"What is this...?"
Blue stared at the small orb on the ground, having no idea what this man named Sebastian was plotting. If he wanted to kill him, he could have easily ordered Arbok to finish him off just now. That was exactly why Blue was so suspicious of his motives.
"The orb in front of you is a curing medicine. Even if the toxin has spread throughout the entire body, it can cleanse it. But if the poisoned victim isn't given this orb within a certain timeframe, its medicinal properties will vanish completely. So, how will you choose? Will you continue interfering with our plans, or will you gamble on the chance of being tricked to go save your Raticate?"
After saying this, Ash stood quietly watching Blue. Houndoom, Mightyena, and Arbok did the same. Although they really wanted to thrash this kid, they wouldn't move an inch without Ash's orders.
Under their watchful eyes, Blue slowly crouched down, picked up the orb, and wiped it off.
"If... if this orb is a fake, then even if it costs my life, I'll make you pay."
With that, Blue recalled his Charizard, Rhydon, and Arcanine, then summoned his Pidgeot. Did he even need to make a choice? He didn't. As long as he could save Raticate, even if the odds were one in ten thousand, Blue was willing to take the gamble.
"Pidgeot! To the Pokémon Center where Raticate is, right now! GO!"
"Pidgeo!"
Sensing the urgency, Pidgeot let out a long cry and quickly vanished into the sky with Blue. Ash then turned to look at Green who was standing off to the side.
"Now that the nuisance is dealt with, shouldn't we continue our little chat? Honestly, I'd love to have a deep conversation with you about the concept of human body synthesis."
"Ah! You creep! Is there really no one here to stop you?!"
Seeing Ash closing in on her, Green instantly drew her Poké Ball and pointed it at him. "I'm warning you! Watch out, or I'll have Pokémon beat you to a pulp!"
"Oh? Really now? If you know your man is so strong, why haven't you been a good girl and asked me to save you?" Ash said as he ripped off his mask and pinched Green's cheeks.
Seeing that the masked man was actually Ash, Green froze for a second. Then, she burst into tears and leaped onto Ash like an octopus, wrapping her arms and legs tightly around him.
"Waaaah!!! Ash, you bastard! It really is you! You bastard, you actually came to save me! You nearly scared me to death just now! If I hadn't seen Arbok, I was about to have Ditto attack you!"
Held in a death grip, Ash rolled his eyes. "It's your own fault for not trusting your man. Let me ask you, why didn't you ask for my help when you saw me in the mirror?"
"Who knows?! My first instinct when I saw you was to warn you! I totally should have just told you to come save me!"
Right now, Green had absolutely no intention of letting go. First, she was overly emotional from seeing Ash. Second, this world was too damn dangerous; she only felt safe while clinging to him.
Ash patted her back gently and said, "Alright, alright, no need to be scared anymore. Your man is here; you don't have to worry about anyone bullying you. I specifically brought the old gang along to help out this time."
"You promised! Don't let anyone bully me."
"Yes, yes, now get down... Even though our relationship makes holding you like this completely fine, I'm worried I might lose control and actually make a baby with you right here."
Hearing Ash say that, Green slapped his shoulder. "Geez. Stop messing around at a time like this."
She proceeded to wipe her tear-streaked face all over Ash's clothes, making herself completely at home.
Ash flicked away a booger Green had just blown onto his shirt and said, "Let's go. I've found you, but I still need to finish running an errand for my godfather."
"Godfather?"
"Yeah, Giovanni, the Boss of Team Rocket. Let's go."
"Wait! Hold on! I just pissed off Team Rocket over here!"
Hearing they were going inside, Green instantly protested. After all, she had just offended Team Rocket, and having fully realized how dangerous this world was, she didn't want Ash taking risks for her.
Seeing her so afraid, Ash simply threw her over his shoulder, put his mask back on, and said, "We're going. Just pretend I'm kidnapping a maiden."
"Nooooo! Stop screwing me over at a time like this!!!"
Just as Ash was about to leave with Green slung over his shoulder, a voice rang out from the side.
"Ivysaur, use Razor Leaf!"
"Saur!"
Countless sharp leaves flew toward Ash. Seeing this, the Houndoom beside Ash spewed a blast of fire, incinerating the leaves instantly.
"Woof!"
After burning the leaves to a crisp, Houndoom fired a Flamethrower directly at the source of the Razor Leaf attack. Then, a scene played out that left Houndoom, Mightyena, and even Arbok utterly speechless. A boy who looked incredibly similar to how Ash looked when he was younger ran out with an Ivysaur. Looking at the boy's face, Mightyena and Houndoom exchanged bewildered glances, looked at Ash, then looked at the boy, completely at a loss for what to do.
"Woof?" (What's going on?)
"Woof?" (Is that our master from this world? What do we do? Even if it's not the exact same person, I can't bring myself to bite him...)
Mightyena and Houndoom descended into deep confusion.
