Volume-1 (Part 3)
When he said that, William became suspicious. "What is your full name, including your house name?" William asked.
Just as he was about to reply, a deafening alarm echoed through the temple grounds. News arrived that the seals were shattering—the Serpent King had broken loose. The air grew heavy and cold. They immediately rushed to the battlefield, where the Guru stood, quickly calling everyone together. Looking at the disciples readying themselves, William turned to Rocky and asked in a low voice, "Many people here are already using their powers; doesn't that mean their seals are already broken?"
Rocky replied grimly, "No, they haven't completely broken them. Through years of intense effort and dangerous training, they have only managed to pierce small holes in their seals. That is why they can only access a fraction of their true strength."
Realizing the stakes, William looked at the approaching chaos and told Rocky, "Break their seals completely. We need everyone at full power." Rocky nodded, concentrating his energy. As he unlocked the seals, a massive, visible wave of aura burst from the disciples. Everyone became instantly stronger, their eyes flashing with newfound energy, and together, they stepped forward to face the charging serpent army.
The battlefield became pure chaos. Amidst the roaring and crashing, William focused his 'Eyeose' power to read the movements of the colossal enemy. That's when he discovered a crucial vulnerability: the massive serpent could only be defeated if the glowing gem atop its head was destroyed. Dodge-rolling past a crashing tail, William shouted at the top of his lungs, "It is fiercely protecting the gem on top! That is its weak spot! We must destroy that gem!"
Hearing this, the Serpent King let out a mocking, earth-shaking laugh. With a hiss that rattled William's bones, the creature summoned his entire army to converge on their position, blocking the path. The fight grew incredibly intense; weapons clashed, and energy blasts shook the ground.
Seizing a split-second opening, William sprinted forward through the crossfire. He gathered every ounce of his internal chakra, channeling it down to his legs, and activated 'Muscle Shifting'. His leg muscles expanded, surging with raw power. With a powerful leap, he launched himself into the air and struck the gem with all his might. The impact was monumental—a blinding flash of light and a massive shockwave ripped through the air. The sheer force of the collision was too much for a human body to bear, and William lost consciousness mid-air. As his limp body began to fall, the Guru swiftly moved through the dust and caught him safely.
At that exact microsecond, while the serpent was reeling from William's blow, the lead disciple made an unexpected, lightning-fast move. He ran with incredible agility straight up the serpent's thrashing tail, using the momentum to propel himself high into the air. With a roar, he struck the exact crack that William had left on the gem, shattering it completely into pieces. As the giant beast collapsed, a small, mysterious light entered the disciple's body without anyone noticing, and a strange pendant clattered to the ground. The Guru immediately recognized the danger, using his powers to seal the pendant instantly, lifting it securely into the air.
After the war concluded, the dust finally settled. William regained consciousness in the recovery room. Once he felt his strength returning, he went out searching for the lead disciple to get the answer to his unfinished question. He walked all over the temple grounds and finally found him standing near the edge of the cliff. William walked up to him and asked again, "What was your name with house name? "
The disciple turned around slowly and replied, "Willy Thomas."
With overwhelming excitement, William's heart skipped a beat. He stepped forward and hugged his father tightly. Giving Thomas a small, playful punch on the chest to hide his tears, he said, "Still, you could have just come back home, Dad!"
Hearing this, Thomas looked at him with a mix of disbelief and doubt, his eyes widening. "William... son, is it really you?"
After a while, with the Guru's blessing, William finally took his father back home. Standing before their old front door, William looked at him and said, "You have changed a lot in four years, Dad." Thomas smiled gently and replied, "You have grown a lot too, son." Thomas pressed the doorbell.
The door slowly opened, and Jasmine stood there. Seeing Thomas standing on the porch after four long years, Jasmine burst into tears of joy, recognizing her husband at first sight. They went inside, the heavy atmosphere of the war completely vanishing as she served hot food. As they sat down to eat, Rocky popped out of William's pocket. William then carefully explained everything that had happened to his mother. Jasmine looked at Thomas, her voice trembling slightly, "You could have sent at least one message to let us know." Thomas lowered his head sadly, holding her hand, and said, "Anyway, I've returned now, so please don't be sad anymore."
While the family experienced pure happiness inside the warm house, far out in the dark vacuum of space, thousands of ominous Overlight warships were changing formation, heading directly towards Earth.
After dinner, William and Thomas sat down in the study to talk about the grim reality ahead. "Warriors like us are fighting against 9 powerful Evil Lords across the dimensions," Thomas explained seriously. "We managed to eliminate one of them recently. But there are eight more left, all trapped in another dimension. We were able to keep them sealed, but we haven't been able to defeat the most powerful one—the Evil Dragon King. He is already sending his followers to Earth. We must form an army immediately and eliminate them before it's too late." Listening to all this, William stared at his father's face; the joy of seeing him after so long had still not faded, masking the dread of the oncoming war.
That night, the family slept in peace. However, in another dark corner of the Earth, the Dragon King's vanguard was silently plotting a brutal invasion...
William went to sleep. In the dead of the night, he was violently jolted awake by a loud, ground-shaking explosion. He opened his eyes to a horrific sight—his house and the entire surroundings lay in smoking ruins, filled with fire. Through the thick smoke, a massive, terrifying dragon was holding his father captive in its claws. In another corner, his mother lay completely motionless and dead. William was paralyzed with absolute terror. Suddenly, out of the shadows, a sharp spear whistled through the air, flying directly towards his chest at lightning speed.
Thomas screamed loudly, his voice echoing in the destruction, "Son...!"
