The next day, William dreamt of the four legends again. This had become a recurring occurrence. He woke up with a start, got dressed, and headed to school with Rocky by his side. After school, the group gathered at their secret hideout. William reintroduced Rocky to the others, and they began training together to master their powers.
However, Tom possessed no Chakra. With Rocky's help, William discovered that Tom's strength lay elsewhere—his brain held immense latent power. William channeled a small amount of his own Chakra into Tom's brain in a specific way. This awakened a telekinetic ability in Tom, allowing him to lift small objects without touching them and transform them into makeshift weapons.
Days passed in rigorous training. Even after practicing for many days, Ieno's powers remained beyond her full control. William patiently helped her practice, though she hadn't yet reached her full potential. Eventually, the day arrived for them to visit the Master.
There, they met Rosie, the daughter of a highly powerful Colonel. Rosie helped them understand the inner workings of their environment and demonstrated her own formidable powers. Together, the group marched toward the portal to confront the dragons.
William noticed Tom looking around anxiously. "What are you looking for?" William asked.
Tom whispered, "I don't see Rosie. Where is she?"
William chuckled softly. "Why do you care so much? I've seen you looking at her. Do you have a crush on her?" Tom quickly tried to dodge the question, just as Rosie arrived. By then, the two had already become quite close.
As they prepared to enter the portal, William stopped Ieno. "You're still learning to control your powers," he told her. "It's not safe for you to come yet. Stay here and practice your healing and your ability to summon giant plants from the earth with the others."
Ieno looked at him with deep concern. "Fine, but promise me you'll come back for me."
William looked at her and smiled. "No matter what monster I face, I will come back for you, Ieno."
With that, they stepped inside.
The very moment they crossed the threshold, the world turned into absolute chaos. The sky darkened as millions of massive, bloodthirsty dragons flooded the horizon, their roars shaking the very ground beneath them. The sheer pressure of their energy filled the air, making it hard to breathe. Before the team could even form a defense, the horde charged toward them like a tidal wave of scales and fire.
Among the beasts, one massive dragon locked its glowing eyes onto the group, scanning for a target. Sensing that Tom possessed absolutely no Chakra, it instantly singled him out, calculating that he would be an easy kill. Completely ignoring William and the other powerful warriors standing guard, the beast reared its massive head back. A blinding, intense glow erupted from its throat as it unleashed a massive, devastating blast of scorching fire directly at Tom, erasing everything in its path.
William's eyes widened in horror as the flames raced toward his friend. He screamed at the top of his lungs, "Tom...!"
