Chapter 19 - The Mask of Professor Zayan

A deep conflict bound Zavian and Kalene leaving them restless one troubling question echoed in their minds why did Xavier attack Sheyaan what does he really want frome her ?

From Xavier's words, it was clear that he was Zavian's greatest and most ruthless enemy, but the reason behind his hatred and targeting Sheyaan… that remained an unsolved mystery.

Kalene, who was standing very close to Zavian, said in a deep and worried voice,

"King Zavian… we need to speak with the king Demon. Please don't overthink this. If he attacks Sheyaan again, she might not survive. We must act quickly."

Zavian, whose eyes reflected both anger and concern, thought for a moment and then said in a firm tone,

"Alright, Kalene. We must talk to him."

Kalene immediately said.

"Please sit down. I'll lock the door so that no one can enter."

Zavian silently nodded and sat on the bed. Kalene quickly locked the door and returned, asking,

"King Zavian, are you ready?"

"Yes, begin," Zavian replies in a low, hushed voice.

Kalene sat on a chair placed near the bed. He moved his hand over the table, and suddenly a deep red light burst out from his hand, flickering like lightning.

As soon as the light touched the table, a blank sheet of paper appeared. In the corner of the paper, written in bold letters, were the words.

"Demon Empire."

At the same time, Zavien extended his hand forward. The red light emerging from his hand formed a strange pen. The pen looked extremely mysterious.

its upper part resembled a dark tower, while the lower part looked like a normal pen with the word "Demon" written on it.

Zavian handed the pen to Kalene and said in a serious voice,

"Take it… and begin immediately."

With a signal from Zavian's deep red eyes, all the lights in the room went out. Thick darkness spread everywhere. Using the mysterious pen, Kalene began writing on the paper. The ink flowing from the pen was blood-red in color.

Kalene wrote:

"King Demon, we need to speak with you urgently."

As soon as he finished writing, the words erased themselves from the paper. Zavian and Kalene looked at each other seriously, as if waiting for the reply of the angel of death.

After a short while, a red light flashed on the paper and began to swirl like a small storm. From within that storm, words emerged and started forming on one side of the paper:

"Speak, Zavian… what is the matter? What do you want to talk to us about?"

Kalene looked at the words appearing on the paper and immediately turned toward Zavian, saying,

"King Zavian, you may speak now."

Zavian stared at the paper with his deep eyes and said to Kalene,

"Write exactly what I say, alright?"

Kalene respectfully nodded his head. Zavian began dictating in a thunderous voice:

"Write… we need to talk about Xavier. King Demon, why did Xavier come to the human world? Today, he did something that goes against the laws of our Demon Empire.

He spoke to me in a raised voice and attacked an innocent human without any reason. What do you have to say about this?"

Kalene carefully etched every word onto the blank paper. The moment he placed the full stop after the last word, all the words trembled like lightning and vanished from the paper.

A terrifying silence filled the room. Restlessly, Zavian began rubbing his jawline with one hand, while Kalene's eyes remained fixed on the paper.

Suddenly, lightning flashed across the paper again, and a small storm rose. From within that storm, words began forming on one side of the paper. Zavian and Kalene held their breath as they read:

"You are absolutely right, Zavian. We will surely punish Xavier. He attempted to kill his King and attacked a human without reason. You do your duty properly, Zavian… we will handle Xavier here."

Reading this message, Zavian let out a long, exhausted breath. He clasped both his hands together and buried his face in

them, as if a massive burden had finally been lifted from his shoulders.

Encouraging him, Kalene said,

"King Zavian, please do not worry. He will not come here again. Now, focus on gathering your 'Souls.'"

In a low voice, Zavian said .

"Alright… now go and rest."

"Alright, King Zavian. You should rest too," Kalene said respectfully, bowing his head before leaving the room.

As soon as Kalene left, Zavian snapped his fingers, and the lights in the room turned back on.

Exhausted, Zavian lay down on his bed. At that very moment, a mysterious shadow passed outside his room.

But Zavian did not notice it because he had closed his eyes though sleep was still far from him.

After a while, he opened his eyes and stared at the ceiling, releasing a deep breath. In a cold, trembling voice, he said,

"Sheyaan… you are my priority. As long as you are alive, I will remain alive."

Saying this, Zavian closed his eyes again. Just as sleep began to take over, the same dark shadow passed outside the door once more.

