The giant mecha stood on the battlefield as the alliance army stretched across the plains.
Liien looked at the combat screen.
"Enemy forces confirmed. Millions of soldiers."
John watched the targeting system carefully.
"Shields detected. Many soldiers are using magic barriers."
Liien nodded.
"Then we break them."
He activated a new weapon.
A massive energy sword formed in the mecha's hand, glowing with bright power.
"Divine Sword activated."
The mecha swung the blade forward.
A huge energy wave shot across the battlefield toward the alliance army.
Thousands of soldiers raised their magic shields to block the attack.
For a moment, the shields held.
Then—
CRACK.
Many of the shields shattered under the energy blast.
The explosion threw soldiers backward.
Fear spread through the army.
Half of the soldiers began to run away from the battlefield.
But others refused to retreat.
A group of powerful mages stepped forward.
"Sun magic!" one of them shouted.
Golden light gathered in the sky.
A massive sunfire beam slammed into the mecha.
Liien reacted instantly.
"Defense shield!"
The mecha's protective barrier activated.
The sun magic exploded against it with a blinding flash.
The shield held—but the mecha's armor took minor damage.
Warning lights flashed inside the cockpit.
John checked the systems.
"Small damage to outer armor. Systems still stable."
Liien grinned.
"Good."
He raised the glowing sword again.
"Divine Sword strike."
The mecha slammed the blade into the ground.
A powerful shockwave spread through the battlefield.
Hundreds of soldiers were knocked down or injured, their formations collapsing.
The alliance army began to lose control of the battlefield.
But far away…
Inside the castle…
The Elf Queen's dark power was still growing.
