After the lesson came to an end Azura walked by Dave's side as they made their way back to the dorms for lunch, Azura struggling to keep up her noble airs as she looked forward to the food that Dave was going to make for her today only to be blocked by a group of 3 students
"Can we help you?" asked Dave, getting the feeling that this wasn't going to end without being a pain but asking anyway
"Yes you can" sneered one of the boys on one side "you can start by getting on your knees and bowing when you talk to us"
"Than you can get lost, we don't have any buisness with commoners like you" said the boy on the other side
"Azura, it is good to see you again" said the boy in the middle proudly "although you have improved in terms of your physique and magic it seems like your choice in company has fallen greatly, a boy such as him doesn't deserve to stand by your side" he smiled "please leave him behind and join us for a meal, our houses have always been good friends and I wish to ensure that you do not fraternize with people who are not worthy of your status, lest your father hears of this"
"Grady, althouugh I am thankful for your concern" Azura replied with a forced smile "My colleague here was the second place scorer in the exam making it so that he only lost to me, unlike you who I heard barely passed the fitness exam while only getting average scores in the magical exam making it so that my father would accept a person such as him due to his potential" she retorted "also I have hired him as my personal chef so I am afraid I must decline your invitation to eat with you" she bowed politely, sticking her tongue out as she did in a way that Grady wouldn't be able to see
"A commoner making food, it seems like your taste in food is as bad as your taste in company" said the boy on the right
"Now now Owen, so long as Azura likes it that is her choice" commented the other boy almost as if he was defending Dave before continuing "maybe she likes the taste of mud and insects" he grinned viciously
"Patrick, it is not right to insult Azura like that, it is obvious the reason that she eats the food is because she supplies the ingredients and that she must not have a servant due to some family circumstances and that he is only in this position due to ease of access for her due to the 2 of them living next to each other in the dorms" Grady claimed with an evil smile
"Would you like to keep talking?" asked Azura with a smile that didn't reach her eyes as a blue flame appeared in her hand "because if you continue I will take your words as an insult to myself and my family and will have to reciprocate in kind" the flame growing even bigger with her obvious rage
"You would go against us for a commoner such as him?" Grady asked in anger
"You have insulted me by insulting him, and as such you have insulted the Inferno name, I suggest you leave as if anything was to happen here I am sure that my father would defend my decision and that the friendship between our families would not stop him from going to your family to understand why such a problem occured in the first place" Azura warned them, the three boys taking a step back in fear
"Just make sure that you don't regret making such a decision" Grady said as he lead his colleagues away
Azura only pulled a face at him while his back was turned as he walked off "oh thank god he's finally gone" she sighed "having to deal with that guy is a pain in the butt"
"An old friend" Dave asked
"Friend is way to strong a word, he is an old acquaintance at best" she groaned "I had to deal with him all the time when we were kids as he is one of the kids from the noble families who live in the same city as my family meaning when I was made to go to formal functions I would always run into him and he always acted as if we were close friends, he always had a really haughty and superior attitude that I hated but I needed to keep up my noble facade and 'play nice' with him" Azura groaned
"I'm glad I never had to deal with someone like that when I was younger" Dave chuckled
"You should be" Azura giggled before her stomach growled "now less talking more making food, I need something tasty to take my mind off of what just happened"
"Any preferences for what you want today" Dave asked
"Just the usual" Azura smiled "nothing covered in blue food colouring, other than that I just want food, all the stuff you make is amazing, now less talking more making me food" she said pulling Dave along with her to her room.
