Now Vedangini decided—while managing the affairs of the state, she would go for walks in the forest and visit the seashore. The waves of the ocean and the silence of the forest gave her a unique kind of joy. She would even meditate in the forest. She was very happy. Every day, she thanked God; whatever she had, she called it 'enough.' Despite having an entire kingdom and immense wealth, she had no pride.
By now, she spoke very little. She knew that beyond words, there is a conversation that happens in silence. She had begun to love the experience of stillness. She had reached a very high level in spirituality, but she had still not fulfilled her decision to 'meet the Master.'
A different kind of spark had appeared in her eyes. The spiritual peace was now visible on her face. She was not just beautiful on the outside but had become deeply enriched from within. Her inner beauty began to radiate outward. She had become very calm, yet equally powerful. She knew that God had chosen her for a great mission. She wanted to learn a lot and teach the same to others. She also knew that God would surely help her in this.
She no longer liked violence or anything of that sort. Even though the entire administration of the kingdom was under her, she never thought, "What if the kingdom is attacked?" because she knew it wouldn't happen. She was on a different path, and it was her faith that God would not allow an attitude like violence to cross her path.
One day, she said to her father, "Father, please let me meet those Masters at least once. I want to go there; I truly want to learn. You cannot stop me because I cannot run away from what I am meant to do. I really want to do things that no one has been able to do until today. If I do this, just imagine—this world could change! Yes, my work is a bit different, but God has given it to me, hasn't He? I have to do it. If I don't do it today, who else will? Please, let me go to the Guru just once."
Seeing the innocence in her eyes and the calmness in her speech, her father said, "Fine, I grant you permission now. You may go."
Her joy knew no bounds. She was ecstatic. She asked, "When should I leave? Should I go right now?"
Her father smiled and said, "Oh, go tomorrow. I will send you with some soldiers tomorrow."
She said, "No, no! I don't want to go there as a 'Princess,' but as a 'Disciple.' Therefore, I will go alone."
The King said, "Don't do that. You are a princess; anything could happen to you."
She replied, "I will not tell anyone anything about myself..."
