Chapter 28 - CHAPTER TWENTY EIGHT

He used his Dimension Authority to pull the little dragon toward him and held it firmly against his chest.

"Enough. Didn't I tell you not to fight?"

The little dragon struggled and glared at the human cub as though it had suffered greatly.

Yu Weiwei looked at the dragon cub for a moment before saying,

"You've already lost thrice. Why are you still trying?"

The primordial dragon cub stubbornly turned its head away.

The human cub cautiously held onto Yu Weiwei, wanting to be held in an embrace as well.

The dragon cub immediately turned its head and growled.

The little boy almost fell off the bed because of the dragon cub's sudden movement.

He furrowed his eyebrows, looking like he was about to cry.

"Bad."

Yu Weiwei quickly carried him onto his other arm.

"Both of you, no fighting."

The human cub obediently nodded, while the primordial dragon cub reluctantly lowered its head.

Yu Weiwei finally relaxed, believing that he had managed to restore some peace.

Then a cheerful voice came from the door.

"Wow! Is that the primordial dragon cub?!"

Yu Weiwei turned around and saw Xiao Baobao floating into the room.

The moment the Xiao baobao spotted the primordial dragon cub, his eyes lit up with excitement.

"It's so cute!"

Xiao Baobao immediately flew closer and began circling the little creature, looking at it from every angle. The primordial dragon cub raised its head and stared at him curiously instead of growling.

"Why are you here?" Yu Weiwei asked curiously.

"Oh, I saw that you adopted a primordial dragon cub on StarNet, so I came to see it. After all, it's rare to tame a primordial dragon beast," Xiao Baobao said as he continued circling the dragon cub.

"Tsk, it's a pity I can't touch or feel it!"

"Look at those little claws! And those scales! It's so tiny!" Xiao Baobao said excitedly.

"Uhn?! Where did the child come from?" Xiao Baobao, who had been busy admiring the dragon cub, suddenly noticed the human cub and froze.

"It's complicated," Yu Weiwei replied.

Xiao Baobao floated around the human cub before suddenly exclaiming,

"Weiwei, according to my data, this little guy has a 65% resemblance to you!"

"Is he your younger brother?! The child doesn't look like anyone from the Yu family, but he bears a resemblance to your father, Lin Zhe!"

Xiao Baobao suddenly furrowed his eyebrows, looking confused.

"That's not right. Lin Zhe isn't from this world. Unless the baby came here through the black hole, which is a bit impossible since 99% of those who have gone through the black hole are dead."

"Hmm... The child's bone age is three years old, so is he really your younger brother?!"

Yu Weiwei looked at the human cub and wished it were really true that he was his younger brother.

Before Yu Weiwei could say anything, Xiao Baobao continued,

"The only way a brother of this age could appear would be through a stasis pod. But there are only two stasis pods in existence. One is with the Federation, and the other is with Emperor Caspian."

If Xiao Baobao hadn't mentioned the stasis pod, Yu Weiwei would have forgotten about it.

A stasis pod was a medical device that placed a patient into complete biological stasis, halting physical aging and mental development until they were released. It was mostly used for patients who were seriously injured and could not be treated at the time, or for those suffering from illnesses for which a cure had not yet been found.

"But both the Federation's and the Empire's stasis pods are currently occupied," Yu Weiwei reminded Xiao Baobao.

"That's true. This doesn't make sense. Lin Zhe has no child other than you, unless this child was created from his genes by one of those illegal research labs four years ago."

Xiao Baobao's expression suddenly turned serious.

"Weiwei, where did you find him?"

"I..." Yu Weiwei was stuck.

Should he tell the truth?

Before he could answer, Xiao Baobao interrupted him.

"This is a serious matter. I have to inform Louise and Ryan."

Before Yu Weiwei could stop him, Xiao Baobao disappeared.

Yu Weiwei sighed.

He looked at the human cub, who was still clutching onto him as though nothing unusual had happened. The more he thought about the situation, the more serious the problem became.

He couldn't simply keep the child hidden.

The interstellar government required every human child to have a registered identity. An unregistered three-year-old would immediately attract attention, and once the child's citizenship was registered, his biological connection to Yu Weiwei would be exposed.

Besides, Xiao Baobao had discovered his existence, and it wouldn't be long before the other two knew about him as well.

