LINDSEY'S POV
I couldn't believe I was going to marry Riven of all people, I wished it was someone else but it was all done. I didn't even know how they chose the perfect size of the dress for me. Rean as his twin was also his accomplice. She stood there as the makeup artists did there job. I had refused all that but she insisted on wanting me dressed and beautiful though the wedding was to be attended by only us. I prayed hard in order to find out it was all a dream or prunk but I saw myself before Riven vowing to love him in sickness or health and the rest as if I could even ever love him.
"I take you to be my lawfully wedded partner,
to have and to hold from this day forward,
for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer,
in sickness and in health,
to love and to cherish,
until death do us part."
I nearly threw up when he said until death do us part, as if... God forbid that!! I even suggested court marriage but he refused. He said he never believed in it that much. Did the marriage even matter, was God in it , the marriage was forced. All in all, I was married to him.
When we were out, I asked for my dress that I had been wearing but Rean instead gave me a shopping bag with a navy blue long dress which had a very long slit. It was long sleeed and slightly open at the shoulders. I had nothing to do because everything seemed to be a command there.
" what if it were you being treated like this?" I asked Rean but never waited for her answer. I received a phone call from mum saying she had received news that all the accusations at hospital were cleared and she was called back to work.
She also said she was going back into the house because the people who moved her said it had been a misunderstanding and that they had compensated her richly. I took the initiative to call Alia and as expected my dad and Alicia were already home and the scenario was the same. My father told me he wàs okay and that he had been taken to check on a certain patient.

" You are now part of our family, you need to come with us to attend Avery's wedding" I looked at Rean who spoke to me as though everything was okay, like I had agreed to this willingly.
" what if I don't?" I asked her looking straight at her. She sighed before replying, leaning besides the car.
" why do you think I am here Lindsey, I know you are stubborn and my brother is worse than that, I just wanted to make sure the both of you don't end up making more mistakes, I know what happened between you and Riven in the past, but Riven is not what he seems to be with time you will understand, besides there is a lot more to Stuart and Avery's relationship than you know. I think we should get going, I will sit with you."
When we arrived at the reception, we arrived a bit late because the couple was already wedded. The way Stuart looked at me when he saw me, as if we had never known each other before. Rean never left my side all along. She took me to her father who is my professor. He was surprised to discover that we knew each other, she didn't tell him about my relationship with Riven. The whole evening, Stuart never crossed my path, Avery seemed satisfied with all she had achieved. Everything happened accordingly, as expected of Riven, he had won the battle. Riven was occupied all the time, I never talked to him again ever since we exchanged vows.
" I will be heading to my villa I guess you will be moving in with Riven." Rean said her cherio
" what if I don't want to go?" I questioned. She was silent until she smiled.she was really beautiful.
" you can come with me" she suggested. That was a savior pick for me.
