Into the domain of the great mage's lair, they see more advance research and experiments then what they saw from behind the door. Most were too disturbing to properly describe as they were horrified by the sight of harming any types of life they have come across. But they heard the loud screams of Jin and Venny can be heard from all over the room, and the closer they get toward where the great mage is located the scream begins to ring louder from Jin and Venny. Dani hearing this tried to get closer but was stopped by Gale.
"What are you doing we're right there"
"Remember when the Great Mage use that sleeping spell on us"
"Will you two be quiet we need to take this situation with caution..." Ralian quickly takes a look around the area they are in and sees the bookshelves has a open area.
"You two get near the Great Mage, much as possible. And I'll give you both the signal to pursuit"
"Got it Ralian"
"Wait if your going to use arrows, then wouldn't a lightning spell work better"
Ralian stayed silent for a moment, "I am not going to answer that".
Then Ralian begins to climb the bookshelves towards the top and makes her move. Dani and Gale quickly also do the same as they head towards where the Great Mage is located as towards the end of the library they both began to witness Jin and Venny getting their magic siphon away from the Great Mage.
Dani seeing her friends in pain wants to help them, "we have to help them"
But was quickly stopped by Gale, "no we need to wait for Ralian's signal".
As they are hiding away they then sees the struggle from the Great Mage, when trying to siphon their powers. But to him it seems harder to siphon than normal.
"Hey what's wrong you're starting to lose your edge!" Venny yelling as he tries to ease his pain
"Silence! Miss Enchantress wants your abilities. And will rewards me with greater powers than yours"
"More power?! Ha! that's all, then that's just makes you a coward for wanting more!" Jin yelling back towards the Great Mage.
"Shut up! Shut up! You casters always think you're always on top and that being superior to other. But did you have any idea what you tried to take my life I found true meaning!" Jin and Venny suddenly stopped talking as the Great Mage soon takes off this mask.
"Once I slain you and take your powers, and I Handikiz will take his rightful place as king". A moment silence then occur, until Jin and Venny started to laugh jokingly at Handikiz.
"What?" confused to see them laughing at him instead of being shocked in horror.
"Did you really think we didn't catches onto who you really are Handikiz"
"We knew the fire wouldn't kill you, and as soon as we left you use that teleportation spell and got away"
"When did you all knew"
"Why so surprise all of sudden Handikiz. Were you still that Coward when you first stumbled onto that tavern me and my brother Vant, own at the mountains".
Jin then started to tell a story about Handikiz meeting the Akaumo brothers.
During my time from another country there was another cold season at DarkPeak's Mountain. Many adventurers would visit the mountains to go towards the top to challenge themselves, to prove themselves if they are true adventurers. Every cold season are always the perfect times to scale the mountain towards the peak with the cold weather sinking into their lungs as it gets harder to breath to closer they get towards the top. all types of adventurers who dared themselves to adventure forwards towards DarkPeak's Mountain, but they all try their best to climb the mountains. But many adventurers couldn't make it towards the top of the mountain not even half way up the mountain. Due to the sheer cold weathers some had to scale back down the mountain, but some were more unfortunate to get caught in those harsher climates.
Due to the increasing body count two brothers then came up an idea to create a tavern as they both want to save the lives of countless adventurers and also let anyone in case that they cannot scale the mountain. During the cold season we worked hard to build the tavern and we needed to build towards halfway on DarkPeak's Mountain as we are sure most adventurers give up. It only took four weeks to build the tavern as the brothers were very determined to help and assist as many people as we could. Upon first opening and still in the cold season they waited and waited for any adventurers to head into the tavern they have built. Soon hours had passed and no one had came into the tavern, my older brother tried to search for any adventurers outside to see if they are near their tavern.
"Hey Vant is anyone near"
"No Jin I don't think we'll be getting anyone for this part of the season".
As the times went by they still waited and waited and letting the fire burn till we were running out of fire wood, and Vant had to go out and chop some wood for the furnace and Jin had to look after the tavern. Soon after waiting for too long for Vant to come back with the wood in the afternoon I started exploring the area around the tavern far enough till he can still see the tavern ahead. During my exploration and since it's still the cold season all I could find are items that were covered in the snow. I did find some rags, a rope, a boomerang, and even a journal. I picked them all up before heading back to the tavern, to find Vant back with the fire wood.
"Hey Jin where you been" and sees the stuff I was holding in my hands.
"I've been exploring"
"Heh, I guess that's understandable since there is nothing to do right now" "right but, check out what I found".
Soon as they were celebrating someone suddenly came into the tavern looking beaten and desperate till collapsing onto the floor, Vant and I quickly grabbed the stranger to aid him as we sheltered him in the cold season at DarkPeak's mountain.
But it was a mistake me and my brother made, as I wish we never met him in the first place. As you bring nothing but, cowardice, and despair from every mark you place in this world Handikiz.
