Alaric Davenport watched her with judgmental eyes. She tried to bluff her way through it, hoping the director would start filming quickly.
"Action!"
Landon Hale closed his eyes. "It's too bright."
She covered Landon Hale's face with a handkerchief. "Is that better?"
Landon Hale was speechless.
When he didn't respond after a long moment, she lowered her head slightly. In truth, she was already on edge, terrified Alaric Davenport would call "Cut" again.
The director nodded repeatedly. "Yes, yes, yes! This makes the scene so much more plausible. The emotion here is perfect! This is exactly the kind of tension we need."
Rosalind Lowell leaned down as if to kiss him, but she only touched the handkerchief lightly before immediately raising her head to check if anyone was watching.
"Director!"
The sudden voice jolted everyone out of the scene. The director let out a mournful sigh. "What is it now?"
"How could you start filming without me?"
