Berries, he walked over to Lister and hooked his arm around his shoulder.

"Lister, I bet you 20,000 Berries, give him a good beating!"

Sieg cracked his knuckles as he paced back and forth with a confident smile, saying, "Kid, are you ready? If I hurt you, don't come crying to your mother!"

Lister beckoned and said, "Sig, is all you can do is spout nonsense?"

Sieg spat, his tall body suddenly moving forward, followed by a massive iron fist, the force of which whistled through the air.

The fist grew larger and larger in front of Lister. Just as Sieg wondered if Lister had been scared out of his wits and whether he should hold back some of his strength, Lister swayed to the side like a piece of paper blown by the wind, nimbly avoiding Sieg's fist.

"Paper drawing!"

"Iron block" involves filling the body with strength, making it as hard and heavy as steel, while "paper drawing" involves releasing all the strength and controlling the body as easily and freely as drawing on paper by changing the airflow generated by the opponent's movements.

Two completely opposite techniques for controlling body strength.

How did Lister manage to dodge his own powerful punch?

Sieg was surprised, but said, "Not bad, kid. Now I'm going to get serious."

Sieg's gaze sharpened, and a fierce aura rose from his body as he unleashed a series of powerful punches, leaving only a blur of fist shadows in the air.

"Iron Block - Parry!"

Lister assumed a horse stance, crossed his arms in front of him, and stood firm as Sieg's heavy punches rained down on him. His body remained as steadfast as a deeply rooted tree.

Beside the helm, old John occasionally glanced at the battle on deck. With his sharp eyes, he could tell that it wouldn't be difficult for Lister to win.

Sieg's attack, though seemingly fierce, posed no threat to Lister and instead wasted his own energy.

"Alas, it's a pity the old man only knows how to draw on iron blocks and paper."

Frustrated by the beating, Lister sensed that Sieg's attack frequency had decreased and heard his slightly rapid breathing. Lister knew his chance had come. He deactivated "Iron Block," leaped backward, and used "Paper Drawing" to dodge seven or eight punches. He pushed off the ground, and his retreating body suddenly lurched forward, crashing into Sieg's arms. Under Sieg's panicked gaze, a fist struck him squarely in the abdomen.

Bang!

After a deep, loud bang, the towering Sigurd flew backward three meters like a hunched shrimp, where he was caught by seven or eight pirates.

"Heavy Punch" Sigurd is the fourth most powerful figure in the Giant Axe Pirates, after Captain Wiggel, First Mate John, and Boatswain Hansen. How could he have been defeated?

The Blood Axe fell silent for a moment, followed by cheers of winning and curses of losing.

Sieg stood up, rubbing his stomach, walked over to Lister, glared at him fiercely, then raised his right hand and shouted "Lister!"

"A man's heart should be as broad as the ocean," Sieg said loudly, patting his chest.

Sieg's actions silenced the pirates who were cursing him, and they then joined him in shouting "Lister!"

Finally, Sieg looked at Lister and said, "I'll be the winner next time!"

"No, I'm still the winner!"

Liszt and Sieg exchanged glances and then burst into laughter.

The competition on deck was just a side event, adding some fun to the otherwise boring seafaring life.

Lister successfully integrated into the Blood Axe pirate crew.

In the ship's galley, Lister, Charles, and Coleman were preparing dinner, enough for sixty people.

In six months, Lister became stronger, and the Blood Axe grew larger.

Wiegand replaced his warships and recruited new crew members, his goal remaining the Grand Line.

"Head Chef, the captain asked me to ask if dinner is ready?" A young pirate stood outside the kitchen, peeking out.

He was tall and thin, with light purple hair, a rectangular face, and thick lips.

"Hey, Klee, you brat, come in and help!" Coleman, who was near the door, walked over, put his arm around the young man's neck, and pulled him inside.

Lister finished slicing the bacon, glanced at it, and asked, "Who is he?"

"While you were away, one of the young crew members the captain recruited, Klick, don't underestimate him, he's very capable!" Charles stirred the soup.

"Head Chef!" Krick immediately stood at attention and saluted.

Coleman explained, "He used to be a thief, and when we met him, he was being chased by the Navy. The captain thought highly of him and has been keeping him with him ever since!"

Lister patted Kleek on the shoulder and said, "You'll definitely be a great pirate who's famous throughout the East China Sea!"

Klick just kept grinning foolishly, seemingly unable to understand what Liszt was saying.

Two days after Bloodaxe set sail, it finally located the George Chef. The lookout rang the bell to observe the enemy ship's movements and reported to the helmsman.

Wiegard stepped out of the captain's cabin, carrying a giant axe as tall as himself, standing imposingly and shouting loudly.

The usually lazy pirates each performed their duties: the sailors controlled the sails, the gunners took their positions, those holding muskets loaded ammunition, and those holding swords polished their blades...

A great battle that will determine the survival of two pirate crews is about to break out!
