As Gale and Ralian made there way out of the dungeon making it towards the outside and away from the entrance towards the dungeon. But they were quick to see guards patrolling every part of Alvera swiftly they tried to stay out of sight from the guards and slowly made their way towards the palace in the center of Alvera attempting to pass every guards in sight but first heading behind the tavern walking though alley through alley around Alvera soon making their behind the back entrance of the palace of Alvera.
"I guess this is the place with the lowest guards patrolling right Ralian"
"That's right I did manage to learn how Jin does his reconnaissance when in a new area. By using the nature that exists in this city I can use it as another set of eyes"
"Now that feels scary when every tavern we stay for the night there are always pot of plants. You've could be watching me"
"Don't worry Gale I respect your secrecy" Gale sighs in relief
"Anyways let's go save the others".
Walking through the back entrance of the Palace Of Alvera they have notice no guards hasn't appeared once "there is something suspicious about this?"
"And what would that be"
"It's quiet. Too quiet for its own good"
"Perhaps we are already being watched".
They tried to listen for any footsteps from guards but they don't hear anything, knowing this they took precautions walking carefully through the palace as to know guards patrolling anywhere inside the Palace of Alvera. Soon the further they head through the palace then walking on the stairs they began to feel a little light
"Hey Ralian what is this feeling?"
"The atmosphere feels different, but I think we're getting closer, hurry we need to go" now running up the stairs and the atmosphere feeling more denser they soon notice two guards taking Dani away from a room as one of the guards were holding her sword with one hand.
"It's the Captain quick we need to save her" Gale quickly tries to charge towards the two guards but Ralian quickly stops Gale.
"Don't worry I got this" Ralian then brings out arrows lace with Atropa belladonna.
"Let me go! I'm the Captain" Dani tries to struggle against the grip of her own men, but their grip tightens even further.
"Sorry Captain but the great mages order we're gonna have to lock you up. You are hereby detained and be court martial for teaming with the one who murdered the great mage."
Then suddenly Ralian fires the arrows and hits the two guards and activates her magic instantly paralyzing the two guards plopping to the ground and Gale break the cuffs off from Dani's arms.
"Captain... I mean Dani are you alright" as Gale quickly came towards aiding Dani grabbing her sword and giving it back to her.
"Yeah I'm fine"
"Where's Jin and Venny?"
"At the top of the palace that is where the Great Mage usual goes to practice his spells"
"I guess that is our next destination. Dani can you still fight?"
"Hehe your talking to someone who's calculated every possible when fighting and still came out unscathed, of course I can fight" as Dani is still limping
"Let's hope so Gale you may need to carry Dani"
"You sure Ralian"
"I thought you respect the Captain"
"Well it also had to do with personal spaces"
"Ugh we're wasting time. You know what I'll do it, we need to get to them as fast as possible".
Then Ralian summoned some vines and move them around as it forms a horse "I didn't know you could do that"
"like I said no time, but I did learn a bit from Jin about constructs and stuff"
Then the horse made of vine picks up Dani and starts to move, Gale and Ralian are soon to follow. Soon guards suddenly appeared trying to stop them but the three managed to defeat them all. Gale using their shield blocking and of the guards attack and retaliating by bashing them with Gale's shield, while Ralian and Dani are firing their spells knocking every guard.
Then walking up the stairs making their way towards the top of the Palace they began to hear screaming from up ahead towards the tower of the Palace.
"That Jin and Venny we need to hurry!" Quickly they rush through the stairs they keep running over and over again up the stairs but they feel something isn't right with the stairs.
"Is anyone feeling like we're on an endless loop"
"Oh great we fallen right into the Great Mages trap"
"The Great Mages trap why would this place be this fortified?"
"Sometimes thieves and bandits tries to steal some scrolls from the palace. But the first Great Mage had added a loop as its own security system, he uses it for the enemy to lose there energy as he would finish them."
"Well I'm not the one to stay in one place" then Gale punches to wall with vigorous force breaking a hole in the wall and instantly breaking the illusion
"Good thinking Gale. We can climb from here" Ralian then summons more vines and formed them into a spider.
"Quick get on!" The three jump out of the tower and we're immediately caught by the spider made of vines, Gale and Dani manage to catch onto the spiders but Ralian accidentally missed the spider and almost fell but was caught by Gale.
"Ralian are you alright" Gale feeling very concerned for they're friend.
"I'm fine just get me onto the spider" as Gale puts Ralian back onto one of the spider made of vine Ralian started to cough a bit of blood.
"Oh no, did that summoning spells make you sick"
"Not really it only takes a fragment of both my mind and energy to make only one"
"But you made four already, a-and your already feeling the side effects of summoning spells. But if Jin made those wind constructs then wouldn't it be also a summoning spell?"
"Gale you know we're here to not take no for answers nor waiting for excuses to appear. So quit your yapping and get climbing!"
As Ralian scoffs a bit and whipping the blood form her mouth, the spiders made from vines started to climb the tower and slowly making there way towards the Great Mage's room seeing a window Gale breaks the window and they all go into through window. Into the Great Mage is filled with libraries, they quickly get their weapons ready and sneak stealthy around the library.
"Be on lookout he could be waiting for us".
They suddenly hear more screaming across the hallways for books "that's Jin and Venny. They're near hurry!"
Quickly they run, from the hordes of books, research and more lesser experiments, until they've stumbled onto a giant door "this is the Great Mages room".
They try to open the door but it seems to be lock "great do any of you know how to lock pick"
Suddenly as Dani tried ask, but Ralian and Gale immediately break open the door by using a large amount of bomb arrows by Ralian, and a great slash form Gale decimating the door "doors open let's go".
Dani was quick to be in awe by their tendency and immediate actions before planning. As each of them gets ready and prepares to confront the great mage, they then walk through the broken door as it magically reforms into anew.
