Chapter 26 - The Library

4 Days had passed since the group had arrived and they had barely found anything. Most of the scrolls they had found were due to Kaho's eye of Kagura noticing the seals that locked the scrolls.

The scrolls were hidden very well and under protection seals to destroy the content if broken. But even though most villages would salivate at the thought of obtaining these they were useless, Roku was positive that Kushina had a copy off almost all the ones they found.

The only 2 new ones was a diary of a Jonin's personal insights on the 4 symbol seals, and another diary on that same Jonin's insights on intermediate sealing Jutsu. While they would be useful to most people, Kushina was taught by Mito herself. These insights were probably obsolete to her.

But as they left the village to go back to check on Karin and the clones, Kaho directed them away from the boat.

She turned to them and explained, "I remember my Gramps mentioning an Uzumaki library out here, but he said i could only access it when i became an elder in his place"

Then as the group had traveled toward that secret clan library that Kaho vaguely remembered the direction of they found it. It was hidden through inconspicuous seals throughout the area.

After another day of searching and decoding the seals the gate opened. And what it showed was majestic to say the least.

After squeezing through the tiny passage the room opened up into a gigantic sealed vault.

As Roku assessed the seal he blanked, this seal was more complicated than any seal he had ever seen.

He then turned to the two women and sighed, "All I can guess is that if we try and force our way in, the contents of the library will be destroyed. I couldn't even begin to crack this sea."

Kaho looked disappointed and Pakura just sighed, then the group headed back toward the boat and decided to try and find another way.

Roku then gave an idea, "I'll send a message to Kushina and ask if she has any ideas"

The leaf village

As a Raven descended toward the new Uchiha clan compound, the sound of construction rang out. The new compound was still being finished but it looked much better than it did before.

Before the building was unfinished and only the foundations and basic structure was built. But now most of the buildings were being wrapped up and only the largest buildings like the clan heads' estate were still under construction.

As the raven closed in on a small body walking around the compound the boy jumped onto the roof of a nearby building.

As the raven appeared next to him the boy held out his arm for the raven to land on. As he took the letter from the raven and glanced at it he sighed annoyed.

Roku promised to send letters but so far had only sent one back, and now the next letter he sent wasn't even for him.

In bold kanji on the front of the letter was the words, "DONT OPEN – FOR KUSHINA"

He sighed before setting off toward the center of the village. And as he neared the Uzumaki house he noticed the Anbu watching in the shadows.

With a woosh an Anbu appeared to stop him but Shisui just stepped beside him. He knew the Anbu wouldn't dare to attack him.

If it had been a year ago Shisui would have been much more respectful to the Hokage's Anbu but after hearing the future from Roku he had little to no love for them. He knew that the Anbu definitely participated in the clan massacre.

Just then a Root Anbu appeared to stop Shisui. As the Root Anbu acted to stop him Shisui looked back and activated his sharingan. Just as the air tensed a silver haired Anbu appeared to stop them. "Shisui, what do you need?"

Shisui then turned to Kakashi and let out a tsk, he then handed him a letter. "Here tell Kushina it's from Roku."

Shisui then turned away without a second thought, he knew Kakashi and trusted him. If even Kakashi couldn't be trusted to keep Kushina's privacy then no one could.

As Kakashi glanced at Shisui fading back he sighed, after the village segregated the Uchiha tensions had risen. Even Shisui, the grandson of Kagami, was dissatisfied.

As he looked at the envelope he turned towards Kushina's house. As the Root ninja hesitated and thought about stopping him he stopped. He didn't have any chance to stop him, especially with Kushina so near.

As Kakashi knocked on Kushina's door he heard her yell out, "Coming!"

As Kushina opened the door and saw Kakashi she smiled, "Hi Kakashi-Kun how are you?"

Kakashi sighed in annoyance, "Kushina-sama i told you to not call me by my name when i am working"

Kushina glared and swatted him on the head, "I told you not to call me Sama!"

Kakashi sighed before handing over the letter, "Here its from Roku"

After hearing that a happy expression crossed her face, over the past 2 weeks Roku had only sent her one letter. She was happy to get another one, she then took the note and looked at it.

As Kakashi walked away towards the shadows, Kushina glanced at him before sighing. Kakashi had gone through a lot and now was even more withdrawn, she was worried for him.

She then opened the note and her eyes widened before she shut the door.

In the note Roku explained the process of them finding Kaho and how they had gone to the Whirlpool Village. Kushina began to cry at the thought of having another clan member, but as she read on she gasped.

She had heard of that Library from Mito, apparently even Mito hadn't been allowed in. She then ran inside and began to look through old notes from Mito. As she looked over the diaries and documents and began to write her return letter.
