Synopsis
Forty-five-year-old struggling author Xie Mianhua has spent decades trying to forget the cringe-worthy romance novel she wrote when she was eight – "Love’s Sparkling Galaxy of Hearts" – a story filled with glitter stickers, "mysterious bloodlines," and a male lead based on a nice mailman. But when she trips over her cat and hits her head, she wakes up inside her unfinished book… as XIE "XI XI" MIANHUA – a nameless extra who was supposed to "just stand by the window and look thoughtful." Stuck in the body of a sixteen-year-old high school student, Xixi has to navigate puberty again, avoid the absurd plot points she wrote as a kid (like the main couple eloping to a circus), and keep from laughing out loud when characters recite lines she penned while eating gummy bears. To make things worse, the "soulmate scar" she gave the male lead ended up on the female lead’s older brother instead – and now everyone is confused about who’s supposed to end up with whom. As Xixi tries to fix the mess she created with her tiny child hands, she finds herself caught in a love square she never planned for: the perfect second male lead who’s been crushing on her, the female lead’s overprotective older brother who thinks she’s "weird but wonderful," the original bad boy male lead who loves baking more than brooding, and the actual male lead who writes poetry and looks at her like she hung the stars. Can Xixi rewrite her story to give everyone a happy ending – including herself? Or will her 45-year-old common sense be no match for the chaotic romance she created when she was eight?
