Sunday morning, outside Aries's home. Aries struggled to summon two different summonings simultaneously, his magic energy waning with each attempt. His father, Kane Powers, stumbled into the yard, reeking of alcohol. Aries's cold, dark purple eyes locked onto him, his expression unyielding.
'Ohhh, come on, son, don't look at me with those eyes of yours,' Kane slurred, swaying slightly. 'Haha, I see you're struggling. Need some help? Ahh!'
Aries's gaze hardened. 'The deadbeat dad finally shows up, huh? I don't need your help, you geezer.'
Kane chuckled, unfazed. 'Hah! Hah! Hah! Still funny as hell, kid. But you're doing it wrong, you know? Your problem is you think too much. Not that you can't do it... you just need to ease your mind so the magic energy can move freely.'
Kane Powers, a light-skinned black man in his early 40s with a ponytail and white hair, demonstrated his technique. With arms outstretched, he summoned a Sabertooth tiger and a Divine Knight with ease. He then picked up his bottle ,took a sip, and headed inside.
'For an alcoholic, he's still impressive as I remember,' Aries muttered, dispatching the summonings with a conjuration lvl 3 lightning blast.
Meanwhile, Mr. Cipher sat at his desk, overwhelmed by the task ahead. 'Hmm... this is proving to be rather difficult. What shall I do? Today's heat isn't helping.'
He looked at the papers ,his students names staring back at him. 'I have decided,' he said finally .'Putting Luthour, Aries, and Thadeus in the same team can be beneficial. They both have potential to become great heroes... but I fear the dynamics between them will get in the way.'
He sighed , tapping his pen against his desk. ' But if I remove one and replace him with a girl ,she can provide the balance needed. But who ? Tamika,Eve ,or Alexa ? '
Later that day,Mr Cipher stood before his class ,a stack of papers in hand. ' Greetings to you all. I welcome you back and hope you had a nice weekend. today, I'll be grouping you into teams of three. You'll be assigned missions to gain experience.'
Aries's expression darkened. 'Teams, huh? Great, I already don't like where this is going.'
Thadeus, meanwhile, was daydreaming. 'Teams? Oh boy, oh boy! I hope I get Alexa and Eve... just the thought of being teamed up with two girls makes me feel like I'm in heaven already.'
' Eve , Luthour,and Tamika,from now on, you're team Beta,' Mr Cipher said , reading from his papers
Luthour's thoughts were not enthusiastic about this. 'Great, now I have to deal with not one but two girls. This has drama written all over it.'
' Noooooooooooooooooo!? It should have been me ! ' Thadeus rolled around the ground crying.
Mr. Cipher continued, ' Alexa ,Aries and Thadeus,you'll be known as team Omega.'
' Yes! I get to be in the same team with Aries ' Alexa thought to herself trying her hardest to contain her excitement
Mr Cipher continued grouping other students , after that they geared up and wore their superhero costumes. He gave each of them their missions , and handed everything over to Liam Goldenberg. Team Beta's mission was to find a missing boy , as for team Omega it had to rescue a village from pillagers .
Liam Goldenberg opened portals to their destinations. Team Omega arrived at Woodwood Village, finding women and children tied up and crying for help.
' is that all of them ? 'asked pillager one.
' I think so '
' round them up , they will fetch us a good price when we sell them off to be used as sex slaves . I might even have fun with a few of them , especially this little one ' he said , sticking out his tongue,dying with excitement.
Aries charged forward, punching pillager one.he then grabs him by the throat and choke slammed him on the ground. Lightning sparks flashed around his arm as he prepared to obliterate his face.Thadeus intervened, stopping Aries from killing him, Alexa stumbled back slightly startled by Aries' actions.
'Aries, don't! You don't want to cross that line.'
' didn't you hear what he said ? He has probably done these horrible things to other women and children. He's a monster and he deserves to die !.'
' who are we to decide who should or shouldn't live ? Our job is to rescue people's lives without taking justice into our own hands.'
' Evil should have no room in this world, it should be eradicated!' Aries shook his head , refusing to listen to reason.
' if you do this ,then your no better than him. ' Thadeus said ,and added ' if you kill him , the number of killers in this world will still remain the same. And when you come to , you will realize that you are a part of the evil you want to eradicate.'
After hearing his words , Aries took them into consideration and decided that the pillager isn't worth killing anyway,afterall he's already pathetic and preys on the weak to feed his insatiable hunger for Lust.
He stepped back , releasing his grip from the pillagers throat and left him there unconscious. The rest of the pillagers were left in shock , they left everything and ran , making their way to the village entrance.
The team freed the captives and left to confront the rest of the pillagers. Surprisingly they even had henchmen.
Alexa stepped forward cracking her neck side to side and said' Boys , let me handle this.'
' there's too many of them ,what are you going to do ?' seduce them to death ' Thadeus jokingly said
' you idiot!' Alexa smacked Thadeus making him fall down face first.
Aries finally cracked a smile, earning a laugh from Thadeus and Alexa.
' whoa,I never thought I would see the day when I would see you laugh ,Aries' said Alexa blushing ' cuteness overload!!!'
' you are capable of laughter?' asked Thadeus as he starts to laugh as well , standing beside him.
' I'm human aren't I ? So of course I'm capable of laughter!' Aries crossed his arms pouting.
The pillager leader looked at his men pissed and glanced back at the children , squinting his eyes . ' word has it that you beat up one of my men pretty badly,is this true ?'
' yes ' they replied
' well you picked the wrong time to wear Halloween costumes and play superheroes. Kill the boys but spare the girl ,she'll be coming home with us .' he ordered his men
They stampeded towards Alexa all at once . Alexa shifted her hands and feet accordingly in sight and started beating all of them all at once. The boys watched in awe as she knocked out the henchmen and their leader.
Team Omega tied up all the pillagers,along with the henchmen, and called the authorities to arrest them. The villagers swarmed around team Omega ,their faces etched with gratitude and relief. Tears of joy streamed down the women's cheeks as they hugged the heroes, thanking them in hushed trembling voices. Children,freed from their restraints danced and laughed,their eyes shining with excitement
With the mission a success, Team Omega prepared to go back to their school.
