"Noir's POV."
I woke up in a messy room no, messy would be understatement it was ruined. The windows and door are broken, the walls are full of cracks with the burnt traces. The bed was already burned into ash. Actually it's a miracle that it didn't start a fire. If it is I would be dead before I could even finish the dungeon. Even my phone got destroyed. I really can't rest.
"Sigh! What a shit to start a day."
How can I even pay for this. My head is hurt and spinning like crazy.
*Knock* *Knock*
Speaking of pay. Fortunately the only thing that got damage is my room. I wore clothes that can be wear, went to the door and open it.
" Noir are you okay? What happened?"
Mrs. Rosa worriedly asked.
"Yes I'm okay but I'm really sorry. I accidentally destroyed my room."
I bowed my head. There's no shame of bowing your head if you're inn the wrong after all a man should take responsibility for his actions.
"Raise your head and tell me what happened."
" I accidentally awakened new power and it went berserk."
I showed it to her by releasing black lightning in my palm. Her eyes widen in shock then she smiled gently.
"Why are you asking for forgiveness if you didn't do anything wrong? I should be congratulating you for awakening your powers. You can just move to another room if there's no damage."
"Thank you Mrs. Rosa."
"You're welcome"
*Beep! Beep!*
Mrs. Rosa and I looked over and saw a luxurious car stopped at the front of the apartment building. A blonde woman who looks like she's in her late 20s got out of the car. She's wearing business suit with a professional smile. She came to me and asked
"Are you Mr. Noir Egas?"
"Yes, Ma'am, how can I help you?"
I asked cautiously.
"Do not be alarmed, I was sent here by secretary George Rouge because your phone number cannot be contacted."
It must be because of Yulia. She took out her phone and made a call.
"Hello sir, I have arrived at Mr. Noir's place."
((Okay, Please give the phone to him. I want to talk to him.))
"Okay Mr. Secretary. Here Mr. Noir, Secretary George wants to talk to you."
"Thank you."
I received the phone and greeted
"Hello sir!"
((Mhm, Do not be nervous I just want to thank you for saving and taking care my daughter.))
He answered just like Yulia.
"That's what I should do as her friend."
((I heard your apartment was destroyed by strange black lightning last night. So I called you if you need help. I also held back others from investigating immediately so you don't need to worry about others bothering you.))
"Thank you sir, that was already a great help to me."
((No need for thanks, what you did for my daughter is more than just that so I was thinking of--- Wait Yulia, I thought you are resting.))
Yulia grabbed the phone
(( Hello Noir! I will come over to help you but what you need. So you can replace your broken things.))
"Eh!? But---
((Don't be stubborn, I'm going to go shopping with you. Do you understand?))

"Yes ma'am!"
((Good! Wait for me.)) *Toot!* *Toot!* *Toot!*
*Sigh*
"Here is the phone. Thank you."
"You're welcome. Anyway even I don't know what you have done for the young miss but I will still have to thank you for what you have done for her. If you ever need help don't hesitate to call this number."
She took out her business card and gave it to me. She walked towards to the car and drive it away.
"Wow! You even know the secretary of the National Espers Association. He is known as the "Demon in Glasses". There's also rumors that he will run for Councilor in this year's election. You even become friends with his Daughter. Re-awakeners are really something."
She nodded with approval and admiration.
"We just meet by a chance."
"A chance can change somebody's life forever. Well then I won't bother you any longer."
She waved her hand and walked away. A chance can change somebody's life forever huh? That's true for me, one night is enough to change my life forever. I got lost to a dungeon in dreams, fight monsters, met a friend, fight with monsters again, witness hell, massacre monsters, comfort a friend and fight with my life on the line and get stronger.
I went back to change my clothes. I listed everything that I need to buy.
*Beep! Beep!*
A car parked in front of the apartment building. The car opened and saw Yulia in the back seat.
"Noir, get in the car."
She invited
"Okay."
"Miss where are we going?"
The driver asked
"To the Amaya Shopping district."
"What!? That's The well know luxurious shopping district isn't it?"
I asked
"Don't worry I understand, everything is on me. I will pay for everything."
She said confidently. *Sigh* I gave up, whatever happened, happens.
"Okay."
"Good! Let's go."
After 45minutes of travel and little bit of traffic we arrived at Amaya Shopping district. If I described it in 1 word? Luxurious, 2 words? Can't afford. Is it really okay for someone like me to be here? But I didn't asked out loud.
"Okay, Let's start shopping, let's go for clothes first."
I got scared a little because according to the legends that I read online that girls shopping for eternity. We went to the clothes store for men.
"How about this one? I think this would be look good at you. Would you like to try it?"
She handed a polo shirt that can cost several times more than I can afford and answering no is clearly not an option. I just did what I was told.
"Mhm! looks good. Next one."
Yeah definitely not looking good for my status. I am just an ordinary guy. She bought me different kinds of clothes casual, formal etc.
"Is your girlfriend the one who pays?"
The cashier asked, surprised before being flustered.
"Don't get me wrong, I'm not judging. I'm just surprised because it's kinda rare."

She looked at us with a knowing smile.
"sure"
*Sigh* I really felt guilty for making her pay for my clothes.
When we are walking towards to the net shop. She asked me solemnly using telepathy.
(Did I pushed you too hard? I just want to help you as much as I can but perhaps it just troubled you.)

