after spending a few days with my parents before school began Dave had gathered all of his things that he would need for his new life in the dorms, this being quite a small amount due to his ability to create anything he needed once he was there
packing everything into the back of the car the whole family set off for the school, Sapphire coming too this time so that she could see where Dave was going to be staying so that she would know where he was staying for when she would visit in the future and to give herself peace of mind knowing it wasn't a bad place
"wow, this place is astounding, and to think my Dave was able to place second in a place like this, I'm so proud of you" she said hugging Dave
"mom you've said a hundred times over the last few days that you're proud of me, I get it already" chuckled Dave as he hugged her back
"well that just goes to show how proud of you I am" she huffed
"alright dear let the boy go, he's got to lead us to his room" chimed in Richard as he got the bags out of the back of the car
"oh right" responded Sapphire "I need to see Dave's room and introduce myself to his neighbour, I even brought a pie as a gift for her, she did give Dave one of those pills which he shared with you so it's only right we give her something in return, I even made sure that it was a blueberry pie so that it would match her well" she said proudly
"I'm sure she'll enjoy it" said Dave while thinking in the back of his mind "she probably won't be to thrilled about the color but due to moms cooking skills combined with using the berries I generated I'm sure she won't mind it as I know from personal experience that it tastes amazing"
"so lead the way son" said Richard
"ok" replied Dave "it's this way" he said leading them towards the red phoenix building
arriving at his room Dave opened it up to let his parents in
"Dave dear this room is incredible, it's almost as big as the first floor of our house" exclaimed Sapphire as she looked around
"you've done well for yourself" chuckled Richard as he ruffled Dave's hair
all of a sudden a knock was heard and everyone turned around to see Azura in the doorway
"it's a pleasure to meet you, you must be Dave's parents, my name is Azura Inferno, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance" she said curtseying to them
"oh my what a well behaved young lady, my name is Sapphire and this is my husband Richard, it's an honor to meet someone of your status" she replied as she curtseyed back trying to copy Azura "I hope you don't mind but I brought a gift for you, I heard your family has a connection to the color blue so I made you a blueberry pie, I hope it's to your tastes" she siad as she produced the pie
a flicker of disgust crossed Azura's face as she didn't actually like blueberries as she had eaten them more times than she could count but made sure to keep up her noble facade "thank you, I will be sure to sample it later, as a return gift for you please allow me to give you these" she said producing some pills "they will allow you to increase your fitness and magical reserves just by taking one
"ah yes, Dave gave me one of the stamina ones, they taste quite nice, thank you very much ms Inferno" replied Richard as they took the pills
"are you sure it's ok to give us something so precious, Dave told us you had lots of them but I feel bad that we only prepared you something as simple as a pie" Sapphire asked
"it doesn't matter to me, my father has always insisted that I follow the concept of noblesse oblige so it would not matter even if you had brought nothing as it is my duty to make things better for those who are not in as good a situation as I am" Azura stated
"you are such a kind child" smiled Sapphire as she ate the 2 pills "if there is anyway that we can repay you in the future feel free to ask"
"I will keep that in mind, now I will not interupt you any further, good day to you all" Azura stated as she returned to her own room
"such a nice young lady, you must make sure to become good friends with her in the future" Sapphire told to Dave
"yeah" chimed in his dad "and not just because these pills taste delicious" he chuckled
"ok mom, ok dad" Dave sighed as they started putting the stuff away in the draws
"oh, before we forget, we got you a present" Sapphire remebered suddenly producing a small package
"what is it" asked Dave as he recieved it
"well you won't know until you open it will you" teased Richard
opening it revealed a brand new phone
"tada" exclaimed Sapphire "this way we can keep in touch with you even while you're here" she smiled
"mom, dad, I don't know what to say" said Dave in shock, happy because he knew that getting a phone as new as the one they had got him was not going to be cheap
"you got into a magic school and even placed second in the entire year, it's only right we treat you" said Richard "also this way your mother will feel better about you being here"
"dear you didn't need to tell him that" she said smacking him playfully before turning to Dave "we're just so proud of you" she smiled
"thanks mom" Dave said hugging them both, grateful for how they did all this for him, just enjoying hugging both of them in his new room.
