Chapter 13 - Chapter 12: The terrible trio

I turned five now. It's been a while since l've been honing my skills at swordplay alongside Ken as my master, my skills skyrocketed than usual, flowing flower technique officially became my very own ability.

For more than six months, Adam (my Father) hadn't return home in a while, l honestly don't know where he went, but he should return sooner or later because Aisha ( my Mother) was feeling lonely. Whatever his disappearance may be, even if it's work related ( l don't know his job) notifying your family about your disappearance should be a priority.

Anyway, my days would always be dumped with two annoying folks including Ken, they were the loud House, but training alongside them wasn't bad.

*****

There were two new students that joined up in training, apparently, Ken had been secretly training them after his session with me was over. They were quite talented in controlling divine energy, even their combat skills were out of the roof.

Though, they weren't swordsman or swords women, they mostly used their gifts.

One of them received their gifts much earlier before turning seven, they were the same age as me. The boy, who's name was Blake, had been blessed with the gift to manipulate the ground. It was a elemental power based gift, not only was he good at combat but his strength was off the chart. His gift allowed him to grow a stronger build, he was a mini body builder.

His personality also annoyed me, he was always sacred, even at calm situation. He was the sort of introvert forced out of home to hang out with a bunch of extroverts. He always sticked by my side like l was just as him, which l wasn't.

Then came the hyper-active girl, her name was Iris. She wielded a weapon, which wasn't a sword but a bow and arrow. Her aim was like a top archer, she had a better vision, having the ability to aim from a range of eighty metres. It wasn't out of gifts, but she purely used her raw strength.

She'd use divine energy only at fast projectile shots. Her control in energy was even better than Kens'.

We all officially became a team in training, working side by side assisting each other on our strengths and weakness. Ken was helping me with the usual sword training, assisting in maintaining my technique. Iris helped me control divine energy more efficiently, her advice would go like, "spill out and take a jar." Honestly, her advice would piss me off like she was trying to gatekeep. Blake on the other, was comfortable in sparing with me- well no. I need to force the confidence out of him to train me.

Overall, our training was just pure chaos.

I was busking by the sun when l heard footsteps approaching my direction, it sounded like two people, l turned around to witness two polony watching me. Though, Blake was hiding behind Iris with a frightened expression. As always, Iris let out a villainous grin.

"What do you guys want?" I asked, with an annoyed voice.

"Don't ask the all great Iris what she wants! Woman must have freedom of speech!" She announced loudly, her gaze meeting my own.

"When did this turn to gender wars? Tryna' play the victim now?"

And of course she had to flip the topic around, what's the problem with females trying to act like victims at tensed situations. Yes, my situation was tense. Iris face turned a shade of red, tears were about to burst out.

"Now, why are you crying? I didn't even scold or hit you. Is this your way of playing the bad guy, because it won't work with me."

"Humph. It's not like l'm angry or something, why would l. It's childish behaviour of my age." She responded turning her face away.

"I'm getting tired of this short conversation. Plus, what's with the naive attitude, acting like l'm worried about you being furious."

"Now you asked for it! Blake, crush our fellow member." She commanded pointing her fingers directly at me.

Blake was confused at this heat of arguement, he was panicking, sweating from head to toe. He was speechless that he let out a scream, "Ahhhh!" Then ran around the training room rambling like a little kid with tantrums.

"Gosh, this team won't go anywhere with this type of behaviour. It's all your fault Iris."

"Huhhh! You putting the blame on me? Get a job you lazy bum."

"You've to be kidding me. Using the word 'job' as means to escape your meaningless problem. Now that l look it, you sure act quite manly even though being a girl."

"What!?"

Now l'm beginning to sound childish and immature, l'm not the type to be saying hurtful stuff especially to children. Did l lie about that part? But, l'm also the same age as there are, mentally forty. Anyway, Iris was yappin' nonsense after nonsense, that attitude ruins her beauty.

Did l actually call her beautiful? Tongue slip, as usual.

"Look, l'm sorry Iris. It was a rude of me to say such stuff. Let's call it a truce?" I pleaded a peace treaty between the two of us, stretching out my hand for a handshake.

"No problem!" She replied letting out a wide, sarcastic looking smile, ready to shake my hands.

"Now that's it," l muttered, " Ahhhh!"

I should have thought, this girl wouldn't agree to a peace treaty that easy. As l shaked her hand, l felt pain running through my arms, it felt like ants were eating my arm. I quickly let go of my hand only to see it turn purple, poison? I couldn't confirm, but, it was brimming with intense pain.

Iris just burst out laughing as she fell on the ground, rolling around like she accomplished a joke. Her laughs got to me, while Blake's scream continued annoying me.

The pain stopped, but, my anger didn't vanish just like that. I need my revenge, l need to make Iris pay.

"Hahahaha! You should've seen your face go like "Ahhhh!" Ahahaha! I can't stop laughing!" Iris cried out.

I raised my wooden sword. Channelling just enough divine energy. Only about twenty percent of the energy circulated around the sword. Pulling my sword backwards. Readying myself for a strike.

Iris stopped laughing as she scrunched her face. Trying to run away, her legs wobbling around.

I sent a heavy swing.

Iris body then propelled away with the wind. I could hear her whining and screaming.

"The sword didn't break this time. Did l maintain my control accurately? Yipe! Cheers to us."

"Arthur! Why'd you use air slash directly at your team mate?" Ken came out yelling, putting his hands on his head feeling speechless.

"That's a pickle! I'll get her."

That's what she deserves after disrespecting my peace treaty like a grow

n man. I didn't regret doing that in the slightest.

"Ahhhh!"

"Shut up, Blake!"
