Now where did those two punks head off to, this is one big forest to be playing around, the smallest mistake being getting lost is something l want to avoid as much as possible. I heard monsters inhabited around forests so much, the chances of running into one are low in this village but never zero.
That is another thing l want to avoid, l'm not ready to fight monsters yet, l'll instantly get killed.
"Blake! Iris! Where the hell did you both run off to?"
Now that l think about it, this forest has quite the calm. The greenery, variety of insects, and plant life. It's beautiful with its uniqueness, even the air has taste to it, smells sort of grassy. The trees themselves were so big it looked unnatural, they even had a strange shape of...
"A square?"
Am l in some sort of game, this forest is just bizarre.
"My body, it feels calm." I whispered in shock.
Since l'm inside a forest, l can feel a natural flow of divine energy, as l said before, places with large plantation produces larger energy. Excluding the forest, this whole village was covered in green. Makes sense how my energy restores faster, although l've never stepped out of the village.
There's a lot l want to learn about this world, like everything. That's being greedy now. But l got to satisfy my unsatisfied brain, think of it as a priority.
As l kept walking, l caught Blake hiding behind a tree, dude was terrified. That bully Iris should stop her shenanigans, how will the little boy talk to girls in the future? Honestly.
I came up close to him, he seems to have noticed my arrival, but the second he did, Blake dashed away. It was getting pretty strange, he wasn't afraid of being next to me, something really deep happened. Blake wasn't a fast runner, l easily caught up to him and gripped his hand. Slowly, he begun screaming and punched my face.
Luckily, the punch didn't go full force otherwise l would've been narrating in heaven.
"Blake, calm down! It's me, Arthur." I cried out moving back and fourth, "my you got monstrous strength at your age."
"Monster!?" Blake yelled with a stiff expression, his eyes slowly widening till he burst in tears.
"You cannot be serious, these are the people l'm going to get stuck with the rest of my life? I asked, rapidly hitting Blake with a stick.
"Whawww! Ahhhh! I don't wanna die, please!"
"This conversation isn't going anywhere, could you snap out? I'm getting sick and tired of your ruckus."
"I..l..l l'm SORRY!"
I think l might be going insane right now, at his big age screaming like his candy was taken away is absurd, my mind can't handle it, okay. Honestly, since l've successfully captured the noise polluter, where could the bully have gone too...
Iub-dub.
I felt my heart beat go crazy. Why is Iris running this way looking all terrified and screaming? This must be a prank, right? No, seriously, something was chasing her. A big, hairy looking creature with four eyes was chasing after Iris, doesn't that mean it's also coming after...
"MONSTER!" Blake blunt out.
"You're right, now we run."
This was the most realistic approach, this monster might tear us apart, not only that, it was catching up. It was even holding what it seems to be a large bone, how'd it obtain that? Don't wanna know.
"Wha-"
Before we could escape, it leaped over and appeared in front of us drooling with a fierce eyes. It was over.
My body was trembling, my teeth were chattering, l couldn't even attack, l didn't have my practise sword. It took a single step and the ground rumbled. Iris and Blake cried their lungs out, even l felt like crying. This wasn't a tongue slip.
"Grrrrrrr!"
"Ignite!"
At that moment, the monster was engulfed in flames. Screaming in pain running around the forest, l could see it suffer. The plants around begun catching the flame, until the flames waved a different direction.
"Sorry l'm late, it was unfortunate that a monster ambushed you guys." Ken declared as the flames were dancing around his palm. "Extinguish!"
The monster burnt even more till it turned to nothingness.
"How'd you do that... Ken?"
"Right. I never told you about my gift: Burning Sun."
