In a wrecked plane a young kid lay on the ground wrapped in clothes. While others also surrounded him in the same condition.
Then the young boy's eyes started to flicker open. He was waking up from his deep slumber.
Alex had finally opened his eyes and woke up.
As he came to his senses he slowly started getting up, until he was sitting down.
As he rubbed his eyes his vision became clear as he saw all the survivors to be alive. Yet some of them were injured just like Alex.
Luckily for Alex his injuries were much less worse than the other wounded men. Although Alex had still fainted from the immense pain.
Alex could still feel the immense pain emanating from his back. Yet it was still bearable.
If not for Alex's quick reaction to slightly move away from the monkey, his injuries would've been much worse.
With his fainting most likely being from the immense pain, while also partely due to his young and underdeveloped body.
Then as people started to notice Alex's awaking people quickly flocked towards him. All wanting to know if he was alright or if he needed anything.
Yet they really couldn't offer anything to Alex at the moment. With the plane lacking basic necessities and resources.
Alex had realized this after first waking up on the continent. Yet he really didn't think about it until now.
The plane was going to need those resources and necessities if they were going to survive the continent.
Except Alex didn't know how he would be able to get those necessities and resources. Then he had a sudden idea, yet it wouldn't be a permanent solution.
As the survivors main necessity was food and water. While the plane had delivered the survivors meals back when the plane was in the air.
While they were scheduled to be in the air for the upcoming morning. So there was bound to be more food stored in the plane.
Although at this moment Alex was not in shape to get up and walk about. Still he decided to get up anyway, ignoring the pain pulsing from his back.
As the people around him were surprised to see him stand up, as though he was totally fine. Except he wasn't, he was just hiding his pain.
"Hey, are you really okay to be standing right now."
Alex kept a straight face as he prepared an answer.
"I don't feel anything, I'm pretty sure I'm fine."
Before Alex could turn around a young girl stopped.
"We never mentioned anything about you having an injury so how would you know that you were injured and didn't feel anything."
Alex turned back around as he stared the girl in the eyes as a grimace formed onto his face.
Yet the girl stared back with a cold and intimidating gaze.
"I'm fine, don't worry about it."
Alex was hungry as afternoon had long passed, and the sun was setting. So he turned around and walked away before anyone could stop him.
He headed towards where he saw the flight attendants come from with a cart full of food. As he approached the back of the plane, going past the bathroom and walking through a door.
Past that door Alex saw a fridge, and a microwave located relatively close to each other.
He walked towards the plane and opened the door, as he saw a whole stack of meals covered in plastic bins.
Alex grabbed as many as he could and set them next to the microwave. Then he repeated this until he had unloaded all the food next to the microwave.
Then he looked at about ninety meals.
Shoot, how many people are on the plane.
He then started counting in his head before estimating about eighty passengers. Alex decided to just heat up all the meals and any leftovers would be put back into the fridge.
Sadly Alex knew this meal would only last them a day and he would have to figure out another source of food tomorrow.
Then Alex started loading the meals into the microwave. As he fit three into the large metal microwave before starting a timer for a minute.
With the ninety meals he had it would take about thirty minutes for all the meals to be finished.
In those thirty minutes Alex would have to stick next to the microwave in boredom with nothing else to do.
Luckily for him he still needed to think about everything that had happened since their arrival in the unknown continent.
As Alex started the first meal and started to think back.
I need to go over all the things that's happened.
Hmm…
Well first the turbulence and flickering lights happened.
Then that strange energy… blast happened pretty close afterwards.
At the thought of the terrifying experience that the strange energy had caused made Alex shiver as goosebumps started to subtly grow on Alex's skin.
Then after that we fell through the storm cloud and were struck by that strange pink lightning.
Then the plane ended up here on this strange and mysterious continent.
Then the system appeared once we woke up.
Then these strange animals, or rather these abominations roamed the forest we are now in.
The events leading up to the current situation were very strange. Especially the amount of world changing events they went through.
Alex had always wanted to be in a situation like this. Being thrown into a world to fight monsters to live.
Except after experiencing it in the real world he regretted his wishes. As the grand way the books portrayed it overshadowed the horrors that came with it.
As had almost been left greatly injured, and only due to his quick reaction was he still able to move around.
Alex dove deeper and deeper into his mind, the time flew by quite quickly as the final meal had just finished.
It was now time for Alex to hand out the food he had prepared. Yet he still needed to load the food onto the nearby cart.
As Alex then started grabbing plate by plate and putting it on the cart. He kept this up until there was no room left on the car, where Alex then reorganized, and started loading it back up until there were no more plates.
Alex had finally finished heating and loading the food up. Although it did take an awhile, to Alex time had gone by as quick as the wind
He then sighed before grabbing the cart and rolling it out of the room. As the moment the cart had left the room a pleasant aroma spread right through the entire plane, catching the attention of the survivors.
The survivors all glanced at the food with excitement and an impatient glimmer shone in their eyes. After the long day and fight they had all been waiting for a filling meal.
Now Alex had brought out a whole cart of delicious food meant to quench their hunger, while even Alex was excited for the meal.
Alex walked aisle to aisle as he passed out food to anyone who wanted it. People thanked him for his kind act before ravaging through the delicious meal.
Then Alex had gone through every seat, handing everyone food. Although there were still meals left he rolled them back to the flight attendants cabin.
As Alex kept one meal going himself and loaded the five remaining meals into the fridge. Alex planned on keeping those meals solely for himself.
Then Alex closed the fridge door and headed to the closest empty seat, as he sat down in it and started to demolish his food.
While ravaging through his food the aroma didn't only get the attention of the survivors. It had also attracted the attention of one of the abominations.
As a fly the size of a soccer ball flew into the plane window, squeezing itself through. Alex stopped his meal to pay attention to the fly.
Just like every creature on the unknown continent it had disgusting lumps growing on it.
At the sight of this Alex dropped his food and started to summon his lost katana. Yet it was taking too long, so Alex tried to punch the fly.
Except fight before the punch landed the fly disappeared. Alex looked around confused, then he noticed the fly hovering behind him.
Finally his katana had formed, as Alex grasped onto his hilt. He then swung the sword as hard as he could.
The katana slashed through the air, but right before reaching its target, the fly once again disappeared. It was behind Alex again.
At this point Alex got annoyed and came up with a strategy.
Its ability must have a cooldown, so I just need to pretend to strike it and then strike behind me.
Alex turned his body to face the fly head on, before swinging down at the fly. It had once again disappeared.
Except Alex did not stop swinging, as he swung down to the floor and started to then swing backwards.
This extreme momentum caused Alex's body to turn, as he found himself swinging the sword up right into the fly.
Then the sword cleanly cuts straight through the fly.
Damn, guess even huge flies are hard to catch.
Then an illusory screen flickered in front of Alex.
[You have slain a Dashing Fly, you have been rewarded 1 ruin]
Alex glanced at the screen surprised. He was excited that he had found a way to get more ruins from the system. All he had to do was kill some monsters.
Now Alex wanted to check out the system screens that had popped up while he was fighting the monkeys.
Before Alex had ignored them, as he was in an intense fight defending the plane. Yet now he was totally free and had the time to go through the new information.
Except there was one huge problem, those screens had long disappeared. They weren't even hovering above him when he woke up.
Alex decided instead he was just going to check out his main system screens and see if anything had changed.
As he focused within himself trying to find the system. After already finding it the first time it was much easier to find now.
The system's illusory blue screen flickered in front of Alex. Yet he was left semi shocked by what he saw.
