Chapter 1 - The Reason

Ren Kisaragi, a quiet high school student, sat silently in his classroom, staring at his desk as laughter echoed around him.

Today had been the worst.

He had been bullied again—mocked, humiliated… even by the girl he once admired. Her laughter still rang in his ears, sharper than anything else. Ren clenched his fists, forcing himself to stay calm, but deep inside, something was breaking.

Then suddenly—

Everything went dark.

A blinding light swallowed the classroom, and in an instant, the world around them changed.

When Ren opened his eyes, he found himself standing in a vast, unfamiliar hall. The entire class was there, panic spreading like wildfire.

"Where are we?!"

"What is this place?!"

Before anyone could understand what was happening, a woman in white robes appeared before them—a priestess.

"You have all been summoned," she said calmly, her voice echoing across the hall. "Heroes from another world."

The class fell silent.

Ignoring their questions, the priestess began explaining.

A Demon King had risen in her world, threatening to destroy everything. And they—the summoned students—were chosen as heroes to defeat him.

Then came the system.

Each of them possessed abilities, powers that could grow stronger through leveling up. And each student would receive a unique skill.

One by one, they stepped forward, placing their hands on a glowing white orb used to determine their abilities.

The first was the most popular boy in school—Rio Hiora.

The orb shone brightly.

"S-Tier Ability: Explosion."

Gasps filled the hall.

Next came Hana Kaigaru, the school's beauty.

"A-Tier Ability: Precise Arrow."

Excitement grew. One after another, students received powerful abilities—B-Tier, A-Tier… even another S-Tier.

Then—

"Ren Kisaragi."

All eyes turned toward him.

Ren stepped forward slowly and placed his hand on the orb.

The light flickered weakly.

"…Unranked Ability: Storage."

Silence.

Then laughter.

The priestess looked at him with clear disgust.

Ren hesitated. "W-What does that mean…?"

She didn't answer.

Instead, she turned away.

"Everyone will now be transported to the kingdom," she announced. "You will be trained to master your powers…"

She paused.

"…Except for one."

Her gaze returned to Ren.

"To demonstrate the fate of the weak, this boy will be sent to the Abyss."

Ren's heart stopped.

"No—wait—!"

An overwhelming force crushed him to his knees. He couldn't move.

The class burst into laughter.

Despair consumed him.

Then—

"Stop."

It was Rio.

Ren looked up, hope igniting in his chest.

But it shattered instantly.

"We don't have time to waste on losers," Rio said coldly. "Just proceed with the teleportation."

Hope died.

Completely.

As darkness began to swallow him, Ren's eyes burned with hatred.

"I swear…" he muttered, his voice trembling with rage,

"I'll kill every single one of you."

And then—

Everything went dark.
