Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The Fire in the Past

Arnold, the leader known as "Chief," was a man forged in pain. At thirteen, he had discovered his mother's murder and, in a fit of raw, elemental rage, had executed the criminals himself. The Old Supreme God, seeing a heart that burned with both justice and agony, chose to erase the record of that night from human history and train Arnold to lead. Arnold used that second chance to build a life, a business, and a team, but the fire within him never truly cooled.

When Arnold woke up after the explosion, he wasn't in space. He was on Planet Y11, his body broken and smoking from the atmospheric entry. The villagers of the nearby town found him, but they recoiled in fear at his strange attire and glowing eyes. Only an old woman named Criza showed him mercy. She nursed him back to health in her small hut, sharing the story of her son Lerck, who had vanished years ago. Arnold, feeling the weight of her kindness, promised to find him.

As he explored, Arnold realized with a shock that he was on Earth—but in the year 1849, in a region known as Genghai. The land was ruled by a tyrant who claimed to control nature itself. This ruler, also named Genghai, lived in a fortress of twisted vines and stone. Arnold fought his way to the inner sanctum, only to find the tyrant wasn't a god at all. He was a man wearing the Green Ring—the Ring of Combined Elemental Power.

The battle was brutal. The Green Ring allowed Genghai to counter Arnold's fire with earth and water. Just as Genghai prepared a finishing blow, the world went silent. Time froze, turning the embers in the air into motionless orange sparks. Out of a shimmering portal stepped a mysterious man. He didn't look like a warrior; he looked like a librarian of the universe. He walked calmly to the frozen Genghai, slid the Green Ring off his finger, and glanced at Arnold with a look of recognition.

Without a word, the mysterious man stepped back into his portal and vanished. The moment he left, time resumed with a violent jolt. Without the ring to sustain his stolen life force, Genghai withered and died instantly. Arnold stood over the fallen tyrant, confused and breathless, but he didn't have time to investigate. His hands began to glow with a familiar white light, and his body started to fade into the air, pulled by a force he couldn't resist.
