Phoenix dived in deeper. The dark blue ocean filled her eyes, her clothes already soaked and her face smiling. She drew deeper and deeper until the figure of a dragon came into being.
The dragon coiled around itself, scales ran throughout the body, and a mighty wing rested on his back. Its white eyes turned over to Phoenix, and it let a large roar.
Phoenix murmured. 'Just one…disappointing.'
Immediately, the dragon stretched its body, the scales ran deeper, and around it, the water was instantly condensed into smoke. It coiled round and raised its head towards Phoenix.
Phoenix waited for the dragon to do its thing and the moment she thought it was done, she charged forward once more.
The dragon let out a roar again that shook the ocean. Particles of gold dust shielded the ship from the rushing waves. Moonlight could only feel amazed.
There became a rise in ocean levels as the ocean raged from just the shock of the scream. However, after a second, it stopped and growled, facing Phoenix with a hidden grin.
With a slight move of its body, the ocean cleared.
Swiftly, it reached Phoenix and slowly, its mouth prepared to swallow.
However, Phoenix moved slightly to the left and dodged.
The dragon growled and turned its head. It gritted its teeth and lunged again.
Phoenix simply bent and dodged the onslaught once more.
Still, in motion, the dragon turned once more and attacked with full force. The ocean swirled just by the mere increase in the speed of the dragon. It moved snake-like.
It continued, accelerated times twenty of its original speed and moved so fast, the ocean itself could not keep up. The scales raised high and behind, a shockwave followed.
Phoenix turned slightly back and sighed. She raised her hands perfectly parried the dragon's attack, hence, swerving it to her right.
"Weak…" She murmured. The ocean absorbed her voice in small packets of bubbles.
She shook her head and scratched her long slick black hair. Her eyes went down in disappointment as she watched the dragon drift away from her.
Therefore, she raised her left hand and a circle formed directly on it. She fired a bolt of lightning at the dragon.
The dragon regained consciousness as it has been electrocuted by the lightning. Bubbles formed around it and again, it raised its head and its eyes were dead centered on Phoenix.
The dragon growled.
Its body underwent a transformation once more, the scales rested, the wings into fins, and the entire body, took a snake like physique while still maintaining its draconic aura and appearance.
The dragon wasted no time and attacked again. Its snake-like body moved swiftly through the current of deep sea.
Phoenix dodged, but the dragon continued.
Series of attacks came from the dragon, each carrying thousand times the strength and speed of the previous, and each never touched Phoenix once. Phoenix still held a sly grin on her lips and hints of overconfidence exuded her body like a perfume.
However, she then realized, she was already in its palm.
The dragon entire body swirled around her like a predator holding its prey. Each path her eyes met were already under the dragon's domain. The dragon growled happy that one could feel its voice grinning.
'Forgot this thing was like a thousand times my size...' Phoenix thought.
Then, the dragon stopped after making sure Phoenix was called already on hold. It opened its mouth and streams of condensed energy flowed in and formed into a ball.
Phoenix readied her hands and once again created another circle on her palm.
Immediately, the dragon shot.
The force moved hundred faster times the speed of sound, therefore, clearing the ocean with its aim directly at Phoenix.
Phoenix stretched her hand and they clashed.
