The Last Hope
The battlefield was silent.
The mecha lay broken near the edge of the Bloody River.
Half of its armor had been destroyed.
Inside the cockpit, every system warning light flashed red.
Liien was unconscious.
All the Dhuman soldiers who had come with John were down.
Only John was still awake.
He struggled to stand.
"We… can't lose here," he whispered.
Outside, the Demon Queen slowly walked toward the fallen machine.
"You fought well," she said calmly.
"But this world belongs to darkness now."
John clenched his fists.
Then something strange happened.
The water of the Bloody River began to move.
Soft lights started rising from the red water.
John looked outside the cracked cockpit window.
"Souls…"
Thousands of glowing figures began rising from the river.
They were the spirits of soldiers who had died in this timeline.
Humans.
Warriors.
People who had fallen in the wars of this world.
The spirits slowly surrounded the broken mecha.
A voice echoed in John's mind.
"You are not alone."
Another voice followed.
"We will help you."
The souls began flowing into the damaged machine.
Golden light spread across the broken armor.
Inside the cockpit, the systems suddenly reactivated.
Power levels started rising rapidly.
John stared at the control panel.
"Energy… increasing?"
The mecha began repairing itself.
Cracks in the metal closed.
Broken parts rebuilt themselves.
The entire machine transformed.
Its armor turned brilliant gold.
Energy wings formed behind it.
Liien slowly regained consciousness.
"What… happened?"
John looked forward with shock.
"The souls… they're helping us."
Outside, the Demon Queen stopped walking.
For the first time, she looked surprised.
The golden mecha slowly stood up.
The soldiers' spirits merged into the system, increasing its power far beyond its original limits.
A new weapon formed in the mecha's hands.
A glowing golden blade.
The Divine Sword.
John took control.
"Let's finish this."
The golden mecha raised the sword.
The final battle was about to begin.
