Chapter 37 - Uea XVII

"Everyone, be careful, it has ten thousand Metal, however, this thing is smart," Corus quietly warned everyone, pulling Nayu from its sheath.

"Nayu, help me here, let's fight this creature together," Corus whispered to himself as he nodded, signaling everyone to do their best. Immediately, they tried the overwhelm strategy. Loran was spamming Hilosive Punches; however, the Batso kept dodging.

Naki used her Light Spears, throwing all of them toward the Batso. This time, the Light Spears seemed to have evolved, and they were more refined. Their speed had a persistent line, no ups and downs, no falls or rises, just a continuous line with the speed of light.

However, the Batso blocked the Light Spears with its durable wings. 'It has durable scales, however, Pain Bubbles do not only attack the outside, but as well as the inside,' Geia thought to herself as she unleashed a fury of Pain Bubbles. However, the Batso just dodged them or broke them with its Wind Force.

However, Corus had already started analyzing it, jumping on it, readying a decisive slash that would end everything in one hit. However, the Batso disappeared in the black fog it made, separating everyone far away from each other. Everyone realized its true Magicu.

It was Fog Magicu, and they just realized the black mist they were in was thick, so they wouldn't be able to see through it. The Batso targeted Geia first.

The Batso flew toward Geia from the fog unexpectedly with insane speed. Geia gasped as she was hit by the wings of the creature, immediately falling to the ground filled with rocks.

"Damn you!" Geia grunted as she grabbed a rock, throwing it at the Batso to no avail. However, she expected this as she jumped on the rock-filled ground onto the Batso, giving it no time to react as she punched its face with tremendous force.

The Batso fell to the ground, shivering as it opened its wings, and with the force within itself, it made the wind it blew dense, which meant it had way more force than normal wind as it blew toward Geia. However, Geia tanked the fast, dense winds, still standing her ground.

Then suddenly, she had a sudden burst of energy as she jumped through the force of the wind, her speed immeasurable as she chanted, "Love Magicu: Pain Arrows!" She shouted loud enough for the others to hear.

Loran, who was on the far north of her, which was south, thought to himself, 'She must be fighting the Batso, and my brother has no way to analyze it, since he is only good at that. Are we doomed?' Loran hesitated on that thought for a moment before chuckling. 'No way, I've faced enemies worse than this!' Loran was clearly talking about the Knight.

Meanwhile, Geia finally readied her attacks as she launched the Pain Arrows toward the Batso. The Pain Arrows were fast, on the same level or even faster than Naki's Light Spears.

The Batso had no choice but to defend with its wings. However, the Pain Arrows were made out of dense and concentrated energy. As the arrows shot through its scales, they left much more pain than average. The Batso made a noise in agony as it flew to the sky and then slammed onto the ground again, smashing its head into a pile of rocks. This caused a Magnitude two impact, strong enough to shake the entire ground beneath them.

"It's shaking the ground," Corus said. Even in a case of emergency, he still had a quiet tone.

"What the hell is this?" Loran asked as he kicked the ground.

"An earthquake?" Naki questioned.

However, the slam that the Batso did made the black fog disappear. Without thinking, Lanister, who had been just standing there observing the fight and staying quiet, finally smiled.

"I analyzed it!" Lanister proudly claimed.

"You can see through fog?" Corus said, not even looking at Lanister.

"Well, my barriers can, and they're transparent, so I placed a barrier in front of me and was able to analyze it," Lanister stated.

"Took you long enough, now what's the strategy, banana hair!" Loran was excited to fight but mocked Lanister because of his yellow hair.

"Hey! I realized that when facing off against Geia, when she used flashy moves, it closed its eyes, which means its eyes are highly sensitive, so target that?" Lanister stated the weakness of the Batso as he finally walked toward the group.

"That's all the things you analyzed? Pretty good. Now, just leave me to handle it," Corus said, walking slowly to the Batso.

"Hey! I'm supposed to fight too!" Loran said, but Corus just glared at him, so he backed down.

"Flower Magicu: Explosive Flowers!" Corus hit the air with his palm, and midway, he launched flowers of different colors and types. However, this time, they were fast, and the Batso roared, thinking it could block them. However, upon the flowers finally making contact, they exploded, and the Batso screeched.

The moment the Batso cleared the smoke, Corus was already there in its face, doing a drop kick with his sword as he pierced it into the Batso's left eye, all the way to its brain, as it fell down, now a corpse.

Corus stood on it as he walked back to his group. "Well, that's done," Corus casually and quietly said, as all his companions were just dumbfounded.

And with that, they continued the path to the town.
