High in the skies having a sight to see many towns and villages along the way and travelling very fast thanks to Jin's mastery of wind but Jin seems to be filled with anger, Gale and Ralian don't know what's happening with Jin.
"Jin do you need any help for comfort" but Jin didn't give a response only focusing on about the stranger Miguel had spoke of.
"Jin if your not going to talk to us then why bring us with you" Jin then stops the current pushing them towards the direction to Alvera still levitating in the air and explains who's was that stranger Miguel met.
"That stranger is none other than Handikiz"
"Wait you mean the known Handikiz the great mage the one you murdered"
"He's not a mage! He's not a mage, but a lying, manipulative, piece of windbag"
"Then how did you know he's alive?"
"Though I thought I killed him by leaving him to burn in rubble. During my time being hunted and some time later had to hide my identity in taverns I overheard some folks that he was revived"
"That can't be right. Resurrection is a crime in Devandia".
However during their time in the skies a fireball was fired towards them, quickly Jin reacted and moved everyone away from the attack dodging the fireball then Jin retaliated summoning a tornado to engulf their attacker immediately being taken cared of.
"Amateurs" but he notice the attack suddenly sprung out of the tornado he creating. Surprised to see someone who was able to get away from his storms easily as there were only a few who could. most and only friends could find a way to avoid his attack. But he suddenly gotten more suspicious of that certain attack. However the thought had to quickly fade as Gale and Ralian are yelling at Jin for their safety.
"Oh sorry, but we shouldn't stay for the skies for long. These people must know who I am"
"Then should we get going to Alvera"
"Can't ever since his death, Alvera has become the home of many mages" after Handikiz death and a new of a great mage many casters such as Jin, are awaiting to be chosen as the new great mage.
"Hey Jin if you say that everyone wants to be the new great mage. Then why don't you become the great mage"
"Why would I be the great mage after that pretender's lies"
Gale and Ralian feeling the anger flowing through Jin decides not to speak of Handikiz any further allowing Jin to comfort himself with cool breeze flying across his face. Flying for a while in the skies they made it towards the road to Alvera but before they can get any further to Alvera, Jin senses someone behind them quickly he reacted pulling out his weapons, then Gale and Ralian do the same. But all they see is nothing, Jin didn't give a second thought, and without hesitation summons wind constructs to find their next attacker then quickly they bolted, running swiftly trying to get away. But their attacker already catches up to them and their attacker is another knight but isn't wearing a helmet on covering her face with a mask drawing her sword towards the three, but Jin recognizes her. From her long yet short brown hair tied, and her cowl as she is mostly wearing armor on her chest, sides, and legs.
"Dani?" "Jin" both were stunned and both proceeded to take off their mask revealing their faces to each other and they both hugged.
"I never thought I'd see you again"
"I know Dani. I know". However they both began to hear more footsteps approaching the four.
"We've been discovered. Quickly follow me" Dani running off to the distance, then the others began to follow her quickly they fled towards a hideout, hidden by the strangers, and hid. Down deeper into the hideout this give plenty of time for Jin and Dani to talk.
"Okay Dani, what's going on"
"Well ever since you left Alvera, they thrown Venny into the dungeon" but she was then cut off by Jin.
"I know that happened. Just tell what in the seven winds happened to Alvera"
Dani then explain to the three about what happened to Alvera for the past ten years.
Every since Jin defeated Venny and gave all the credits to Dani, and soon became the knight captain of 21th Dainsmiths legion shortly after her grandfather unfortunately passed away. The high council wanted to execute Venny but couldn't due to his mastery of blood magic that allows him to quickly increase his strength, but with his left arm decapitated by Jin. They have presume that he is no longer a threat to Alvera and thrown him into the dungeon where he is in there to rot for life. And with the disease Handikiz they needed a new great mage to replace and many tried to become the new great mage, but to no avail they all cannot summon powerful spells without feeling drained unlike Jin and Venny who can use their abilities with ease, until suddenly a strange figure in a robe approaches the high council and demanded to become the great mage, as they shown off their spells and not to show any signs of deprivation the high council were amazed by the shear will and complexity shown by the person's mentality, and was appointed to the new great mage of Alvera.
"So if this person is the new great mage then why are their more mages here"
"They had acted a new law where anyone can use spells" Jin soon glared at Dani.
"Wait you mean to tell me that you were the one who cast that fireball at us" Dani looks down in disgust.
"Nothing seem to faze you Jin"
Jin knew it was Dani to begin with, but he had never expected to see his friend to renowned Captain using magic. "Dani... why?"
"You and Venny were powerful because you use magic. And I felt like a huge burden when I could've done more to help"
"When did this happen"
"It was when you first helped me in catching those bandits" Jin the puts his hand onto Dani's shoulder and begins to tell her, his speech.
"Dani you not a burden. Not to me, nor Venny. Your a vital cause to our gain, without your planning, or strategic plays we would've never known where the bandits were, not without your help" tears soon to spring out of Dani's eyes.
"I'm happy to hear you say that" "me too".
Gale and Ralian feeling awkward by Jin and Dani comforting each other, they decided to wait in another room in the hideout till they are ready to talk to them. But Ralian can see the nervous tension from Gale.
"Gale what's the matter"
"Wh-what do you mean" Gale stuttering on their own words.
"I know that look. Your nervous"
"Well obviously we're in front of an actual knight captain. And I'm a knight"
"You mean a wandering knight"
"Yeah that too"
"Gale I know long enough. To the point you never take off your helmet in front of anyone even me"
The two were talking with one another till Dani and Jin comes into the room to see what are they doing, and Gale humbly stands up and gets into proper formation once Gale sees Dani coming.
"Oh my, didn't know your friend here has such manners"
"Maybe because your a knight captain"
"Perhaps, anyways we should get going"
"Understood" Ralian glared at Jin and Dani for the sudden change tactics.
"What why isn't this hideout safe enough" both the looked at Ralian
"When someone becomes the great mage they get many privileges. But they do get a trinket, an all seeing mirror"
"Never thought I'd hear that again"
Suddenly Jin senses people coming into the hideout "ah windbags we've been found"
"Should we fight?"
"No we just need to neutralize them. It's a good thing you have me right" Ralian goes towards Jin's right shoulder ready to use her magic.
"Don't forget that I can use magic too"
"Of course Ralian how could I forget. Your are a Druid after all" Jin looks towards Dani, and Gale.
"You two need to find an exits before we take care of these mages"
"You got Jin, Gale lets go"
"Yes ma'am"
As Dani and Gale splitting up with Jin and Ralian, the two ready their spells expecting to go all out while facing a horde of mages, and the others finding a short exit out of the hideout before they get caught by the new great mage.
