With a desperately shout, he managed to get away to save the girl before the building fell down.
*THUD! CRASH!!!*
"*Hah! Hah! Hah!*"
He's barely standing, panting and holding a little girl in his hand while his other hand is broken. His body is full of bruise, wounds and his blood is pouring out of it. He gently put down the girl who is still crying.
The masked man started laughing
"Hahaha! Putting your life on the line just to save a little insect? No, A girl? I see! I see! You can never be one of us because you are a rare being among humans, A "HERO!!"))

I was sitting on the sofa and watching Noir's video on Inter Tube. The sound of my heart beat is like a music to my ears as I watched Noir's struggles to save a little girl. I felt that he's so cool but I regretted that I wasn't there to accompany him to his struggles and now he's in coma in the hospital. We are not strong enough.
This video went viral online and Noir's actions got a lot of praise from the netizens. I felt so proud of him.

I couldn't help but to smile after reading the comments. I'm glad that I got reincarnated in a modern world to see this chaos online but it will be a trouble for us. Fortunately my father asked me to take a leave from school until the issue calmed down.
My mother and little sister entered the living room with the teasing smile.

I answered truthfully.

"By the way Yulia, do you want to go to the hospital together to visit Noir. Even though he still unconscious but he doesn't have anyone that would take care of him."
Mom said worriedly.
"Will dad agree?"
I asked
"I already called him earlier and he agreed. He will pick us up in the hospital after his work in the Association has ended."
"Then, Let's go together."
I agreed, to be honest I'm worried too, He's severely injured after all that I don't know if he can still recover.
I shook my head. No, he will, I know he will.
I changed my clothes and left together with my mother and sister.
We arrived at the hospital together and the more I walked towards to Noir's room the louder my heart beat is. Fear come over me, fear that I might lost someone precious to me and I can't even do anything. It's my fault for being weak and can only run away.
I saw him in the ICU and watched him through the window. He is covered in numerous bandages, with multiple tubes connected to his body for blood, nutrition, and artificial respiration. Blood is visible on his bandages and blankets, highlighting that he is leaking fluids and in a constant state of decay. The injuries are beyond the help of conventional medicine or psychic powers, as he sacrificed all his mental strength and magical power to fuel his power.
I couldn't help but to shed tears while touching the window glass.
*Sob*
*Hic!*
A sudden feeling of a "heavy weight" on my chest. I can't breath, it's so painful.
Why is it like this? I finally have someone I can rely on and yet this happened.
What can I do? I don't know.
He was hailed as a hero in the outside but no one can help him. I repeatedly re-watched his bravery to hide my anxiety, I keep reminding my self of the time we had together in the labyrinth. I keep telling to myself that he won't give up no matter what yet losing my mind when I saw him like this. Someone please help him!
I felt the familiar warmth of my mother and sister hugging me.
"Don't worry honey, Everything will be alright."
My mother said solemnly and my sister just stayed beside me without saying anything.
My father, uncle Davis and uncle Arnold came over with a doctor.
"How is he?"
My mother asked the doctor.
"The patient's vital signs are unstable and not within normal limits, his body is deteriorating despite active treatment. We don't know if he can still wake up and even if he can be conscious the treatment will take a long time and he might be crippled."
So there's still hope.
"*sob!* Please do whatever you can!"
I pleaded
"You can rest assured that we will do whatever we can to save him. To be honest with you, it's a pity that he doesn't have relatives now. If there's someone who can talk to him about his past memories it would be a great help for him to stimulate his brain little by little."
It's indeed a pity that I just met him. If I'm with him since from the start I would be able to talk with him for hours, for days even for years. In the first place, would I be able to notice him if we didn't met in the Labyrinth? I don't know. I might be intrigued at first by his powers but that's it.
Now that I think about it, it's somewhat absurd logically but I believe that meeting him in the most unexpected place possible is fate. It was funny to think that when I was dying and has no hope in living yet he appeared and saved me like a hero saving a beauty in wish fulfillment novels. Did I fall for him like a damsel in distress? What a cliché and cringe at the same time. As ridiculous as it is, it indeed happened.
I felt a pat in my head. I looked up and saw uncle Arnold's reassuring smile.
"Don't worry the kid will pulled up another miracle like it was just another day like always."
I nodded, That's true, he can do it. I might not have many memories with him but I can tell him stories. A lot of stories from this world and from earth combined.
"Mom, dad, I want to stay here with Noir."
I said with determination.
My father fixed his glasses and guessed what I was thinking.
"You want to try the doctor's suggestion to tell stories?"
"Yes dad"
"Then let me ask you something. Even if he is crippled will you still go with him?"
Everyone is surprised after they heated his question especially my mother.
"GEORGE! WHAT ARE YOU—"
My mother shouted furiously but I stopped her. I looked straight into his eyes without wavering and answered without hesitation.
"Yes."
I have a gate through the multiverse that has infinite possibilities. As long as I'm strong enough I will be able to find a way to heal him. If I'm not strong enough then I'll train harder and harder.
I just don't know what my father wants. If he wants to separate us then I would have a hard time but that doesn't mean that I will give up.
"Phew! That's the answer I need. Then take care of him."
"Yes I will"
I walked towards to the changing room and change my clothes into hospital clothing. I went to Noir's room and started talking about stories that I remember from my previous world.
"Ehem! There was a 12 year old kid named Joemon. The world he is living is a magical world full of animal like fairies call Astramon. The humans created magic cards based on those Creatures. Spell cards are decided into 4 types of spell cards, the attack spell cards, defensive type spell cards, the support type of spell cards and the traps type of spell cards. They used them to capture Astramon and use the power of bond to have a good relationship with them, the are Called the Fairy masters. Joemon and his friends set a journey to become the greatest Fairy master in the world."
Days passed like that until Noir awaken.
