Chapter 30 - CHAPTER THIRTY

"Yes, it's spiritual power," Yu Weiwei replied.

"Are you sure?" Ryan asked, frowning slightly.

"I can use it too," Yu Weiwei confessed.

They all froze.

"So that means the milk bottle you just pulled out of nowhere came from that spatial pocket Lin Zhe talked about!" Xiao Baobao suddenly exclaimed in surprise.

"Since when have you been able to use that?" Louise asked, looking confused.

"Since the Truth Seer. To be honest, I used it to repair my mental core."

"It can repair mental cores?!" Caspian asked in surprise.

"Yes."

"So the reason you can use it is because you inherited Lin Zhe's blood?" Xiao Baobao asked in realization.

"No. I can use it because I managed to sense it. Everyone can. We just don't know how," Yu Weiwei said, half-truthfully.

It was indeed true that everyone could potentially sense spiritual power, but he had only been able to recognize and control it because he had cultivated with spiritual power in another world during his transmigration.

"That's great! Weiwei, when are you planning on joining the research institute?" Caspian asked, clearly delighted.

"Wait. Something is strange. Lin Zhe can't use spiritual power, so how did he tamper with the planetary core using that spiritual vein?" Ryan suddenly asked, looking confused.

Not only was Yu Weiwei stunned, but the others were too.

He had overlooked that.

Elara had already told him that Lin Zhe could not use spiritual power, and he had subconsciously ignored that fact. Besides, if Lin Zhe couldn't control spiritual power, how had he developed a method to transform a mental core into a spiritual dantian?

Elara, who had returned with the cleaned-up Xiao Zi and overheard the conversation, also looked confused.

"What was going on?"

"I don't know either," Elara admitted.

Seeing that none of them could figure out the reason, Caspian turned his attention back to the readings.

He stared at the display with a solemn expression.

"The child possesses authority over Sea Sky Planet."

That was the truth.

The child was the planetary core itself.

He possessed every authority belonging to Sea Sky Planet, but he was still far too young to understand or control them. His emotions simply caused the planet to respond instinctively.

Seeing that the investigation was going nowhere, Caspian concluded, "We have to teach him how to control that power before he can be seen by the public."

Children under eighteen couldn't use mental power, and Xiao Bai, who was clearly only three years old, shouldn't be seen using any sort of power. Otherwise, he would become number one on the bounty list.

"I'll teach him," Yu Weiwei said before continuing.

They didn't object, since Yu Weiwei was the only one who could sense spiritual power.

"And we have to give him a valid parentage," Elara said.

"Then he's Lin Zhe's nephew," Caspian concluded.

"Huh? Can't we say he's Lin Zhe's second child?" Elara asked, a little confused.

"No way. Even though Lin Zhe has been gone for almost twenty years, his fans are still here. They know almost everything about him, and they have always known that Lin Zhe doesn't want kids. Weiwei's existence was an accident. If a child suddenly appeared, I guarantee you they'd dig up every piece of information they could find to prove otherwise," Xiao Baobao said, looking a little shaken.

Apart from Crown Prince Evander's crazy fans, there were also Lin Zhe and Yu Chen's crazy fans. They were ranked first, even higher than Evander's fans, when it came to detective work.

"Well, that's true. Xiao Bai is Weiwei's cousin, then. At least that can withstand their detective eyes," Elara said with a nod.

"Why don't we just tell them he's my child?" Yu Weiwei asked, confused.

Hearing this, they all looked at Yu Weiwei.

"Weiwei, you've never had any fertility surgery. The only way Xiao Bai could exist is if you, as a minor, were slept with. That means either you violated the law or the mother of the child violated the law. If the citizens think you were the one who violated the law, you won't be able to escape the punishment for that. And if it's the mother, she would also be punished. You can't escape the consequences, especially since you are currently being watched by the citizens," Elara explained patiently.

Yu Weiwei was a little stunned, but he accepted his fate.

