Inside Herta's office.
One of Herta's puppets was currently engaged in a remote transmission. Before her hovered the holographic projection of a mechanical aristocrat Screwllum.
Herta appeared somewhat impatient. "Fine, that's all I have to say. Just find the time to come over; we need to have a face-to-face talk about the new Simulated Universe project."
"Additionally," she added, "that little hacker girl you once faced is here too."
"I haven't settled the score with her for stealing the Stellaron last time. This time, I'm going to give her a proper lesson."
Screwllum, however, asked a different question. "Herta, how can you be so certain that Silver Wolf is currently on your space station?"
After all, Silver Wolf was an old opponent of his, and he was intimately familiar with the young hacker's methods. Generally speaking, by the time someone discovered a trace of Silver Wolf, it meant she had already achieved whatever goal she had set out for.
"It's simple, really," Herta replied. "I had a fellow from the Department of Implement Security screen for her tracks, and the poor guy was led around in circles. How could Silver Wolf possibly pass up the chance to infiltrate the station and look for that Curio she wants?"
Screwllum tapped his head lightly.
"So, a conclusion deduced from the emotional tendencies of organic lifeforms," he mused. "Very well, I shall arrive on schedule."
Once the communication ended, Herta sent a message to the station staff regarding Screwllum's impending arrival before returning to her own work. She didn't care one bit how the space station staff chose to handle that information.
Consequently, she was unaware that everyone on the space station had dropped their work today to study a game titled Honkai: Star Rail.
Throughout the station, several management-level employees, including Asta, received the message from Herta. Normally, they would have been terrified and scrambled to prepare, but today, they all ignored it.
They were either watching Guinaifen's story stream and Asta's Warps, or they were busy experiencing Honkai: Star Rail for themselves. They were all deeply immersed, unable to pull themselves away!
After all, even the Lead Researcher was busy with a Warp. Who had the time to care about messages from anyone else?
[Combat Ended]
In Guinaifen's livestream, just when everyone thought the Doomsday Beast had been defeated, an unexpected change occurred!
A blinding light suddenly erupted from its head as it jerked upward like a ticking time bomb. A destructive beam of light shot out instantly. The unfortunate target caught in its path was the already exhausted March 7th.
"March!" her companions cried out.
But it was clearly too late. March looked on in shock, instinctively raising her arms to shield her face.
In that split second, a figure suddenly blocked the path in front of March 7th. It was none other than the protagonist, the Trailblazer!
...
"Whoa, the Trailblazer is way too brave!"
"Is this true love?"
"The Trailblazer is so cool!"
"Does this actually happen in reality? If I were March, I'd marry her on the spot!"
...
The Doomsday Beast's destruction beam hit Stelle's body dead-on. Stelle threw her arms wide, using her own body to shield March from the pouring energy.
Since she was the protagonist and everyone knew Stelle was still alive and well in the real world, the worry was minimal, but the tension remained. She should be fine...
Sure enough, a moment later, Stelle appeared in a unique space.
Above her, the sky seemed to have been torn open, forming a massive wound. Golden traces, looking like flowing lava, dripped from within. Stelle was falling continuously, as if into a bottomless abyss.
An ethereal voice whispered: "It is time to depart."
If the scene of her blocking the ultimate move was moving and hot-blooded, this moment was enough to make one's skin crawl in awe. Weren't they just fighting? Why had the scene suddenly changed?
Outside the crowd, Silver Wolf was caught in a dilemma. On one hand, the game plot had taken a massive turn, and the vessel she had "printed" herself Stelle had undergone a significant transformation at the critical moment! On the other hand, a new 5-star character was being revealed, and it was likely to be either Kafka or herself.
After thinking for two seconds, Silver Wolf used Aether Editing to create an anti-gravity device and flew toward the livestream screen!
Characters were just one part of the game; she had already downloaded it and would eventually Warp for them herself. But the influence of the plot was different! This developer was truly extraordinary! They had managed to recreate the characters' Ultimates and abilities so perfectly and even knew the various powers of the Doomsday Beast.
All signs indicated that this developer had a significant background! Perhaps there was some crucial information hidden within the game. Her duty as a Stellaron Hunter told her that she had to grasp this information immediately!
Silver Wolf hovered directly in the air above the crowd, securing the best viewing position. The people below were so drawn in that they were practically surrounding the large screen, leaving nothing but a sea of heads visible from behind.
At that moment, the camera zoomed out.
The jagged golden wound wasn't in the sky it was a scar on a person's chest! More precisely, it wasn't a person, but a god!
An Aeon!
The Aeon of Destruction, Nanook!
