The children were playing in the garden when Savvy came out with a
cake and Vanessa asked "Auntie, what's the cake for?" she smiled and
said. "Sweetie, it Grandma's birthday today". Kim came out while
saying "That means Grandma turns 60 years today?". "Yes baby" Adele
too said coming out. Vanessa looked at them with a confused look and
asked. "What are you talking about?" she was ignored, just then Kevin
arrived. "Hi Daddy!" Ivy exclaimed as she ran to hug him.
Mavis came out and they began the celebration. Adele made a video
call to Joshua since he was out of the country. Everyone rushed to talk
to him when Vanessa left for the room. When she got to the dinning
table, she found some sweets on it and stole some into her dress.
Unfortunately, Kim and Ivy saw her putting the sweets in her dress but
Savvy was also walking to their direction which made them quickly hid
her in a cupboard in the kitchen storeroom. "Girls, have you seen
Nessa?" Savvy asked, they shook their head negatively. Savvy: "Oh God,
which of you ate the sweets" they started to shiver but said nothing.
Savvy told the elders and they began looking for her. They tried for
several hours but couldn't find her. Adele began to cry and that was
when they opened up about what they did. Ivy: "Mummy, I think Ness
is still in the cupboard where we hid her". Ivy muttered while sweating
profusely. "Which cupboard?" Savvy asked impatiently. Kim: "The one
in the kitchen storeroom" while shivering. She was now realizing the
intensity of their action. She looked amusingly at them and ran quickly
to check and 'Lo and behold', Vanessa was found there but
unconscious. She screamed out of fear which drew everyone's
attention to come around. Kevin and Adele rushed her to the hospital
while Mavis and Savvy took care of the other two. Mavis: "I'm so
disappointed in you" she said to Kim and left to her room. Savvy later
bathed them and put them to bed.
Joshua came back a day after the incident. Everything was calm now
and Vanessa was discharged from the hospital. They were having a chat
when Joshua exclaimed. "Adele, to the room now!" Everyone looked at
him in dismay at his sudden outburst. Adele was the most confused as
she followed him.
Adele mistakenly left the door ajar. "What have you been teaching your
daughter? If this continues, she will go to live with her nanny in the
states" Joshua threatens. "How can such a young girl live without her
family?" Adele asked timidly. He angrily raised his hand to hit her which
got her more shocked but he stopped himself and furiously stormed
out of the room. She just sat on the floor crying. Kim happened to have
witnessed all this, and she ran to her room crying. Vanessa and Ivy
realizing this followed her as they saw how pained she was. With much
persuasion, she told them everything and Nessa got extremely angry.
She found her mom crying so left to confront her dad in the study.
Joshua was busy on his laptop, when he heard a bang at the door.
Joshua: "Yes, who is it?" Vanessa: "It Nessa, I want you to go apologize
to mom or I will do something crazy". Knowing how hotheaded his
daughter could be, he agreed. He ordered for a necklace online.
Minutes later, Joshua gave Adele a gift the moment he entered. He
wasn't surprised when he saw her in the position he had left her. He
knew he had a timid wife. Adele: "What's this?" he replied "It an
apology gift. I'm sorry for what happen earlier" she hugged him and
Kim together with Vanessa came to join them. Joshua carried Kim in his
arms and said "My naive 15 years daughter ". "You girls are our pride.
Such a smart kid at 13" Adele added as she bent down to kiss Nessa's head.
