Rosalind Lowell glanced at Alaric Davenport. He looked like he wanted to eat her alive.
Taking advantage of the crowd, she quickly ate a few bites of her boxed lunch, planning to find a quiet place to rest for a bit. Suddenly, a car pulled up in front of her, and she was promptly bundled into the car.
"Alaric Davenport, what are you going to do if someone sees us?"
"Let them see. We're a legally married couple. Why should we be afraid of anyone seeing us?"
"But I don't want people to know about my relationship with you. If they do, they'll think I have a powerful backer instead of relying on my own merit. Even if my acting is amazing, they'll just overlook my talent…"
Before she could finish, Alaric Davenport silenced her with a kiss, stealing several more before he finally let her go.
"So you kissed someone else? They tell you to kiss him, and you just do it? If I hadn't come, were you just going to go for a real kiss?"
