*Ruby's POV*

"You're welcome. Ruby please take care of them. I will go out for a while to do something."
"Yes father."
I looked at the large crater and asked to myself, Is this something that humans can do? Not mention that we all have the same age yet they could fight father to this degree. I calmed myself down and invited them to have some food and drinks.
"Yulia and Schoolmate Noir, Since our training for today has been done. How about we have some snacks and drinks?" I invited
"Sure" Yulia replied
"Miss Ruby you could just call me Noir."
"Then just call me Ruby. Is that alright?"
"Okay Ruby."
I lead the way to the garden which is I think a perfect place to rest and eat some food.
"please take a seat. Is there anything that you want to eat or drink?"
"I want the usual tea."
"I'm fine with juice, Thank you."
Yulia answered followed by Noir. I ordered the maids the get some snacks and drinks.
We seated together and followed by silence. Yulia is stoic as ever, Noir is silent and I who is supposed to be the host, didn't know what to say. I don't know how to start a conversation with these two unusual people.
Yulia, this emotionless girl who only answer with yes, no, mhm, is that so? And repeat. On the other hand is her unusual boyfriend who is supposed to be in Gimel class but strong enough to fight my father. Although my father said that he is still lacking in techniques, I can't tell at all. In my opinion no matter what I do, I would get obliterated by any of these two. I envy their power, I no longer care if I'm purple level psychic. Compared to these two my power is really not that special.
"I'm curious about something. Are the two of you really dating?"
"" No we're not dating"" they answered in sync
"Then, why are you so close?"
"Sorry we're not allowed to tell others." Noir answered apologetically.
" Is that so? Then don't worry about it. I'm just a little bit curious."
Anyway even if they are not dating they still have something going on between them. The maids arrived with foods and drinks so we started to eat.
"So since both of you are very strong, are going to participate in the ranking of Kings? You two can fight father so I can never imagine any of you losing especially you Noir."
Ranking of Kings is what the students called to the Espers ranking system in the academy. The 7 students who are in the top of the ranking are unofficially called kings or queens by the students. The top 7 are guaranteed to be the player for the yearly competition of the Eastern Nation Alliance. If these two can join then we can win the championship.
"Nom! Nom! Gulp! I have never thought about it since I was just a normal student before. Now I think about it, I really never thought about what will I do in the future huh!. What about you Yulia?"
"I will"
"Well, if you're going then I will participate too. What about you Ruby?"
"Is there any need to ask? Of course I will, after all I also plan to Join student council. So if I want to become the student council president I will need a lot of fame and support from the students. The ranking of Kings will be a good chance for me to show off."
"Wow!! I never thought that you have a grand ambition. Then if I can get a good ranking, I would be able to support you right?"

"Of course we're friends now right? Not to mention that Yulia doesn't want to bother about those things so it's natural for me as your friend to support you."
I covered my mouth and chuckle
"Hehe! I will thank you in advance."
He really is a good man. It's really rare and refreshing to find man as honest as him. Someone who doesn't think about status and would treat me sincerely. He is someone I can be honest and comfortable with. No wonder Yulia likes him.
"Then how about a bet?" Yulia suddenly asked.
"About what?"
"Whoever get the 1st in the ranking can have a reasonable request to the loser"
There she goes. She really doesn't like losing. The thought of Noir is stronger than her is probably a hurdle for her. No matter how polite and quiet she seems, I know that she's a prideful woman. I was like that, before I was defeated by her many times to the point of doubting myself. She's using this bet even if she doesn't know what to ask to motivate herself. If she wins, she wins and if she lose then she'll accept it.
"Eh? Sure"
Noir answered even without understanding the meaning but that's fine.
We finished eating and exchange numbers before saying good bye to each other. Yulia sent him to his apartment first before going back to her home.
I entered the house and saw my mother holding a fan.
"How was your day my dear?"
"I'm good mom. I made a new friend named Noir so I'm happy. He is kind and really care about his friends."
"That's good my dear but don't fall in love with him alright? He's the son in law of the Rouge family after all."
"Of course not! But that aside, they're really setting them up?"
She covered her mouth with her fan.
"Oops!! Hoho! What are you talking about? I don't know anything about that."
*Sigh!* That fake laugh won't fool anyone mother. These adults is up to something again. Yulia really found a good man isn't she? I really envy her.
I shook my head immediately. What am I talking about? Whatever. The day ended and I'm about to sleep when I started remembering about the past.
I have a busy but loving father and a strict but gentle mother. I love them very much. The maids are always taking care of me. They are praising me every time and giving me candies from time to time. I'm happy when I saw my friends in parties and played together. I'm always at the center of attention, I felt like the world revolves around me. Until I found her at the corner.
She's too beautiful to ignore. She has silver hair and green eyes. She's wearing a beautiful white dress. She's expressionless so I thought she's bored so I approached her with my friends.
"Do you want to play with us?"
She frowned and ignored me then walked away.

That was the first time I was ignored by someone. We met again later with our parents. I was surprised to see who is her father.
"Yo George!" My father enthusiastically greeted and He waved at my father.
"Hello uncle George!"

So her name is Yulia.
"Hello Yulia!"
"Mhm" I was ignored again
"Hahaha! Little Yulia looks like her mother but she acts like you. Don't worry Ruby she's not ignoring you, She's just like that but she's smart and kind. I think you would get along."
"I see."
"By the way George, where's Yasmin?"
"She's pregnant so she can't come."
"Congratulations! that's a good news, I will tell Amelia. She's is not here because as you know she's the only one among us who likes this kind of place."
He fixed his glasses and said
"And our child man friend hasn't married yet. He's really hopeless."
"Hahahaha! Arnold will really throw a tantrum if he heard that. I will bring Amelia and Ruby to your house tomorrow to congratulate her."
"Okay, I will tell her."
We came to their house in the morning. Their house is as big as ours. I asked her mother where she is and she said that she's probably in the library and asked her maid to guide me there.
I followed the maid and found her reading and surrounded by mountain of books. My head ached just watching her. I don't like studying so I can't imagine myself being surrounded by books. She's really smart. I don't want to disturb her so I went back. I watched the adults talking but I'm really bored.
"Have you found Yulia?"
Aunt Yasmin asked
"Yes but she's so busy so I didn't bother her."
"Your daughter is really smart." My mother praised.
"Is that so? Don't worry, you can come next time next time and play with her."
"Thank you"
Aunt Yasmin is really kind.
I did what she told me and come back whenever I have the time. I continuously do that until she becomes my friends. She's not just a friend to me but also an inspiration. I saw how much she worked hard and I was be able to face my fear in studying. She awakened my competitive spirit. I don't want to lose to her but I continued to lose.
I awakened my purple level psychic power and I was so excited. I Immediately come over to her house to show it to her but the result is so embarrassing. I challenge myself to surpass her in anything and I failed.
Did I really awakened purple level psychic power or am I not working hard enough? But I know that she's special. I really envy her.
Uncle George sent an excuse Email for Yulia and a student named Noir, one month after the school year started because they both experienced re- awakening. That news surprised the whole country.
People lost Their interest when they learned that Noir has weak psychic powers. The two people involved doesn't seem to care and I saw in the school forum that they are just having fun on their date.
What!? That Yulia is dating someone. Yulia is prideful not in a bad way but she's just has that much confidence on herself. I tried to introduce her to my friends but it didn't work. She's too indifferent to others and others doesn't know how to approach her. I don't know what kind of man could capture her.
I met him but Yulia hugged his arm despite telling me that they are not dating. I got embarrassed and ran away. I get to know him today and I was astonished because of his strength and kindness. Drowsiness took over me and I fell asleep.
