Chapter 1 - Episode 1: A New Roommate

Place: Chiang Mai, Bangkok City

Packing the suitcase meant stepping into a new journey — a new high school, new dreams, and a completely unfamiliar life.

There he was — a boy struggling to lift his own suitcase.

"Ah! Why is this suitcase so heavy? Maybe my mother had put a brick inside it."

He stopped dramatically in the middle of the pathway, glaring at the suitcase like it had personally betrayed him.

"Unbelievable. First day and I'm already suffering."

He looked around.

Where was On?

He checked the time. Then again. Then again.

"One hour. I waited for ONE HOUR."

Just as he was about to explode, On finally appeared, walking casually like nothing was wrong.

"Hi!"

"You absolute idiot! Why didn't you come pick me up?! I've been waiting here like an abandoned child!"

On burst out laughing. "Relax. I didn't know you'd come this early."

"Early? I came on time!"

"Time is relative," On replied calmly.

Spark stared at him.

"I will end this friendship today."

After taking Spark to the faculty office, On showed him the dorm and the room he had to live in until his high school was over.

Spark glanced around the room.

"Wait a minute… don't you think there are two beds?"

After seeing those two beds, On replied, "Why not? You have to live with your roommate. Don't think that you are going to live alone."

On grinned. "Dorm rules. No one lives alone."

Spark looked personally offended.

"I value my privacy."

Before On could stop him, Spark stormed out of the room like a dramatic protagonist in a tragic drama.

As Spark rushed inside the manager's room, he saw a fat man eating cookies and watching a drama on his phone.

"Hey, Manager!"

The manager was shocked to see him. He quickly put his phone and cookies aside, though crumbs were still left in his mouth.

"What, huh? Why did you come here, dashing like a rollercoaster?"

"In this faculty, is it important to have a roommate?" Spark asked, making a disgusted face.

"Yes, everyone must have one roommate for them. No one lives alone," the manager replied.

"But I don't want any roommate. They can invade my privacy," Spark said stubbornly.

After hearing this, the manager became angry and threw him out of the room.

"Go and make your own private faculty if you don't want a roommate!"

Back in the room, he aggressively arranged his clothes, slammed drawers shut, and muttered to himself.

"Sharing a room. With a stranger. What if he snores? What if he steals my snacks? What if he breathes too loudly?"

He collapsed onto the bed.

"Why is my life like this…"

"Fuck… why do I have to share my room with a stranger?"

Suddenly, the doorbell rang.

He slowly got up, walking to the door like a ghost who had given up on existence.

He opened it.

And then—

He blinked.

A tall boy stood in front of him.

Neatly dressed. Calm expression. Headphones resting around his neck. One hand casually in his pocket.

He looked… annoyingly good.

Spark narrowed his eyes.

"Who the hell are you?"

The boy didn't answer.

Instead, he stepped inside like he already owned the place.

Spark's jaw dropped.

"Excuse me?! I asked you something!"

The boy finally turned around.

His voice was calm. Too calm.

"I'm your new roommate and my name is Day."

Silence.

Spark's brain stopped working for exactly three seconds.

"This is going to be a disaster."

To be continued…