Then they would ask the obvious question.

Who was the child's mother?

Yu Weiwei had no answer.

The records would also show that he had been seventeen when the child was born, which would create an even bigger problem. There was no possible explanation that wouldn't immediately raise suspicion.

After thinking for a long time, Yu Weiwei finally took out his communication device and called Elara.

The call connected after a few moments.

"Weiwei? Why are you calling me?"

Yu Weiwei hesitated before looking toward the human cub. The little boy looked contented as he snuggled in Yu Weiwei's arms, seemingly completely unaware of the crisis his existence had created.

"I have a problem," Yu Weiwei said.

Elara immediately became curious.

"What happened?"

Yu Weiwei took a deep breath.

"I suddenly have a biological child."

There was a long silence.

"...What?"

"A child."

"I heard you. I just don't understand what you mean."

Yu Weiwei rubbed his forehead.

"He's three years old, and he's biologically mine."

Elara stared at him through the communication screen, clearly trying to process what she had just heard.

"Yu Weiwei, you're twenty."

"I know."

"You were sixteen four years ago."

"I know."

"Then who is the mother?"

Yu Weiwei fell silent.

"...I don't know."

Elara's expression changed completely.

"How can you not know?"

"It's complicated."

"Where did this child come from?"

Yu Weiwei hesitated. He couldn't tell her about the inheritance, the planetary core, or Lin Zhe. Not yet.

"I found him."

Elara stared at him.

"You found a three-year-old biological child?"

"Yes."

She was silent for a long moment before finally sighing.

"Don't do anything until I get there. I'll come tomorrow with Caspian."

Yu Weiwei nodded.

"All right."

The call ended, leaving Yu Weiwei staring at the blank screen.

He had a feeling tomorrow was going to be troublesome.

---

The next morning, an imperial transport landed on Sea Sky Planet.

Caspian and Elara stepped out first, followed by Xiao Baobao, Louise, and Ryan.

Xiao Baobao immediately spotted Yu Weiwei and flew toward him with his usual enthusiasm.

"Weiwei!"

Yu Weiwei barely had time to react before Xiao Baobao circled around him excitedly.

"Where's the mysterious child? I want to see him!"

"You saw him yesterday."

"But now I want to investigate him!"

Xiao Baobao suddenly spotted the primordial dragon cub and immediately brightened even further.

"Little dragon!"

The primordial dragon cub looked at Xiao Baobao with a slightly confused expression.

Yesterday, Xiao Baobao had been nothing more than a bunch of data that couldn't be touched, but now he had a solid body.

The primordial dragon cub sniffed his hand for a moment before suddenly licking it.

Xiao Baobao froze, then burst into delighted laughter.

"It licked me! Hahaha! You like me, don't you?"

The dragon cub wagged its tail, seemingly surprised that it could actually touch Xiao Baobao.

"Do you want to be friends?" Xiao Baobao asked.

The primordial dragon cub climbed onto him without hesitation.

Yu Weiwei was a little surprised. When they were at the Hart's resettlement, this little guy hadn't allowed anyone to hold him.

"That's right! We're friends now!" Xiao Baobao said excitedly as he snuggled the little dragon.

The human cub had been watching them from the side.

He suddenly walked over and pulled at Yu Weiwei's clothes.

"Carry."

The others, who were just meeting the little cub, looked at him curiously.

Yu Weiwei carried the little cub despite their probing eyes.

However, this immediately triggered another fight.

The little dragon glared angrily at the human cub, who was being carried by Yu Weiwei.

The primordial dragon cub almost pounced on the human cub, but Xiao Baobao's grip wasn't that easy to escape from.

Xiao Baobao looked between the two cubs and immediately understood what was happening.

"Oh! You two are fighting?"

"Are you jealous of the little cub? What a pity. He's your master's brother, so he has more rights than you."

The human cub nodded seriously.

Xiao Baobao burst into laughter when he saw the adorable face trying so hard to look serious.

The primordial dragon cub growled when it saw this.

"This little dragon seems to understand what you're saying," Elara exclaimed in surprise.

"Well, that's not surprising. After all, it has the potential to awaken an A-rank-level mental power," Louise commented, looking at the angry dragon cub.
