Just as the car was set down for escape, Obadiah grabbed another speeding motorcycle—careless if the unlucky rider crashed to his death.
The motorcycle smashed into a nearby bus, sending Tony crashing against it.
Before Tony could even get up, the Iron Tyrant leapt with his heavy frame, stomping on the Mark 2 armor. One stomp wasn't enough—he raised his right foot and slammed down two more times.
"Feeling the difference in our strength now, Tony? Oh man, I love this armor!" he shouted, picking Tony up and hurling him toward a nearby bus.
The bus crumpled like tin foil. Luckily, the passengers had already evacuated when the fight began, or this strike could have killed many.
Tony knew how crowded it was; any battle here could endanger countless civilians.
He scrambled up and, before Obadiah could strike again, channeled all remaining energy into the thrusters. Four jets of fire erupted from his hands and feet, propelling Mark 2 skyward.
"Tony, looks like you upgraded your suit. Too bad—I've also made some changes to mine!" Obadiah's voice echoed as two smoke-and-fire trails shot from the Iron Tyrant's feet, lifting him into the air.
By speed alone, Mark 2 shouldn't have stood a chance—but the Iron Tyrant had a new reactor, while Tony's was old and nearly depleted.
As they rose higher, Mark 2 began to be overtaken.
"Energy below 12%!"
"Energy below 9%!"
J.A.R.V.I.S. continued alerting Tony.
"Don't speak—just display it!" Tony barked, focusing on altitude calculations. He needed to see if he could freeze the Iron Tyrant and land safely.
Clang!
Metal collided. Tony's ascent paused—Iron Tyrant had grabbed his ankle.
"Damn it!" Tony cursed. Iron Tyrant yanked him closer, large hands squeezing the armor's neck like a grown man holding a baby.
Good news: the Iron Tyrant was beginning to ice over, but their altitude continued to climb.
"See, Tony? I'm stronger and more powerful—this is maximizing the Ark Reactor!" Obadiah boasted.
Tony relaxed slightly, asking, "Oh? And how do you deal with the icing problem?"
At this extreme height, Iron Tyrant could barely support himself. His chest reactor sputtered and dimmed.
"You might want to check your systems!" Tony tapped the Iron Tyrant's head lightly. Deprived of power, the armored giant fell helplessly toward the ground.
Tony exhaled in relief. With energy nearly gone, he could no longer fly normally—he free-fell, using thrusters sporadically to slow his descent. He crashed through the rooftop railing and finally landed safely on Stark Industries' roof, rolling across the surface.
"Thank God," he muttered, immediately contacting Pepper Potts.
"Tony, you okay?" she asked, terrified after witnessing the airborne battle.
"I'm fine… but out of power. Need to get the armor off!"
Before he could finish, Iron Tyrant leapt onto the roof, punching Tony aside. Fortunately, he didn't crush him; like before, he recovered mid-air and returned.
Tony stabilized, raising his left hand to fire the repulsor—but the left hand armor had gone missing. With no choice, he used the remaining energy to jump to the Iron Tyrant's head and punched hard.
"Bam!" The strike barely dented the heavily armored Obadiah.
Again, Iron Tyrant grabbed Tony's waist, preparing to crush him and the suit entirely.
Desperate, Tony ripped some external wiring, exploiting a flaw: the Iron Tyrant's suit was heavy alloy—indestructible yet limited in weapons systems.
Obadiah, realizing this, grabbed Tony by the neck and hurled him again, leaving him completely drained.
Lying on the ground, Tony braced himself as Iron Tyrant prepared another heavy punch.
Then… a small human-sized fist intercepted it.
A dull clash sent a shockwave rippling outward.
"I think you should help me pick out furniture for my new place too, Tony," Qin Xiao said casually, retracting his fist and smiling down at the fallen Tony.
The scene shifted—the arrival of Qin Xiao instantly changed the balance of the fight, signaling that Tony was no longer alone.