"Cousin it is, then."

The others nodded.

Caspian took a slow sip of his tea before glancing at Yu Weiwei over the rim of his cup.

"So, when are you going to teach the research institute?"

"I'm planning to go after I'm done developing this planet and my planting is in its final stage," Yu Weiwei explained.

Caspian lowered his cup.

"Why wait until then? Is planting really more important than repairing damaged mental cores?"

"It's not that it's more important."

Yu Weiwei looked toward the fields outside the window.

"I'm planning to use planting to train my abilities first. Once I'm more familiar with controlling spiritual power, I'll be able to use it more precisely when I start repairing mental cores."

Caspian was quiet for a moment.

He took another sip of tea, seemingly considering Yu Weiwei's words.

"So you're treating the entire planet as your training ground?"

Yu Weiwei nodded.

"Something like that."

Caspian smiled faintly.

"I suppose that's one way to train."

After chatting for a while, they eventually left, leaving Xiao Baobao behind as he played with Xiao Zi and the two cubs.

With that settled, Yu Weiwei finally turned his attention to the matter that had been waiting for him.

Sea Sky Planet.

He had been so caught up in the investigation surrounding the planetary core that the development plans he had made earlier had been delayed.

Now that the immediate crisis had been resolved, he could finally begin.

His attention was already on the planetary map displayed before him.

There were several areas marked in different colours.

The first was the agricultural zone.

The second was the residential area.

There were also several regions that had been marked as undeveloped areas.

Before any of that, however, he had to start with the people.

Although he had robots to help him, there were some delicate tasks they couldn't handle. Besides, having the people work on the development would provide them with much-needed jobs.

Yu Weiwei's investigation into the nobles had yielded very little useful information, so he decided to use a shortcut.

His gaze fell on Xiao Baobao, who had been squatting in his house for days.

A glint flashed in his eyes.

And so, Xiao Baobao was deprived of delicious food and the opportunity to play with the two cubs unless he agreed to help Yu Weiwei.

Xiao Baobao had completely fallen into Yu Weiwei's evil hands because of his addiction to delicious food.

With no other choice, he began helping with the investigation.

In a week's time, almost all of the corrupt nobles had been thrown into prison. Some were even sentenced to death without ever getting the chance to experience the wonders of prison.

The other corrupted nobles, whose crimes were less severe, were not turned in, much to Xiao Baobao's dissatisfaction.

However, he eventually relented when Yu Weiwei explained that it wasn't good for the water to be too clear, as it would only attract even worse pollution.

Now that those nobles were being investigated and punished, the planet had another problem.

What would happen to the people afterward?

Yu Weiwei didn't want them to become dependent on charity.

They needed jobs.

They needed food.

And, more importantly, they needed a reason to believe that their lives could actually improve.

So, his planting commenced amidst the broadcasting and training of Xiao Bai's powers, all before Xiao Bai could appear in public.

---

Two weeks later, most of the major cities on Sea Sky Planet had undergone tremendous changes.

Yu Weiwei's farm had expanded and become much more organized. The citizens of Sea Sky Planet had lost their former defeated and lifeless expressions, and one could now see hope in their eyes.

Today was a big day for both Yu Weiwei and Xiao Bai.

Yu Weiwei was going to send a batch of short-term vegetables and plants to the Imperial Research Institute, along with the plants he had grown after successfully transforming his mental core into a spiritual dantian the day before.

Although he had transformed his mental core into a spiritual dantian, Yu Weiwei could still use mental power. In fact, he could convert spiritual qi into mental power.

His spiritual cultivation was currently at the fourth level of the Qi Formation stage, which was roughly equivalent to the D rank of his mental power.

The most satisfying thing was that his mental power could still grow, something that rarely happened in this interstellar world.

Once someone awakened at a certain rank, they would remain at that rank for life unless they experienced some miraculous opportunity.

Yu Weiwei looked at the Imperial Research Institute's cargo shipment and hurried to the farm.
