Chapter 33 - Ch 33: Red lanterns

Leon didn't waste any time. The very next day, the entire Deskmore mansion was all set for their wedding. Red lanterns glowed along the corridors and fresh flowers adorned every corner. The entire place was all set for their wedding.

The dresses were chosen overnight. Ornaments delivered before midnight; still every detail was arranged with precision.

Nothing left to chance.

Other than his family, James Finn and his parents were also invited making a total of 9 members.

"I never break my promise nor my calculations." He felt proud of himself.

"Finally it happened..." Finn arrived while James was with him the entire night busy with the preparations.

Leon turned slightly.

"Yes…" he said, a quiet satisfaction in his tone. A faint flush rested on his cheeks.

"Are you sure about this?"

Leon didn't answer immediately.

"This ceremony…" he began slowly, his gaze drifting for a second before settling again, "will give her a sense of security."

A pause.

"Of course, I'm not satisfied," he added, almost casually. "When she's ready… when she wants it… I'll give her the wedding she truly deserves."

"And is she ready for this ceremony?"

Leon let out a quiet breath, then nodded.

"When I went to wake her this morning… she was shocked." A faint smile tugged at his lips. "Completely stunned."

A brief pause.

"But I convinced her."

There was pride in his voice.

The time had come.

The groom stood at the altar, waiting for his bride.

She appeared.

Draped in a stunning fiery red dress, her figure glowing under the soft lights, her face hidden behind a delicate veil.

For a moment, everything else faded before Leon.

Only she remained.

Leon didn't wait. He rushed towards her and without hesitation, he reached for her hand and held it firmly.

His grip tightened.

Warm.

He led her to the altar.

The vows were spoken. His gaze never left her, as if he is memorizing every second, sealing it into something permanent.

He took her hand gently this time—almost reverently.

He slid the ring onto her finger slowly, deliberately.

Then, lowering his head, he pressed a soft kiss against her hand.
