Xavier had already disappeard from the room yet the terror in his words refused to fade on unnatural silence took over cold and hollow offering no sense of peace.
The moment Zavian looked at Sheyaan, his heart skipped a beat. Sheyaan was clutching her neck tightly with both hands, gently rubbing it. She was breathing rapidly and heavily, as if she were suffocating.
Her eyes were completely red from crying and pain, and she lay on the bed, trembling restlessly.
Zavian did not waste a single moment. He rushed to Sheyaan's side and looked at her with deep, serious eyes.
Supporting her, he gently helped her sit up and moved one hand from her head down to half of her body.
A deep red light began to flow from Zavian's hand, completely covering half of Sheyaan's body. This was not an ordinary light it was his healing power.
As soon as Zavian withdrew his hand, Sheyaan's body relaxed. She returned to normal and began to breathe calmly again, though tears still lingered on her face.
When Sheyaan opened her eyes and looked at Zavian, she was shocked. Slowly sitting up, she asked in a trembling voice,
"Ho...How did you get here? You're the sa...same person who helped me at the hospital too, right?"
Zavian replied in his deep, cold voice,
"Yes. I'm the same one."
Then, looking into Sheyaan's eyes with a mysterious expression, he asked,
"Are you not sure whether I am the same person or not?"
Hesitating, Sheyaan replied,
"Yes… I know… Yo...You are the same person. I...I..
just… wanted to confirm…"
Zavian seemed a little calmer, but the firmness in his voice remained. He asked,
"Do you remember all your memories? You haven't forgotten anything, have you?"
Looking at Zavian with gentle eyes, Sheyaan softly replied,
"Yes… I remember everything."
A strange mix of relief and curiosity appeared on Zavian's face as he asked,
"And what exactly are all those things you
Completely shocked sheyaan asked but why are you asking me these things these are the kinds of questions someone with a special connection would ask.
At her question, Zavian let out a faint smile and said,
"No, I just asked casually."
But behind that smile, a deep pain was hidden. Zavian was now completely certain that Sheyaan only remembered the things told to her by her family and Fangxi.
She had completely forgotten the beautiful moments she had once shared with Zavian.
Sheyaan asked in confusion,
"But why do you help me? And how did you know that I was in trouble?"
In the same cold voice, yet with a human tone, Zavian replied,
"The one above always sends a guardian angel for someone."
Saying this, Zavian turned to leave. But suddenly, Sheyaan rushed forward and grabbed his hand. Looking into his eyes, she said,
"But… you don't look like an angel."
Hearing this, Zavian's moving steps came to a halt. Sheyaan's voice echoed throughout the room. Zavian turned back and looked at her carefully before saying in a mysterious voice,
"You are forgetting something, and you will remember it very soon."
Then Zavian took a deep breath. Sliding both his hands into his pockets, he looked at Sheyaan and whispered softly. Stepping back, he said,
"I will wait for that day, Sheyaan…"
As soon as he said this, Zavian disappeared before Sheyaan's eyes in a cloud of black smoke.
Sheyaan's gaze remained fixed on the exact spot where he had been standing just moments ago.
Sheyaan fell back into deep thought. She picked up the glass of water kept on the table and drank it in one go. As she placed the glass down,
Zavian's words kept echoing in her mind. She frowned slightly and asked herself,
"What… am I forgetting? And what is it that I'm supposed to remember?"
Lost in these thoughts, she lay down on the bed, and after a while, she fell asleep.
On the other side, when Zavian reached his penthouse, all the corridor lights were off. Deep darkness surrounded the place,
and nothing was visible. Zavian had just stepped forward when suddenly someone tightly grabbed both of his hands from behind.
A deep, threatening voice echoed near his ear,
"Who are you? Tell me… or today will be your last day here!"
Hearing this, Zavian turned red with anger. Someone was threatening death to the one who delivers death?
In a single jerk, Zavian freed himself, turned around swiftly, and twisted that person's arms behind his back.
He forced the man to bend forward and roared,
"So today, you dared to threaten death to the one who gives death?"
Zavien twisted his arms with such force that the man screamed in pain,
"Aahhhh! Leave me! What are you doing? Someone help!"
As soon as the scream echoed through the corridor, the penthouse lights turned on. Kalene and Alisha were standing in front of them. They shouted in panic,
"Hey! What are you doing? Leave him, he's Younshu!"
Hearing Younshu's name, Zavian froze in shock. He instantly let go of him, causing Younshu to fall straight onto the floor.
"Aahhh! Why did you let...go so suddenly? I'm hurt!"
Younshu groaned in pain.
Alisha and Kalene rushed over and helped Younshu up.
"Younshu, are you okay?" they asked together.
Holding his arm, Younshu sat on the sofa and said,
"Where did you two disappear? I almost lost my breath!"
Then, making a teary face, he looked at Zavian and said,
"How are you so strong? I can't even feel my bones!"
Kalene said worriedly,
"Boss, what did you do? He's in a lot of pain."
Zavien was still a little stunned. In his cold voice, he replied,
"He threatened to kill me, so I lost my temper. I didn't know he'd pull such a stunt standing behind me."
Younshu complained tearfully,
"Couldn't you even recognize my voice? What kind of person are you, forgetting your own friend's voice?"
Zavien pointed a finger at Younshu and said in a harsh tone,
"There's no melody in your voice worth remembering. Your voice is like a bell that gives everyone a headache, understood?
Don't ever pull something like this again. This time you couldn't feel your bones next time, you'll clearly see them scattered into pieces… and then you can sit there counting them!"
Saying this, Zavian walked toward his room with full attitude. Younshu, Kalene, and Alisha stood there watching him go.
Alisha scolded Younshu,
"What was the need for such a prank? You ended up getting yourself hurt. Come on, I'll put a bandage on you."
While leaving, Younshu said to Kalene,
"Kalene, explain to your Boss that he shouldn't do this again!"
Kalene said suppressing his laughter,
"Alright, I'll explain."
But from behind, Alisha shouted,
"Younshu! You're the one who needs to learn, understood?"
Everyone went to their respective rooms, and Kalene walked toward Zavian's room with a smile.
Kalene knocked on the door of Zavian's room from outside and asked respectfully,
"Boss, may I come in?"
From inside, a deep, irritated, and heavy voice replied,
"If I say 'no,' will you really not come in?"
With a slight smile, Kalene entered and said,
"I will come in anyway, Boss! Because in this entire world, I'm the only one who takes care of you the best."
Zavian looked at him with mild irritation and said,
"Speak… what do you want?"
Kalene's expression suddenly turned serious. In a low voice, he asked,
"Boss, where did you go so suddenly? Did you go to that girl. Sheyaan? What happened there with her?"
Zavian took a deep, angry breath and said,
"This time, Kalene, it wasn't a human who tried to hurt Sheyaan… it was a Demon from our own Empire."
Hearing this, Kalene's eyes widened in shock. He asked, stunned,
"What? But who was it, King Zavian?"
In a hard and terrifying voice, Zavian said.
"It was Xavier."
The moment Kalene heard Xavier's name, he was completely shaken. Fear was clearly visible on his face. In a trembling voice, he said,
"Boss… we will have to talk to the 'king Demon '! Why did he attack Sheyaan? This matter is getting more serious."
Zavian's eyes suddenly turned red, and in his true Demon Voice, he roared,
"He tried to erase me… and I will make sure he pays for it!"
Worried, Kalene raised his voice and replies.
"King Zavian! Then we must contact the king Demon immediately. If he tries something like this again, the consequences could be disastrous!"
Kalene's anxious voice filled the room echoing against the walls untill nothing remained but the quiet warning of a storm drawing near.
