Chapter 39 - Uea XIX

The squad headed upstairs, over to their room. As they entered, it was dark, so they turned on the light, and as they did, they were speechless at how beautiful the room was.

The roof was pristine white, looking incredibly rich. The floor was carved wood, a lighter tint, and it was very clean.

The doors to the bathroom and the other rooms were made of rich wood, and the bedrooms were a chef's kiss. There were queen bunk beds, desks, and the master bedroom had a beautiful king-size bed with curtains.

"This is a wonderful room, only for two gold coins?!" Loran was completely shocked.

"Well, the world is facing poverty right now. There are bronze coins, metal coins, and gold coins, then Braium coins, and finally, diamond coins," Geia said as she lay on the king-size bed.

"Oh yeah, I forgot Braium," Naki said. "Braium, isn't it one of the toughest metals besides Iron Obsidian?"

Corus then spoke out of nowhere. "Me and Naki will stay in this room. You guys take the bunk beds."

"Well, fine with me," Geia said. However, Loran got mad. "Hold on, why?"

He said this while Naki was just blushing.

"Loran, you're fourteen, Geia's fifteen, and me and Naki are probably the oldest," Corus stated.

"Yeah, I'm sixteen," Naki said as Corus nodded.

"Fine then," Loran said angrily.

"Anyways, are you guys going to sleep now? Me and Loran will explore the inn and maybe the town a little bit more," Geia said, questioning Naki and Corus.

"That sounds fun. Corus, wanna go?" Naki said excitedly.

Then, Lanister opened the room door. "I'm done showering, finally!" he said.

"Finally you're back. You're taking the guest room," Corus said.

"Any room is fine by me," Lanister replied. "And I overheard you, and I wanna come too."

"Alright, we can all come and explore the place a little bit more," Geia said.

"It's better when me and Geia are the only ones," Loran said, clearly annoyed.

Meanwhile, in the principal's office, Janto was sitting at his desk, sorting out papers by category, until Lucina entered the room.

"Father, the speech is tomorrow. Any suggestions?" Lucina said as she sat on the comfy chair.

"Suggestions? You're an expert. You should be able to handle it all on your own," Janto stated as he continued sorting papers.

"Wow…" Lucina said sarcastically. "What a sweet, supportive parent."

Lucina then sighed as she looked at the white wall, then back at Janto, who was still sorting papers, not even paying attention to her.

"Father!" Lucina's voice was sharp.

"Yes?" Janto flinched as he responded.

"Seriously? Ignoring me?" Lucina said.

"Listen, Lucina, if you need suggestions, just be formal and polite. Tomorrow's a big day, after all," Janto intoned.

"What even is the entrance exam?" Lucina asked, confused.

"You're the Minister, and you don't know?" Janto sighed as he finally let go of his pen.

"Well, that's because Galun is being an annoying ant! He keeps bothering me! Honestly, who appointed that guy as a teacher!" Lucina shouted angrily.

Then Janto coughed at his daughter's declaration of "Who appointed that guy as a teacher," because it was totally, totally not him.

Meanwhile, the group was enjoying the spring.

"I love this!" Naki said.

"So enjoyable!" Geia sighed in relief.

"I'm not even angry at stupid Corus for taking the king bed," Loran replied.

"Geia!!! I hate you for not telling me there's a place like this, damn it!" Lanister said as he enjoyed himself in the spring.

"Can everybody please shut up? You all are so loud!" Corus said quietly.
