Chapter 34: A New Bond
The girl looked at Obito silently for a few moments. Then she answered in a soft voice,
"My name... is Rin."
It was the first time Obito had heard that name.
After a brief silence, Obito said,
"Just take me to the police station. Then I'll go home. My Royal Guard must be looking for me."
As soon as Rin heard the words "police station," fear appeared on her face.
She immediately said,
"No... We are not going to the police station."
Obito looked at her in surprise.
"Why?"
Instead of answering, Rin quickly changed the subject.
"You said your Royal Guard would be looking for you?"
Before Rin could finish speaking, the sound of several car engines suddenly came from a distance.
They both turned around at the same time.
Seven vehicles were speeding toward them.
A few moments later, all the vehicles stopped near them. Their doors opened, and several Royal Guards stepped out one after another.
Among them was the Captain of the Royal Guard.
As soon as Obito saw the Captain, he recognized him and quickly walked toward him.
The Captain saw Obito and immediately breathed a sigh of relief.
"Prince! Where did you go? We have been searching for you for a long time."
Obito nervously looked around before asking quietly,
"Did you tell my mom and dad that I ran away?"
The Captain remained silent for a few moments. He looked at Obito but did not say anything.
Obito was still waiting for his answer when, suddenly, a magnificent vehicle appeared between the Royal Guard vehicles.
Several Royal Guard vehicles were positioned in front of and behind it.
The moment Obito saw the magnificent vehicle, the color drained from his face.
He knew exactly who was inside.
"No..." Obito whispered.
He immediately moved away from the Captain and ran toward Rin. He went behind her and tried to hide.
Obito and Rin were almost the same height, so he could not completely hide behind her. His face was still clearly visible.
Rin looked back at him in surprise.
"Why are you hiding behind me?"
Obito nervously whispered,
"Just... let me stay here."
At that very moment, the magnificent vehicle stopped in front of them.
The door opened.
The first person to step out was a young King.
He was King Leon Enkares, 24 years old.
A young Queen stepped out right after him.
She was Queen Elizabeth Enkares, 24 years old.
Queen Elizabeth's eyes were filled with tears. She anxiously looked around, searching for her son.
"Where is Obito?"
Her eyes suddenly fell on Rin.
Then she noticed a small child trying to hide behind her.
King Leon and Queen Elizabeth were both surprised for a few moments.
The Queen looked carefully.
It was Obito.
Suddenly, anger appeared on her face.
"OBITO!"
Hearing the Queen's angry voice, both Obito and Rin were startled.
Obito slowly poked his head out from behind Rin.
The Queen was glaring at him.
Obito realized that there was no way he could escape now.
He nervously walked toward his mother.
"Mom..."
The Queen looked at him angrily.
"Where did you go? Do you know how worried we all were?"
Obito immediately lowered his head.
"Mom... I'm sorry."
The Queen angrily pulled his ear lightly.
"If you ever do something like this again..."
Tears appeared in Obito's eyes.
"Mom... I'm sorry."
King Leon watched the scene, and a small smile appeared on his face.
A few moments later, the Queen let go of Obito and looked toward Rin.
Her expression had become gentle.
She asked Obito,
"Obito, who is this girl?"
Obito immediately answered,
"She saved me from a bad man."
Both the King and Queen looked at Rin in surprise.
Then Queen Elizabeth slowly walked toward her.
In a warm and loving voice, she asked,
"Dear, what is your name?"
Rin nervously answered,
"Rin."
The Queen smiled.
"Rin... where are your parents?"
As soon as Rin heard the question, her eyes became filled with tears.
She lowered her head.
"I... I got separated from my parents."
King Leon's expression became serious.
He immediately looked toward the Captain of the Royal Guard.
"Captain, find this girl's parents. Search the entire area and inform the police as well."
Rin immediately became frightened.
"Not the police!"
The King looked at her in surprise.
"Why? The police can help you find your parents more quickly."
Rin shook her head.
"No... not the police."
The King thought for a few moments.
Then he spoke gently,
"Alright. If you don't want to go to the police, we will find another way."
Rin quietly looked at the King.
King Leon continued,
"We will put your picture throughout the Kingdom. People may recognize you from the picture, and perhaps your parents will hear about you and come to take you home. Would that be alright?"
Rin thought for a moment before slowly nodding.
"Yes... that's okay."
Then she looked at the King and Queen.
"Thank you."
King Leon smiled.
"You protected my son. Until we find your parents, you will stay with us."
Rin looked at the King in surprise.
Queen Elizabeth also looked at Rin lovingly.
The King then said,
"Come on. Let's go home now."
Obito immediately went to Rin.
He took her hand and began walking with her toward the vehicle.
Rin quietly walked beside him.
Seeing the two children walking toward the vehicle together while holding hands, Queen Elizabeth looked at King Leon and smiled.
"Look at our son."
The King looked toward Obito and Rin.
The two children were walking toward the vehicle while holding each other's hands.
A smile also appeared on the King's face.
Queen Elizabeth and King Leon both laughed softly.
Then the King and Queen got into their vehicle with Obito and Rin.
A few moments later, the royal convoy began moving.
Royal Guard vehicles traveled both in front of and behind the King, Queen, Obito, and Rin's vehicle, protecting them throughout the journey.
This was the first meeting between Obito and Rin.
But perhaps...
This meeting was destined to change both of their lives forever.
