A sudden sound broke Rosalind Lowell's concentration. She looked up at the director.
'I thought that take was going well. Why did he call cut?'
"Director?"
The director saw Rosalind Lowell's confused expression on the monitor. He immediately sat up straight. "That was going great. Why did you stop?"
"Didn't you call 'cut'?" Rosalind Lowell asked.
"I didn't!" The director shot to his feet. "Who called 'cut'? Who's messing with our shooting schedule?"
Rosalind Lowell's eyelid twitched. Her gaze fell on Alaric Davenport, and she instantly knew where that "cut" had come from.
Alaric Davenport met her gaze and put on an innocent expression, shrugging as if he really wasn't the one who had shouted.
Rosalind Lowell almost wondered if she had actually misunderstood him.
"Should we try again, Director?" Rosalind Lowell asked.
"Yes, yes, good. One more take." The director picked up his walkie-talkie. "All departments, back to your positions..."
