Volume-2 (Part 1)
A spear came hurtling toward William. Thomas screamed in agony, "My son...!"
A fraction of a second later, William woke up from his sleep with a violent start, his heart pounding against his ribs. He sat up, gasping for air. It was just a dream. Trying to shake off the lingering dread, he slowly went to brush his teeth. While brushing, his mind kept drifting back to the strange events of that nightmare.
In that dream, an unseen power had miraculously stopped the spear just before it could pierce his chest. Then, three other powerful entities had approached him, bowed their heads in deep reverence, and uttered a single word: "Lord." They were the four Legends. At that exact moment, all the surrounding chaos and destruction had vanished, replacing the fiery ruins with a void of absolute, pure white.
They had begun to speak to William in unison: "Lord, the time has come for your true powers to emerge. They will fully manifest on your next birthday. You must use them with extreme caution. Only then will you understand who we are—and who you truly are." After delivering this cryptic prophecy, the illusion shattered. Everything returned to the chaotic reality of the attack. The spear that was heading toward William pierced his chest, while simultaneously, an unknown force attacked the colossial Dragon from underneath, completely subduing it.
Reflecting on the sheer intensity of the vision, William spat out the toothpaste and muttered to himself, "What a bizarre dream... huh."
William got dressed in his school uniform and went downstairs. His father was already at the dining table, eating breakfast. Looking up, his father said seriously, "Rocky and I are going to track the Overlights today to pinpoint their exact locations and monitor their movements. After that, I need to visit the Guru. We are planning to create a portal to the dimension where the dragons are sealed. Next Monday, a very rare astronomical phenomenon is occurring: the planet before Earth and the planet after Earth in the solar system will align in a straight line with our world. On that day, the dimensional barriers keeping the dragons out will weaken significantly, allowing them to invade Earth easily. We must subdue them before that happens. With the Guru's help, it will be much easier. Anyway, come and sit down to eat; don't you have to get to school?"
William replied with a faint, "Yeah..." and washed his hands before sitting down.
At that exact moment, his mother calmly raised her hand, and the food plates slowly levitated through the air, gliding smoothly across the room toward William. Seeing this supernatural display, William was completely stunned, his mouth hanging open. "Mom... so you knew about all this too?!"
His mother smiled gently and replied, "Of course, son. Do you really think your father wouldn't tell me anything? I was an active part of this mystical world long before you were born. Later, when I realized your father was a 'Vessel,' I feared for our safety. We decided to leave that dangerous life behind and came to this secluded village. But then came the Guru's urgent call. He explained that they had subdued many Evil Lords but desperately needed our help to defeat the Evil Serpent. I chose not to go back because of you; I wanted you to have a normal childhood. I thought I would tell you the truth once you grew up a bit. But when I saw you bravely investigating your father's disappearance all on your own, I decided to let you discover it yourself. That's why I initially tried to pull you back from all this, but eventually, I chose to let it be."
A wide grin spread across William's face. "Wow. Now the family is finally complete! The Mysterious Magical Family! What a brilliant style!" After joking around and finishing his breakfast, William got up, washed his hands, and grabbed his school bag. As he unlocked his bicycle outside, he shouted loudly, "I'm leaving then... Dad... Mom!" Both of them smiled and waved goodbye from the porch.
Reaching school well before the morning bell, William joined the other kids for a quick game of football. William played as a dependable defender. Throughout the first half, the match was incredibly intense, and the score remained deadlocked. However, in the final, agonizing moments of the game, a boy named Shibu skillfully dribbled past William's defense and scored a spectacular goal. Just like that, William's team lost.
As the warning bell rang and they began walking off the field, Tom approached him. William turned to his friend and said, "Hey, both you and Eno were on leave yesterday. It was so miserable here; I was literally dying of boredom. Anyway, make sure to come to that old building near the abandoned school after class this evening... and bring her along too. I have something incredible to show you guys. Just tell her it's an urgent club meeting."
Overhearing their conversation, Shibu walked over with an curious look. "Aren't you William? Hey, can I join your club too?"
Without anyone noticing, William subtly activated his 'Eyeose' power to inspect Shibu. To his absolute surprise, he detected a distinct, dormant Chakra swirling inside the boy. Realizing his potential, William looked at him and said, "Certainly. If you possess the right merit for it, come to that old building this evening."
Shibu swallowed hard, a look of sudden fear crossing his face. "What? To that haunted house?!"
William laughed and reassured him, "There are no ghosts there, man. That's just an old urban legend. We moved our club operations there and even spent a week scaring away the kids who wandered in. Now it's our perfect secret hideout. Not many people come near it. Just come... don't be afraid."
By then, the final bell rang, and they hurried to their classroom. During the lecture, Tom leaned in and whispered, "Hey, are you finally going to confess your feelings to her today?"
William blushed slightly and muttered, "Nah, not today." As they shifted their conversation to other school topics, Tom suddenly nudged him. "Look, she's staring right at you!"
William slowly turned his head around, but Eno was just casually talking and laughing with her friends. "Hey... you must have imagined it," William whispered back, shaking his head. They resumed their quiet chatter.
At that very moment, a thousand racing thoughts were causing a storm inside Eno's mind. When she had walked past William and Tom into the classroom earlier, she had overheard them talking about "her." She thought to herself anxiously, "Who could he have possibly meant by 'her'? Does he already like someone else? Did another girl propose to him on the day I was absent?" Seeing her completely lost in her thoughts, her close friends nudged her arm playfully and whispered, "If you like him this much, why don't you just go ahead and tell him your feelings?"
Eno blushed deeply and snapped out of her trance. "Oh, stop it, you guys!" She looked away, thinking to herself, "He has absolutely no idea that the only reason I joined his supernatural club was because of my feelings for him."
Once the final bell dismissed the classes for the day, William and Tom made their way to the designated old building. After a short wait, Shibu arrived nervously, followed shortly by Eno. Seeing her step into the room, William went completely silent for a moment, his heart skipping a beat.
Clearing his throat, he broke the silence. "Alright, our club has a massive, groundbreaking update. I'm going to show you all something truly real."
With absolute focus, William began to demonstrate his newly awakened abilities right before their eyes, including his incredible 'Muscle Shifting' power. They watched in sheer awe as his physical form expanded and pulsed with raw energy. Then, stepping forward, William used his unlocking abilities to temporarily tap into and release their own latent powers.
However, the moment Eno's hidden power was unlocked, it proved to be far too intense and volatile. A massive surge of raw energy erupted from her, and she completely lost control of the overwhelming aura. Realizing the immediate danger, William acted instantly; he focused his energy and successfully sealed her volatile power once again.
Due to the sudden, excessive drain of energy from her body, Eno's strength vanished, and she began to lose consciousness. Just before her eyes completely closed and darkness took over, she looked up and locked eyes with William's face. William immediately called out to Rocky. In a flash, a shimmering portal tore open, and Rocky stepped through to assist them.
After what felt like an eternity, Eno slowly opened her eyes, finding herself safe. Seeing that everyone was exhausted, they decided to postpone further discussions, agreeing to meet the next day to talk about everything in detail before heading home.
While returning from the hideout, both William and Eno walked with hearts full of pure joy. William was ecstatic because he had been able to hold Eno protectively in his arms, and Eno was secretly thrilled because he had caught her so swiftly when she collapsed. Thus, the two young souls, who loved each other deeply, returned to their respective homes, still completely unaware of the beautiful truth of their mutual affection.
