She was just about to ask Lucas Lockwood for the ice crystals when she heard an unfamiliar girl's voice.
"Mister, my mom asked me to bring these. Thank you for saving us just now."
She subconsciously turned to look. Although the girl was born in the mountains, she had a spirited look about her and was now gazing at Felix Fields with a face full of adoration.
Felix Fields took the basket without hesitation. "Thanks."
Seeing him accept the items, the girl happily continued, "Mister, you came from down the mountain. What's it like down there now?"
"Zombies everywhere. A living hell."
