Chapter 223 - Chapter 223 Alpha Wolf

It wasn't just Mightyena and Houndoom who were confused; Green was equally bewildered. After all, this kid looked way too much like Ash. Of course, if you looked closely, you could spot the differences.

Technically speaking, Ash was the cool, indifferent type of handsome. The kid in front of them leaned more toward the energetic, fiery type.

"Hmm... Why did you attack me?"

Looking at this boy who resembled his younger self, Ash had already figured out the general situation. The boy glared back at Ash and declared, "To stop you from kidnapping a civilian, of course! Anyone with a shred of conscience would step up at a time like this, wouldn't they?!"

As he spoke, the boy slowly moved his hand toward his waist. The pressure radiating from Ash's two Pokémon was suffocating.

Ash waved a hand dismissively. "While your intentions are good, you've got it all wrong... I'm her man."

"...Uh... Sorry, could you repeat that?"

"I'm her man. She got herself lost and made me come looking for her. So, as punishment, I was just scaring her a bit."

Hearing Ash's explanation, the boy froze. He looked over at Green, who looked embarrassed but wasn't denying it, and instantly realized he had interrupted their private business.

"I'm sorry! It was a misunderstanding!"

Realizing his mistake, the boy immediately began apologizing. Ash shook his head and said, "It's fine. You had good intentions anyway. By the way, I'm Sebastian. As you can see, I am the man of this troublesome girl I'm carrying."

"Hello, Mr. Sebastian. I'm Red, a Pokémon Trainer."

"Nice to meet you, Red. If there's nothing else, I'll be taking her and leaving. My wife and I still have things to settle."

With the introductions out of the way, Ash had no intention of sticking around. Now, he just needed to wait for his godfather on this side to get the Master Ball, and then he could head home.

"Oh, right! Sorry for bothering you two! Goodbye then, Mr. Sebastian, and..."

Red looked at Green, unsure of what to call her. Ash, still carrying her, walked away and said, "She's just too shy. See you around, Red."

"Hold on, who's shy?! Put me down this instant!"

Watching Ash and Green bicker as they walked away, Red smiled and said, "They really do have a great relationship... Wait! Isn't Saffron City locked down by Team Rocket?!"

Suddenly realizing something was off, Red tried to chase after them, only to slam face-first into an invisible wall. Seeing this, his Ivysaur and Pikachu both turned their heads away, unable to bear the sight.

"Wait a minute!"

Although the collision hurt, Red still wanted to ask Ash for clarification. But Ash and Green had completely ignored him and disappeared into the distance.

"This wall... what should I do...?"

Staring at the invisible barrier, Red was at a loss. Just then, a man walked up beside him and asked, "Need a hand, kid?"

Hearing the voice, Red quickly turned around, coming face to face with someone completely unexpected.

"Elite Four Lance?!"

While Red bumped into Lance, Ash carried Green all the way back to Sabrina. Although many Team Rocket grunts recognized Green, they all chose to keep their mouths shut when they saw she was being carried by the brutally savage new General.

They couldn't help it; this new General was simply too terrifying. Not only was every single one of his Pokémon absurdly strong, but what was even scarier was that he specialized in Dark-type Pokémon.

You had to understand, in this era, countless people were still terrified of Dark-type Pokémon.

Upon returning to Sabrina's location, Ash put Green down. The moment Green saw Sabrina, she scrambled onto Ash's back and panicked: "I'm dead! It's that psychic woman I pissed off earlier! Hubby, protect me!"

Seeing Green acting so melodramatic, a red light flashed in Sabrina's eyes, and Green was instantly teleported right in front of her. Sabrina stared at Green and said flatly, "I am the Sabrina from our timeline. Just like you, I am Ash's fiancée. Understand?"

Green blanked out for a moment. Looking closely, she realized that this Sabrina did indeed feel different from the one she had offended earlier. She let out a massive sigh of relief. "Phew... You scared me to death... I thought you were the one I messed with. Sorry about that..."

Sabrina shook her head at the apology. "It's fine. But Ash, since we've saved her, can we go back now?"

Ash, who was feeding Berries to his Zigzagoon, replied, "Let's wait until Godfather gets the Master Ball. But yes, our team can prepare to retreat... Good thing everything went smoothly."

BOOM!!!

Crash!

Hearing the massive explosion immediately after Ash tempted fate, Sabrina quickly covered her mouth. Ash's deadpan expression of absolute speechlessness was just too funny. Green, mirroring Sabrina, was also covering her mouth and giggling. Ash really looked hilarious right now.

"Ash, don't raise flags next time. Hahahaha!"

"Yeah... I'll go take care of it. Green, Sabrina, you two wait here."

Since his words were thrown back in his face at the speed of light, Ash had no choice but to go deal with the intruders. After all, Ash had no intention of letting whoever made him look bad off the hook easily.

When Ash led Houndoom and Mightyena outside Silph Co., he finally saw exactly who was capable of causing such a massive ruckus so easily. It was one of the Elite Four of this world—Lance.

Looking at the Flying-type Elite Four member who was completely hard-countered by his fiancée in his own world, Ash revealed a look of deep interest.

"What do you guys say? How strong do you think the Lance of this world is? If you defeat Lance's Pokémon, do you think Dark-type Pokémon will start becoming popular over here?"

Hearing Ash say this, Houndoom and Mightyena exchanged a look and nodded. If Ash wanted to play, they would play along to the end. They were going to show these fools that Dark-type Pokémon were absolute monsters on the battlefield!

Spurred on by this thought, the aura radiating from Houndoom and Mightyena completely transformed. In their eyes, Lance had just become prey.

Either kill the prey, or become the prey. That was exactly who they were. That was the creed of the vicious hounds led by their Alpha Wolf, Ash.

Seeing his Houndoom and Mightyena practically overflowing with bloodlust, Ash threw his arms wide open and declared, "Excellent. Let us begin! From this moment on, this is your stage! We are Darkness. Pure, absolute Darkness! Let the world witness the true allure of Dark-type Pokémon! Hahahahaha!!!"

Accompanied by Ash's maniacal laughter, several fearless reporters aimed their cameras directly at the bizarre masked man.