You kind of already did but I'm not angry I'm just ashamed of myself.
(Want to eat first and talk about things? I know we just met last night and we don't know much about each other but for me that 1 night is enough to trust you with my life.)
She asked and I understand her.
(Sure! It was the same goes for me.)
We arrived at the restaurant and ordered some food. We looked at each other with awkward silence. She started to speak.
"So umm! I'm Yulia Rouge nice too meet you again."
I smiled at her
"Nice to meet you again Yulia, I'm Noir Egas.
Pfft hahaha! we are so awkward."
She laughed with me.
"Hehe!"
She changed the subject
"So, How are you? Can you tell me about yourself? Or should I go first?"
"No need, I'll go first. As you know I'm an Orphan."
"Sorry."
"No it's alright. As I said I'm an orphan and I'm not actually good at socializing so I apologize if I did something that make you uncomfortable."
"No it's the same for me. I'm also not good at socializing."
Huh? Isn't she a young lady?
"Really? I thought you would be used to socializing because of your family's status."
"I really don't like the atmosphere there and there are self proclaimed young masters that keeps hitting on me. My parents are not so strict on those things so since I don't like it, they didn't force me."
"It must be tough."
She agreed
"Yeah, it is but I'm still very happy because I have loving parents, cute little sister annoying uncle and strict teacher uncle though we're not blood related."
"Not blood related?"
I asked curiously.
"Mhm, Uncle Arnold and teacher uncle Davis are my father's sworn brothers."
Did she say uncle Arnold?
"Wait a minute, are you talking about Arnold Barvatos the "Gravity Demon."?"
"Please don't tell me that you're his fan, Please don't."
"Eh? Is there anything's wrong with that?"
"I'm not keeping you from Idolizing someone but just not him. I can't take it if you become annoying like him. He keeps teasing me everytime you know? Last time He teased me about—"
She looked away and blushed.
"Huh? About what?"
"Forget about it. Why do you even admire him?"
I smiled and said
"Because he saved my life."
"What?"
You can do it Noir, I encourage myself. I think I can tell it because that's how much I trust her.
"He saved me 7 years ago from an accident. Although I don't remember much but I still remember that my parents and I went out of town and then the next thing I remembered was that I woke up in the hospital and my parents were gone. I was told by the nurse I was saved by the strongest Esper Arnold Barvatos.
I was devastated, I escape from the hospital and tried to commit suicide but he arrived and stopped me. He said that if I really love my parents then I should live because that is the only way for my parents memories to live. As long as I'm alive my parents memories will live and I should live well to honor their memories."
She cried after hearing my stories. I can't blame her though.
(Sorry, I tried to stop it but I can't. I don't want you to think that I pity you but I just can't stop my tears.)
She apologize telepathically. I handed my handkerchief to her.

She started talking about her family happily. About her overly worried and caring mother, a busy father who always doing his best to find time for his family, A cute sister who always admire her, maids like Serena who always taking care of her. Chefs like Conor who cooks delicious food and kindly get along with her wishes to create new food she called "Chinese food", I don't know what that means though.
Annoying uncle Arnold who liked to tease her, Strict teacher uncle Davis who doesn't like reverse grip for unknown reason and overly competitive friend Ruby who is also the daughter of her uncle Davis. She always challenge with her in everything. She tried to socialize with Ruby's friends but because she feels like she doesn't belong to the social world like talking about the trend, so she stopped and just do her own things. She talked about comics, anime, novels and games which somewhat surprised me. Since I can relate on this we talked about it.
(By the way, I heard from my father that he can't contact your phone. Did you broke it or something?)
(Yeah I did.)
(Wanna go and buy a new one?)
(Sure)
I answered without resistance. After we talked about for a long time I think I would be okay for anything.
(Just so you know. I'm not doing it for free although a part of it is because you're my friend. I'm doing this because I need your help. I will dive in that dungeon again in the future and I certainly need your ridiculous power. Can I count on you?)
(Anytime you need me to help, I Will do it without hesitation.)

Me too honestly, I would be troubled if she's doing it for free.
We bought phone and exchanged numbers. We went to furniture shop to buy what I need. We goes to other shops as well. She called the driver to pick us up then drop me to my apartment.
"What the heck?"
I arrived in my apartment and it is as good as new.
*Yulia' s POV.*
I was so happy that I was be able to go shopping with a friend but I have overdone it and made him uncomfortable. Fortunately we were able to get to know each other more than before. Honestly, his stats are no joke even in real life.

Tsk! Calm down Yulia, calm down. You can forgive him for today.
"Wow! You're in a good mood. It seems that the date was a success."
"It's just shopping not a date."
"HAHAHA! Sure, anything you say. Let's eat dinner together. I heard that Connor made kung Pao chicken for the dinner. I'm so Excited."
"umm uncle Arnold I heard from Noir that you saved his life twice."
He changed his expression and become serious.
"No I just saved his life once. He tried to commit suicide but I stopped him and give him a reason to live. That's all I can say."
My mom covered her mouth in shock.
"Okay, Let's just eat dinner."
My father said calmly and we went together to the dining room.
Surely there's something more than just what Noir told me that even he didn't know.