This time, it stopped there and began peering into Zavian's room from beneath the door…

It was morning, and the first ray of sunlight fell directly on Zavian's face. Zavian slowly opened his eyes and groaned irritably,

"Aahhh… I absolutely hate this sunlight!"

A stubborn morning ray pierced through the curtains and launched a direct "laser attack" on Zavian's eyes. Zavian, who had been used to darkness for centuries, got annoyed.

Sitting on the bed, rubbing his eyes, he looked toward the window. He pointed his finger at the sun as if he were about to arrest it and said angrily,

"Hey! Listen up, you 'Yellow Disco Ball'!" Zavien gave an angry smile.

"Do you think you're the don of the 'Solar System'? How dare you enter my room without my permission?"

Zavien's anger looked like that of a child.

Taking a deep breath and fixing his hair, Zavian said,

"If it were up to me, I'd cut off your 'recharge' completely! I'd throw a huge 'black blanket' over you and drain all your power from the outlet. You'd be left up there as nothing but a 'broken bulb'!"

"Poor humans are foolish enough to roam around wearing 'sunglasses' in front of you. I'd paint you black and turn you into 'coal.' Because of you, my sleep is ruined today," Zavian was completely furious.

Saying this, Zavian extended one hand and waved it left and right. As soon as he moved his hand, the heavy curtains on the large window closed.

Zavian gave a winner's smile and was about to go freshen up, muttering, when a voice came from behind,

"Boss, who were you talking to so angrily?"

Zavian turned toward Kalene angrily and said,

"Kalene, do you want the volcano boiling inside me to erupt on you?"

Kalene, suppressing his laughter, replied,

"No Boss, I just came to wake you up. Please come outside quickly."

Zavian said.

"You go. I'm coming."

Kalene left, laughing.

When Zavian stepped out of his room, he saw Younshu on the phone, pleading desperately with someone.

Younshu was saying,

"Alright, can you prepare a student for university admission within two or three months? And yes, you'll have to come to the student's house for studies."

From the other side of the phone came a cold voice,

"Sorry, coming to the student's house isn't possible. Please hire another professor."

With that, the call was disconnected.

Younshu kept speaking,

"Hey… at least listen to me… please!"

When he looked at the screen, he realized the call had ended. He collapsed onto the sofa in worry and shouted,

"Aahhh! What do I do now? Where am I supposed to find a good professor?"

Walking through the corridor, Zavian looked at Kalene and said,

"Kalene, I want coffee."

Kalene immediately went to make it.

Sitting on the sofa, Zavian asked Younshu in his cold voice,

"Younshu, what happened? You seem very worried."

Younshu sat up straight and replies.

"Yes… I am worried. I need a professor who can confirm a student's admission within two or three months, but I can't find anyone!"

Kalene handed Zavian his coffee and asked,

"Younshu, whose admission are you trying to arrange?"

From the side, Alisha joked,

"I think Younshu wants to take a lesson from a professor for what he did last night!"

Younshu made a face and said,

"That's not true, Alisha! I'm genuinely worried. If my Boss finds out that I couldn't find a professor, what will he think? My Boss is very strict and short-tempered."

Kalene asked in surprise,

"But you used to praise your Boss a lot, didn't you?"

Younshu replied sadly,

"My old Boss died of a heart attack. The new Boss is his son. He's very short-tempered."

Alisha asked,

"And what is your new Boss's name?"

Younshu replies.

"My new Boss's name is Fangxi."

"Fangxi!"

The moment Zavian heard that name, his hands froze. He was shocked. Raising his eyes, he asked in a deep, serious voice,

"What name did you just say?"

Younshu repeated,

"The name is Fangxi. He does everything on time and is quite strict."

Kalene looked at Zavian and said softly,

"Boss, this name sounds familiar…"

Zavian took a sip of coffee with a mysterious smile and said,

"Younshu, you need a professor, right?"

Younshu looked at him with hopeful eyes,

"Yes, I really do!"

Sipping his coffee, Zavian replies.

"Consider it done. You've found the most handsome and best professor in the world. Tell your Boss that the work is done."

Younshu said in shock,

"But… where is the professor? What's his name? I'll have to show his identity to my Boss too."

Zavian placed his coffee cup on the table and looked at everyone before saying in a mysterious voice,

"Zayan… the professor's name is Zayan."

The moment that name was spoken, silence fell over the room. Kalene Alisha and younshu stood frozen their eyes fixed on Zavian kalene clearly sensed that a new game tied to love and death was about to unfold.
