Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Oger's Fury

Alexa, Tamika, and Eve trekked through the forest, their eyes scanning the trees for a glimpse of the wise owls they sought. Eve, walking in the rear, let out a frustrated yelp as branches whipped back, slacking her in the face. 'Stop!' she shouted at Tamika, who turned, confusion drawn on her face.

'Why do you want us to stop?' Tamika asked, taken aback by the sudden outburst.

Eve glared, rubbing her cheek. 'You're hitting me with branches, and it's starting to hurt.'

The two girls began to bicker, their faces inches apart. Alexa intervened, a hushed 'Shh!' escaping her lips. She pointed upward, a sly grin spreading across her face. Perched on branches above, a group of wise owls preened their feathers, oblivious to the commotion below. Eve and Tamika's faces lit up, their argument forgotten.

'We found them!' they chimed in unison.

Meanwhile, Thadeus, Aries, and Luthour Goldenberg faced a far more formidable foe: an Oger. The behemoth swung its massive arms, sending boulders flying towards the trio. Thadeus and Aries dodged with lightning-fast reflexes, while Luthour ducked behind a tree, his eyes wide with fear.

'What's happening?' he called out.

'An Oger's trying to kill us!' Thadeus replied, his voice tight with tension.

Aries clenched his fists. 'We must fight or else we'll die.'

The Oger roared, unleashing a burst of wind that pushed the boys. Thadeus and Aries charged forward, their fists flying. The ogre retaliated, its massive swings forcing the boys to dodge and weave. Luthour, meanwhile, unfolded a scroll, searching the text for any weakness.

' According to legend , Ogers are cannibalistic monsters that devour humans , often targeting children. They are known for abducting humans , subjecting them to cruel treatment, like some versions of " Hansel and Gretel " where the witch is replaced by an Oger. Their weaknesses are fire , silver ,poisons and strategic exploits '

Thadeus and Aries leapt clear as the Oger swung again. In unison, they unleashed their powers: Thadeus's "Fire Blast!" and Aries's "Conjuration Lv3 Astro!" collided, canceling each other out.

Aries's face twisted in anger. 'You idiot! You canceled out my attack!'

Thadeus snarled, grabbing Aries's shirt. 'What did you just call me?'

Their spat was interrupted by the Oger, which hurled a tree their way. They scattered, Luthour shouting, 'Retreat!'

When the boys ran away ,The Oger pushed down a tree, broke off its branches by sliding them across its palm, and started to sniff the air, following their scent.

As they caught up to Luthour, Alexa and her team were oblivious to the danger lurking nearby, busy tying up the wise owls. But then, Luthour's panicked shout echoed through the forest...

'Did you just hear that?' Alexa asked, her brow furrowed.

Eve and Tamika exchanged a look, pretending they hadn't heard a thing. 'It's probably nothing,' Alexa said, shrugging.

Thadeus, Aries, and Luthour regrouped together, exhausted and famished. 'Sorry for ditching you guys back there,' Luthour apologized.

Thadeus shook his head. ' I've never been this close to death before '

Luthour's expression turned grim. ' were lucky to have survived, that thing was nine to ten feet tall and probably weighed 600 to 650 pounds.'

Aries gazed at his hands, a mixture of horror and doubt written on his face.' I'm not strong enough. I need to get stronger !'

A loudspeaker crackled to life: 'Attention all students, only 1 minute remaining before the test ends.' Mr. Cipher's voice sent a ripple of panic through the group. Everyone had defeated a talking animal, but they hadn't. Luthour's voice was lipped with determination. 'If we're going to pass this test, we need teamwork.'

Thadeus and Aries exchanged a reluctant glance, but they knew they had no choice. They hid in a bush, stalking a group of cunning foxes. Unbeknownst to them, the foxes were circling around them, ready to attack.

With 30 seconds remaining, the boys knew they had to act fast.

The Oger crept up on a group of unsuspecting kids, their laughter and chatter a cruel serenade to its twisted desires. Its lips curled into a sadistic grin, revealing jagged, yellowed teeth, as it raised its massive club high above its head. With a single, bone-crushing swing, it shattered their skulls, the sound echoing through the forest like a sickening crack of thunder. The kids' bodies were sent flying, their limbs splaying out in unnatural angles, as the ogre dragged their mangled remains into the darkest, most forsaken depths of the forest. Their desperate screams for mercy were drowned out by the rustling of leaves and the snapping of twigs, forever silenced by the ogre's brutal grip. No one heard their haunting cries, no one saw their terror, and their bodies were never found, lost forever in the dark, twisted heart of the forest, where nightmares come to life...
