"Ser Duncan, can you tell me what's happening here?"
The man in bronze armor, like a burly god or demon, gazed sternly at the tall Duncan, his voice low and solemn.
Duncan's expression was indifferent. "Nothing, Ser Robar Royce."
Robar... Could it be the second son of the Earl of Runestone, Robar of the Red Cloaks?
Lynn's expression shifted slightly upon hearing this.
So this guy is still in Runestone.
However, he should be heading to Storm's End to join Renly soon, I reckon. As a second son, Robert could not inherit land or titles and had to find a way to make a name for himself.
In the history of Game of Thrones, during the War of the Five Kings, he chose to join Renly Baratheon's army. Renly had known him for a long time and trusted him greatly, so he took him into the Rainbow Guard and made him the Red Guard.
Robert, in his bronze knight's armor, chuckled and said, "Ser Duncan, I'm afraid you've mistakenly killed civilians in Runestone. If you don't want to be caught by my father and put on trial, I can take you away. We'll go to Storm's End."Tall Duncan sneered, "You came to find me just to have me go with you to Storm's End?"
"Renly has crowned himself king at Storm's End, commanding a hundred thousand men. I had dealings with him at the Hand's Tourney in King's Landing. Join him, and with your strength, once Renly ascends the Iron Throne, there will be a place for you on the Kingsguard."
Robert's voice was low and resonant.
Duncan scoffed.
Lynn, on the other hand, looked disdainful.
Renly seemed to be the most popular in the War of the Five Kings, with the most supporters, and seemed to have the best chance of seizing the Iron Throne.
But alas, he is a short-lived ghost. Moreover, after Renly's death, his good friend and confidant, Ser Loras Tyrell, the 'Knight of Flowers,' would go mad and, in his rage, hack you, Robert of the Red Cloaks, to death to accompany him in death.
Of course, Lynn couldn't reveal these thoughts to the public.
With the Knight Hall of Fame reward at stake, he wouldn't let Duncan the Tall get away no matter what.
Besides, recruiting a knight with outstanding martial prowess would be of great benefit to Lynn's future plans.
Making a name for oneself and standing out is what every knight desires, and Lynn was really worried that Duncan would be swayed by Robert's words. He broke the silence, taking the initiative:
"I didn't see Ser Duncan wrongfully kill civilians? However, I did see someone using schemes and tricks to win people's hearts, claiming it was for their own good. That's a novelty."
Lynn had essentially slapped Robert in the face right there.
Robert, beneath his bronze armor, twisted his neck, his body stiffening for a moment, and said angrily to Lynn, "Who are you? Spreading rumors in Runestone will get you killed."
Lynn smiled disdainfully,
"This matter started because of me. Your foolish subordinates should never have included me when they plotted against Ser Duncan.""Are you threatening me now? You're not Ser Robert of Runestone anymore, so what are you so tough about?"
Duncan and Stone both turned to look at Lynn in surprise.
Stone looked puzzled and couldn't help but interject, "Sir, why do you say that? How is Robert not Ser Robert of Runestone anymore?"
Lynn chuckled and said slowly, "The Vale hasn't announced its support for Renly. The Vale is still King's Landing's Vale. Ser Robert just announced that he's going to join the 'King' Renly, so he's no longer King's Landing's Ser Robert."Moreover, Lord Yohn Royce of Runestone would probably be unwilling to support Renly, otherwise Ser Robar wouldn't have needed to go to Storm's End alone.
Therefore, Ser Robar is not only not a knight of Runestone, but can even be considered a traitor to the Vale and Runestone."
Lynn spoke eloquently.
Stone was stunned by what he said, and even Ser Duncan turned his head to look at Lynn a few more times.
Robar Royce was even more furious.
"Swish!"
Robar drew his sword from his waist on the spot.Glaring at Lynn, grinding his teeth, he said in a sinister voice, "Are you looking for death?"
Hood and Rodat behind Lynn also drew their swords, cautiously on guard.
Awakened from his daze, the knight Stone also had to draw the weapon from his waist.
He stood in front of Lynn.
Lynn had just helped them, and Stone and Duncan, adhering to their knightly spirit, would never allow Robert to endanger Lynn's life in front of them.
Inside the tavern, the sound of swords and knives being drawn suddenly erupted.
For a moment, the atmosphere became tense. The patrons trapped in the tavern were pale, each one daring not to speak out in anger, huddled in the corner trembling.
The frozen atmosphere didn't last long.
"Hahaha," Robert roared with laughter, brandishing his sword, breaking the silence. "Get out of the way. As punishment for falsely accusing a knight, I am entitled to kill him now to uphold my dignity."
Duncan spoke up, "Robert, do you really think that by virtue of being the son of the lord of Runestone City and holding the title of knight, you are qualified to judge a nobleman?"
"He's a nobleman?" Robert said with disbelief.Gough said with disdain, "Of course, you recognize the guard swords worn by his attendants, don't you?"
Robert fell silent, and after a moment, his voice was cold, filled with anger and resentment.
"So what if he's a nobleman? Just like my brother, Andar Royce, that good-for-nothing. Just look at his pathetic, skinny little body, and you know he's a useless waste."
Robert's voice rose from a low rumble to a roar, and finally he roared, "That kind of waste, just because he was born with the right of inheritance, exclusively enjoys the qualification to inherit fiefs and titles. I won't accept it!"Lynn's face almost twisted in anger, being pointed at with a sword and cursed as trash on the spot.
So what if he's 1.175 meters tall and weighs 120? That's the standard build for the 21st century! Why are you calling me trash?
Besides, I transmigrated here through my own abilities. How am I skinny?
It's clearly you guys who are too big, okay?
Lynn sneered repeatedly and retorted, "If I said I had evidence proving that you arranged to poison the deceased, and it had nothing to do with Sir Duncan's mistake, what would you do if I revealed it?"Robert's body jolted within his bronze armor.
However, he quickly regained his composure.
A contemptuous curve formed on the corner of his mouth hidden beneath the bronze helmet, and he sneered, "Nonsense. But if you can give me a good reason, I'll spare your life."
"No," Lynn waved his hand, "I don't think you have the ability to take my life. I only have one request."
Robert said angrily, "Speak quickly."
Lynn cleared his throat and said with a face full of righteousness, "Simple, I only hope that you will bind your own hands and apologize to Sir Duncan."
Upon hearing this, Stonefist glanced back at Lynn in surprise.Sir Duncan beside him was equally surprised.
Lynn saw that the other party was indeed infected by his righteousness, and the hope of subduing the Hall of Fame knight greatly increased.
Lynn quickly continued to add fuel to the fire.
He waved his hand and said sternly, "Maintaining the dignity of other knights is my motto, and I'm determined to take care of this matter today."
Where are the brothers who said they would give tickets every day? The recommendation votes are not increasing, and the new book list has dropped by 3 places.
