Chapter 35: Rin's First Step into the Royal Palace
Then King Leon Enkares and Queen Elizabeth Enkares also got into the royal carriage with Obito and Rin.
A short while later, the royal convoy began its journey toward the palace.
Royal Guard vehicles were positioned both in front of and behind the carriage, protecting King Leon, Queen Elizabeth, Obito, and Rin.
This was Obito and Rin's first meeting, but no one knew that this meeting would eventually hold a special place in both of their lives.
After some time, the vehicles approached the Royal Palace.
As soon as Rin caught sight of the palace, she stared at it in amazement.
The towering buildings, enormous gates, and magnificent walls were completely new to her.
Obito noticed the look of wonder on Rin's face and smiled.
In a gentle, teasing voice, he asked,
"Have you never seen this palace before?"
Rin did not answer.
She simply continued staring at the palace in silence.
A few moments later, the royal carriages arrived in front of the palace's massive gates.
The enormous gates slowly began to open.
Grrrrrrrr...
The royal carriages entered the palace grounds.
The Royal Guard vehicles followed closely behind them and entered the palace as well.
After a short while, the convoy reached the inner section of the palace.
The royal carriage stopped in front of a large entrance.
Obito immediately took Rin's hand and stepped out of the carriage.
Then he began leading Rin inside the palace.
King Leon and Queen Elizabeth also stepped out of the carriage behind them.
Leon looked at his son and said,
"Obito, don't run. Walk slowly."
Elizabeth also smiled and said,
"Son, take care of Rin."
Obito turned toward his parents and replied,
"Mom, Dad, nothing will happen."
Then he looked at Rin.
"Are you okay?"
Rin silently nodded.
Obito immediately said,
"Come on. I'll show you my room."
With that, he took Rin's hand and began leading her along.
Before Rin could even understand what was happening, Obito had already taken her toward his room.
King Leon and Queen Elizabeth were surprised by their son's behavior.
Elizabeth looked at her husband, Leon Enkares, and said,
"Look at your son! What is he doing with that little girl?"
Then she looked at Rin. The moment she noticed the injuries on the girl's body, her expression became serious.
"Even though Obito knows that this girl is injured, he still took her to his room!"
Leon also looked at Rin.
Elizabeth continued,
"First, tell the palace doctor to prepare the Medical Room. Rin needs a complete medical examination."
Leon thought for a moment before replying,
"Forget that. She can use our private Medical Room."
With that, Leon walked toward the door.
He approached the Captain standing outside and called out,
"Captain!"
The Captain immediately stepped forward.
Leon gave his order.
"Tell the Director Doctor to prepare the Royal Medical Room. Prince Obito and Rin need a complete medical examination."
The Captain immediately bowed his head.
"Yes, Your Majesty."
The Captain then left to carry out the order.
Leon returned to the room and sat down beside his wife.
In a loving tone, he said,
"My dear wife, can't we hire a few servants for this part of the palace?"
Elizabeth immediately shook her head.
"No."
Leon looked at her in surprise.
Elizabeth spoke seriously.
"Our family lives in this section of the palace. That is why no unnecessary person is allowed to enter this part of the palace."
Then she continued,
"There are servants outside the palace who take care of the gardens and their maintenance. But the work in the area where we live is something we do ourselves. No one else is allowed to do it. I already clean our room and Obito's room myself, and I prepare the food myself as well."
Leon silently listened to his wife.
Elizabeth continued in a slightly serious tone,
"I don't want my family to ever be put in danger again. That is why no stranger will be allowed to enter the section of the palace where we live."
Suddenly, a faint smile appeared on Elizabeth's face.
Looking at her husband, she spoke mischievously,
"Besides, I already clean our room and Obito's room myself, and I cook the food too. If I ask you to do even a little work, you get tired immediately!"
Leon looked at his wife in surprise.
Then he smiled.
"Oh, so now you've started complaining about me too?"
Elizabeth burst into laughter.
Their laughter echoed through the quiet halls of the palace.
Meanwhile, Obito had already taken Rin into his room.
He was still unaware that the little girl who had entered his life was not merely a guest.
This meeting was the beginning of a new relationship that would change both of their lives forever.
