It's again 14 February.
Everywhere you go you will see couples lovey dovey. I don't want to see them, a constant reminder of my single failure life .
Albert Earnest , not a perticular flashy name right . I am eighteen , just out of my highschool. I am worried, what I am supposed to be doing now .
College? I had already applied to Riston but what after that . I am just a over thinker teenager.
Medical colleges ,engineering colleges , general academic colleges... I can feel pressure aunts, uncles, neigbours and then friends. It's too much . I feel like I should head to the mountains and become a monk that would be much satisfying life. I should not overthink or I would ruin this imagination of perfect life.
"Are you hearing. Lilly! "
She quickly managed her thoughts and looked at me.
"You look lost in mind ,you had already sip up two cups of boba . I might also be in fault , I was just constantly blabbering my life . I had no plan for going outside today but thanks for inviting and treating me , you are my bestie."
Lilly Leonheart,my childhood friend . We were friends from when we were in dipers . She was extroverted and I was introverted . She always dragged me out to play , to engage in school events , to join friend groups. We send Insta reels to eachother all day long. I only had a private account with very few followers that I can easily count them in my fingers .She is one of the follower and others are classmates who had found my id through her . Her presence had made my life better.

"Yeah , Matthew Hood form Riston college second year confessed to me after intra district badminton tournament. We were in same team. I don't know him a lot but he seems nice so I said yes . "
I was feeling happy for my friend but a pang of disappointment, was eating me from inside. It was a feeling like I am about to lose someone important and I am going to say goodbye. I can understand that things are going to change from now on it won't be like how it use to be in past.
" Congrats Lilly, you had taken a big step up , I hope your date will go well . So I am only left single now ha ha ha ." Awkward laugh.
"Albert you can also do it ." She replied hesitantly .
"From now on we might not meet that frequently or go out and have fun but we will be friends. I hope you won't be sad "

" Albert you are the best. We won't be totally cut out after all we are going to the same college Riston college."

She left the cafe happily .
I was left pondering and processing. It felt like I was in a raft led by someone else for so long and now I am left in the ocean. I looked at my surroundings tables, they were filled with couples. I felt awkward and jealous . I quickly left the cafe .
Weakening of friendship also feels like breakup I don't know why but it feels same just a little bit milder. If I was bold I might have a girlfriend already.
In a blue and pink matching clothes a cuple was waking down the path .
"Anthony it's you?!"
"Albert what are you doing outside, I didn't expect a single like you to be roaming outside. I am going out with my girlfriend she is Sofia. She is the greatest beauty in the whole City . Don't even try to look at her in eye. "
He chukled and said
"I heard that Lilly is dating a senior now , you must miserable . I don't have time to waste on you. Leave the way."
His words stings like walking on needles. As they were leaving Sofia justice take a glance of me. Her glance was cold calculating and analysing .
I quickly dashed , I ran through narrow allies and come back to my neighbourhood.
A truck on loading furniture and luggage .A new family is moving in ?! Whatever I don't have anything to do with that . I just entered my house.
Mom and dad were paking some luggage.
"Albert where you were for all this morning. Remember we told you that me and your dad will be out for a week. Take the house keys . We will be leaving the house on your hands. Don't make mess .
"I am a grown up now, you don't have to dictate everything"
"That's my baby alealele..kuchkuchkuch.... If any issues don't hesitate to call us during these days we will try to quickly come back."
Mom entered there bedroom for finishing paking.
Dad was coming downstairs from upper dressing room probability was getting ready there. In the second floor there are only two bedrooms one is for guest and another one is mine other rooms are a library, a bathroom, a dressing room and stairs for terrace . We had a terrace garden. Our kitchen, living room, mom dad bedroom main bathroom with bathtub and shower, and storage room and garage were in the ground floor.
" Albert don't cause any problematic incidents, we are leaving the house in your hands with lots of trust don't burnt it down. For this few days you're free to do whatever you want to do in the house just don't create any problematic situation be responsible. Take this card you can spend responsibly but don't empty the account."
"Honey every thing is ready we can set out now."
" Your mom is calling, I should go. "
As we come in the garage and they hop into the car and about to set out mom said "Don't forget to eat on time and sleep early, okay."
"Okay mom , I won't make you worry ."
They set out.
I am now alone in the house. I grab a pack of chips and cola and started watching TV.
I was pondering about the things what happened today and suddenly the door bell ring. There was a girl probably of my age standing in front of the door with the basket in hand.
